On Saturday night, a ceremony was held at the Lucha Underground television tapings in California to honor the life of the late Perro Aguayo Jr., who tragically passed away after a horrible accident during a match at the CRASH independent wrestling event in Mexico on Friday. The ceremony was described as “very sad.”
Lucha Underground officials informed the media that talent at the taping would not be available for interviews until next week because they were too upset to talk.
There were tributes held at several other Mexican wrestling events on Saturday night, and it’s believed that many of the independent shows in California during WrestleMania 31 weekend in California will also have some form of a tribute to Aguayo Jr.
Aguayo Jr.’s funeral is being held today in Guadalajara.
