Chris DeJoseph was one of the minds behind the unique and creative Lucha Underground program. He’s also a former writer for WWE and the performer behind the “Big Dick Johnson” character in several DX sketches. MLW has just announced they have hired DeJoseph as an Executive Producer.
MLW broke the news to SI.com today.
“Since the last season of Lucha Underground, I’ve had an itch to get back in the game,” DeJoseph said. “I’ve been watching what they’ve been doing and the steps they are taking to keep building, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with MLW.”
DeJoseph’s first day on the job will be Saturday’s Super Fight event, MLW’s debut on PPV.
“So much has sprouted from the alternative universe of Lucha Underground,” DeJoseph continued. “The wrestling world is exploding right now, and I’m looking forward to riding that wave.”
