Jinder Mahal defended the WWE Championship tonight against Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison match at WWE Battleground. Orton had the match won several times but the Singh Brothers kept interfering. Orton was still able overcome the odds and started to climb up the outer-structure of the Punjabi Prison.
The Great Khali then made his WWE return and made his way down the entrance ramp as Orton was halfway up the structure. Khali then grabbed Orton by the throat and Mahal escaped the Punjabi Prison to retain his WWE Championship. After the match, Mahal and The Great Khali celebrated on the entrance ramp.
