Farewell to the Elite In Ring of Honor
There is some speculation at the moment that members of the Elite could still wrestle big shows with ROH next year. If the Elite continue in NJPW, they could take part in joint ROH/NJPW shows in 2019. Cody has made it clear, however, that he won’t be on the Madison Square Garden show this April.
“I can’t imagine me being on that particular show,” Cody told SI.com earlier this month. “After two ‘supercards’ and breaking my back essentially against Kenny last year, it still can’t change the fact that people are in town for WWE.”
Hangman Page, who had been with the promotion since the beginning of his career, had the following to say regarding his departure from ROH:
“I had my last ROH match this weekend,” Page Tweeted. “Showed up to their training school for a tryout as a scrawny 18-year-old. Made a lot of good friends and memories along the way. Thanks, everyone. Full speed ahead.”
