The long-awaited welterweight title fight between Ben Askren and challenger Jay Hieron is on as both men have made weight for their five round championship headliner which will take place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS tomorrow, October 29, 2011 which will air on MTV2.
At an official ceremony at Argosy Casino in Riverside, Mo., Askren weighed 169.6 pounds. Hieron was a barely 0.2 pounds heavier at 169.8 pounds.
A few preliminary-card fighters appeared to weigh in heavy for their bouts, though executives gave no official word as to whether they will still fight and take their point losses. Check back for latest results.
