Britt Baker was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet. During the discussion, Baker talked about her heel turn in AEW, whose idea it was, and the creative process backstage in the company.
“I don’t want to say I felt lost but it just felt like I didn’t have a character,” Baker said about her pre-heel turn character. “It was something that obviously the fans can’t relate to because they’re not dentists and professional wrestlers. So, when you’re shoving it down their throats it’s almost like a slap in the face.”
She continued to say that it was Kenny Omega who had the idea of turning her heel.
“It was Kenny who had the idea of turning me heel,” she continued. “I was like ‘of course’ I’m down to try anything but I knew I was going to need a lot of help because I’ve never been a heel before ever.”
Baker also continued to talk about the backstage creative process for her in AEW.
“It’s a lot of coming together. So, Tony obviously writes the show and I’ll get bullet points. Tony, Cody and I will all kind of come together and come up with the content of what we want to say in the promos.”
Recently on Dynamite, Baker gave fans a tour of her dental office while she talked about some of the rules of being a role model.
