How Much It Costs To Take Impact On The Road, Jarrett’s TNA Status, Spike TV Re-Branding

– With TNA taking Impact Wrestling on the road, the company is taking on a great deal of additional expenses. Each set of Impact tapings on the road costs the company between $600,000 and $700,000. TNA running 26 tapings per year (one episode airing live and the following week’s show being taped right after), they’re looking at around $17 million per year.

– Spike TV executives have been talking about re-branding the network, with more of an emphasis on reality television and programming for women. They are even considering changing the name of the network, if necessary. Despite these changes, TNA Impact is believed to be safe, since it’s one of their highest rated shows and it’s seen as a strong lead-in for Bellator MMA.

– Jeff Jarrett’s relationship with TNA remains unclear after the TNA co-founder was not contacted to work the recent “One Night Only” TNA Heavyweight tournament. Jarrett was written out of the storylines back in 2011. He worked on the Ring Ka King promotion and another project for the SPEED channel, but neither went anywhere.
