During a preview press call earlier today, FOX Sports Media Group Chairman David Hill shared his opinion on the Ultimate Fighting Championship and what he feels the promotion may hold in the future in terms of American mainstream sports:
“What boxing was to my generation is what the UFC is to my son’s. I firmly believe that in the period of this contract (seven years) that the dreams that Dana White, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta had for this sport are going to be fully realized,” said Hill. Hill went on to add, “In seven years, I believe boxing is going to be even more of a niche than it is and UFC will become mainstream.”
