In what was easily one of the best matches at this year’s WrestleMania 32 event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday night, Charlotte became the new WWE Women’s Champion.
Charlotte, who entered the triple-threat match against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 32 as WWE Divas Champion and left as the new WWE Women’s Champion.
Charlotte defeated Banks and Lynch by locking Lynch in the Figure Eight while her father, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair, held onto Banks — preventing her from breaking up the hold. As a result, Lynch had no choice but to tap out, making Charlotte the winner and the brand new WWE Women’s Champion.
