He is scheduled to meet an orthopaedic doctor today to find out how long he will be out of action for.
16-Year Career Peaking
The 36-year old Cross began his pro-wrestling career in 2001 under the name M-Dogg 20. He would spend two years wrestling with the hardcore promotion Combat Zone Wrestling from 2002-04. He also appeared in Ring of Honor under the name Matt Cross from 2006-09.
Cross would wrestle some tryout matches for the WWE in 2010. He would also participate in the re-vamped season of Tough Enough. Surprisingly he was eliminated on the second week of the show. He would make some contacts on that show that would eventually land him a spot in Lucha Underground however, namely LU head writer Chris DeJoseph.
After appearing on the very first episode of Lucha Underground, under the name “Son of Havoc”, he has become one of the show’s most popular luchadors. The broken leg should not impact his ability to tape episodes for LU, considering they are most likely not filming again until the fall.
This should be fun…
