The family of the late Jonathan Rechner, better known to pro wrestling fans as former ECW Original Balls Mahoney, has launched a GoFundMe campaign in hopes of raising $25,000 for the funeral costs of Rechner.
After less than 24 hours, as of this writing, 101 donations have been made totaling $3,860 of the $25,000 goal.

The message on the GoFundMe campaign reads as follows:
April 12, 2016 my cousin Gayle and her son Christopher lost a force larger than life, Jonathan Rechner. The world knew him as ECW World Champion Balls Mahoney, but we knew him as family.
Jon was an avid reader and devoted father. He was kind and generous with his fans and his death comes a sudden and terrible loss just 1 day after his 44th birthday. I am hoping to raise funds to help cover the costs of the funeral as well as aid in taking care of Christopher and Gayle.
