For only the second time ever, TNA Wrestling is taking iMPACT! on the road next month – with a live episode set to take place from the Crown Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina on February 24th. Fayetteville is the home town of Matt and Jeff Hardy.
Dating back to 2004, virtually single episode of iMPACT! has taken place from Orlando, Florida – with the one exception being a live special from the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas a few years back.
While taping every episode of iMPACT! in Orlando keeps costs down for the company, there are many drawbacks to not taking iMPACT! on the road. One of the best ways for TNA to get fan feedback on how the product is doing is by the reaction of live crowds. Since the number of fans who actually attend iMPACT! shows is very limited and tickets to iMPACT! tapings are given out for free, the company and its talent are missing out on essential product feedback.
