Former Ultimate Fighter finalist Ed Herman and undefeated middleweight contender Clifford Starks have verbally agreed to a bout against one-another at UFC 143.
The Herman-Starks showdown is likely to serve as a preliminary bout on FX leading into the actual pay-per-view portion of the event.
UFC 143 will be headlined by an exciting bout between Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit. The Diaz-Condit match will serve as a welterweight interim championship match due to linear champion Georges St-Pierre’s injury and rehab time. The winner of the Diaz-Condit bout will then unify the title against GSP upon his Octagon return sometime in 2012.
UFC 143: “Diaz vs. Condit” takes place on Super Bowl weekend, February 4, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
