MLW Fusion Episode 80 Results & Full Episode (Video)

Episode 80 of MLW Fusion is now online with this week’s show titled, “Jimmy Havoc’s Slaughterhouse.”

Rich Bocchini and A.J. Kirsch announces The Dynasty’s lawyers got a court ordered injunction against defending the MLW World Tag Team Championship against The Monarchs in Tijuana, Mexico. Next they set up the video clip of Ross and Marshall Von Erich, asking for their take on things…

Video Package

Marshall Von Erich opens, “Extremely frustrated, but it showed us two things. One thing, the Dynasty, they’re afraid of us. They’re scared, so they see us as a threat. Another thing, they’re champions. Conduct yourself like champions. Act like champions. You represent MLW, act like it.”

Marshall goes on to say they received some good news earlier in the day, to which Ross chimes in that they have, “great news.” Marshall says, “League officials let us know that our match has been moved to the Super Fight PPV on November second in Chicago, the windy city.” Ross adds, “It’s gonna be windy alright, it’s gonna be a Texas Tornado Tag Match” but the Von Erich’s are gonna be at home. We can’t wait!”

MLW FUSION RESULTS (10/21/19)

Opening Video Package

Havoc’s voice plays over the video package being shown “I’m willing to bleed for my art, and I am willing to make you bleed too.” A heartbeat continues to grow louder and faster as the clips are strobbing just as quickly showing different scenes of Havoc’s torture inside the ring. The words “Jimmy Havoc’s Slaughterhouse” appear across the screen, then blinks to black.

Show Opening

The screen blinks once again, this time Jimmy Havoc appearing alone in front of a worn brick wall. Havoc welcomes fans of MLW to “Jimmy Havoc’s Slaughterhouse.” He asserts that he has been made executive producer of tonight’s episode of MLW Fusion for this 80th episode.

“You can sort of guess what’s gonna happen here. We’re gonna have loads of fluffy dogs, unicorns, rainbows… and a LOT of blood and violence. Which is exactly what I like.” Havoc says as more clips of himself in the ring strobe in and out between his words.

Havoc begins his duties as executive producer by announcing his first order of business being a Tijuana Street Fight between “????? (Presented by Sauna De La Renta”) vs. Josef Samael”, saying it’s gonna get messy and he’s gonna love it.
Havoc continues, “The next order of business… Me. Against Savio Vega and Damian 666. This won’t be a ‘passing of the torch’, it will be ripping the torch out of their cold dead hands and Jimmy Havoc stands victorious as the best hardcore wrestler on the planet.”

Suddenly in a much lighter voice, Havoc chipperly asserts, “Let’s get back to the ring, shall we?”

Inside the Arena

This is the first glimpse of the ring and stage as the camera pans down the audience towards the stage entrance to the ramp. The crowd is cheering as the first match is about the begin.

Three on Three Match

Los Haraganes (Animal, Demencia, & Silver Star) vs. Triple Amenaza (Star Boy, Arandu, & Zarco)

Los Haraganes is out first as they make their way down the ramp towards the ring. They continue to hype the crowd as a quick promo for Super Fight on November 2nd airs. Triple Amenaza make their way to the ring next. Los Haraganes wastes no time as a trifecta of Suicide Bombs come flying over the top ropes onto Triple Amenaza before the match officially begins.

The ref signals for an official start to this No Disqualification Match as most of the action stays out in the crowd at first. Finally all three men of Los Haraganes are in the ring attacking one of Triple Amenaza. Finally Star Boy makes his way back into the ring to try and help, Los Haraganes team up on him with a Guillotine Leg Drop. Star Boy sends Demencia sliding out of the ring, directly into the guard rail. Later Silver Star hits a Springboard Arm Drag onto Star Boy ringside. Los Haraganes gets three Power Bombs in a row on Star Boy for the win.

Winner: Los Haraganes

Backstage

LA Park is shown sending a message to Fatu, that he is going to battle on November 2nd in Chicago at SuperFight. LA Park tells Fatu that he is going to break his face and end him in a bit more explicit wording (not edited in closed caption). He ends by saying he will be taking the championship to Mexico.

Tijuana Street Fight Match

Josef Samael vs. El Hijo de LA Park

Jimmy Havoc is shown outside of the arena with Salina de la Renta, El Hijo de LA Park, and a referee where the fight is set to take place. Out of nowhere Samael attacks Hijo to begin the match. Samael headbutts Hijo against a nearby fence as Salina stands by screaming at Hijo to get back up.

As Hijo makes his way back to his feet, he slams Samael through a wooden floor board and begins stomping him. Samael tries to break free as Hijo begins choking him. Hijo picks up the broken board and starts beating Samael with it.

