At last night’s AEW All Out PPV from the Sears Center in Chicago, Santana & Ortiz made an unadvertised appearance. The former Impact tag team champions attacked the Lucha Bros, Pentagon and Fenix. The Lucha Bros had just defeated the Young Bucks in a ladder match to retain the AAA tag team championships at the time.
According to a report form PW Insider, the pair won’t be going by the LAX name in AEW, however. The LAX name is owned by Impact Wrestling. As for what name the team will be going with, that is still unknown at this point.
LAX Gone From Impact Wrestling
It was just announced on Impact Wrestling on Friday night that the pair’s match against the North for the tag titles with LAX’s Impact careers on the line will air next week. The match was taped in Mexico city two weeks ago.
Following their final match with the promotion, LAX released a statement thanking Impact:
“Last night we wrestled our final match with Impact Wrestling.
Our appreciation and gratitude for every single person there who had a hand in helping us get to this point, is absolutely endless.
THANK YOU for the opportunity to show the world our passion and commitment to this business. And most of all, for the opportunity to represent our people and culture on a big stage.
We are forever grateful.”
