-Rey Mysterio underwent yet another knee surgery this week – pushing his expected return date back even further. After years of abuse to his body due to his high flying in-ring style, WWE officials believe that Mysterio’s days as an in-ring competitor are limited.
Rey will be unable to wrestle on WWE’s upcoming tour of Mexico, but will be appearing at the events due to his marketability in Mexico.
While Mysterio has spent a lot of time on the sidelines over the years due to various injuries, he remains one of WWE’s top merchandise sellers, whether he’s currently being featured on television or not.
– Regarding the October 18th episode of RAW that tapes October 16th in Mexico City, right now it won’t be a Supershow with SmackDown stars on it because WWE has a SmackDown show in Mexico and can’t afford for the big names to miss it for RAW.
– John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kevin Nash has been discussed as the main event of WWE’s upcoming Vengeance pay-per-view.
– Regarding CM Punk’s spotlight in the WWE main events over the past few months, word is that the push will continue at least through the end of the year. Following the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Punk is scheduled to go into a singles feud with Alberto Del Rio.
