Conrad Thompson has revealed on Twitter that All Elite Wrestling’s Jon Moxley will unfortunately no longer be attending Starrcast.
Thompson cited the same elbow infection that forced Moxley to pull out of his highly-anticipated grudge match at All Out.
As soon as Moxley found out, he apparently contacted Conrad to inform him of the situation, telling them he was sorry.
“We received word today that unfortunately @JonMoxley won’t be able to travel to @StarrcastEvents. Once he got the word from his doctor he told us, “I’m sorry, this sucks.” I’m sure we all echo those sentiments. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon.
He followed it up with another tweet, regarding those who had purchased Meet and Greet opportunities to meet Moxley:
“Everyone who purchased his meet and greet has been notified via email. Refunds will begin being processed tomorrow. His stage show has been cancelled and a new schedule will be released tomorrow.”
Despite this bad luck, Starrcast will still feature an all-star lineup.
Notably, former WWE Superstar CM Punk will be in attendance for an on-stage interview. Other wrestlers have speculated that Punk’s involvement with this massive pro wrestling event may be a step towards a return to the squared circle.
Starrcast III takes place between August 29-September 1st from the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Schaumburg, Illinois.