Hijo looks as though he may win the fight until Ikuro Kwon and Simon Gotch run into him and begin beating him to the ground. Salina is calling for help as Hijo is still being attacked and the cameras cut off.

Winner: No Contest

No Disqualification Match

Jimmy Havoc vs. Savio Vega vs. Damian 666

Savio Vega is announced first as his music plays and he makes his way down the ramp and into the ring. The audience goes crazy for Jimmy Havoc as he makes his way to the ring second. Damian 666 comes out last and makes his way to the ring last as the three men enter different corners of the ring and the ref signals for the bell to ring and the match begins.

Not wasting any time, as the bell rings Savio Vega and Damian 666 team up on Havoc and with a double boot, they knock him out of the ring. Vega then turns on Damian 666 with a Clothesline as Havoc makes his way back into the ring with cookie sheets and a trash can.

Havoc knocks Vega down and then goes for Damian who seemed to feel nothing from the hit. Havoc looks apologetic as Damian snatches the cookie sheet and hits Havoc in the head. Vega gets in some good hits with his kendo stick. Damian gets a 2 count on Vega.

Damian begins to beat Havoc with a chair after already attacking him and Vega with a whip. Havoc puts thumbtacks onto a chair which he coincidentally ends up sitting in himself. Vega then slammed Havoc into the chair again after a Drop Toehold sent Havoc into the tacked chair.

Havoc is set up on a table Vega brought into the ring, but before Vega can do anything, Havoc dropped him on the top rope. Damian takes this opportunity to Superplex Vega through the table. Damian is then tossed out of the ring by Havoc who made his way back in. Havoc hits an Acid Rainmaker on Vega for the pin and three count win.

Winner: Jimmy Havoc

After the Match

The ref raises Havoc’s arm in victory as the bell is ringing to end the match. Jimmy Havoc goes after Damian 666 who is still inside the ring with another Acid Rainmaker. Havoc begins pounding fists on Damian, at one point biting him. The assault would most likely have continued, but Bestia 666 comes sliding in the ring as Havoc flees to the outside of the ring as the show ends.

MLW FUSION RESULTS (10/14/19)

Opener

Dynasty members Alex Hammerstone, MJF, and Richard Holliday are seen walking out of the building down talking Mexican wrestling and it’s wrestlers as Salina de la Renta is entering. Salina quickly suggests the trio face off against Los Parks. Hammerstone agrees to the match on Dynasty’s behalf with a reluctant MJF and Holliday looking on with less positivity.

The Fusion opening video is shown on the jumbotron.

AJ Kirsh and Rich Bocchini are announcing for tonight’s show as they begin hyping the matches to come.

Oraculo vs. Black Danger vs. Ricky Marvin in Three-Way Match

Oraculo drops a 450 splash on Black Danger for a three count pin.

Winner: Oraculo

Backstage

Low Ki is seen with Kaci Lennox who holds a mic for Ki as he tells Brian Pillman Jr. his loss to Austin Aries was caused by letting his emotions get the better of him. Pillman is visibly upset by the statement, so before stomping off he tells Low Ki he doesn’t know anything about him.

Video Package

Dynasty members are seen leaving a Mexican pharmacy. The cameraman asks what the men are doing at a pharmacy. Unable to contain his excitment, Hammerstone replied, “it’s legal in Mexico, and I can never get enough.”

Backstage

Salina de la Renta speaks on the MLW Championship pay-per-view match set to take place between LA Park and Jacob Fatu when Josef Samael interrupts, saying he’s been listening to her. Rather than being angry and acting out against Salina, Samael compliments her, saying she is intelligent and beautiful. He goes on to say she thinks with her heart instead of her mind.

The two are going back and forth when Jimmy Havoc shows up and explains he is the executive producer of the Halloween edition. Havoc tells Salina and Samael that he wants a member of both Promociones Dorado and Contra in a Tijuana street fight, and he wants blood. Samael chooses himself to represent Contra Unit, and Salina says she has the perfect competitor for him…

The Crash Heavyweight Champion Rey Horus vs. MLW National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone in a Title vs. Title Match

(With titles on the line, upon a victory tonight, Horus would then have to take on Davey Boy Smith Jr. to defend the MLW National Openweight Title at the pay-per-view.)

Alexander Hammerstone dominates the match early on including a fallaway slam, a German suplex, and a sit-out powerbomb on Horus. Mid-match Horus musters energy attempting to turn the match around with a sommersault plancha and shortly after followed with a springboard DDT for a near fall.
Hammerstone charges at Horus, accidentally knocking out the referee. Hammerstone gets an obvious three count pinfall, though the ref is still out. Hammerstone exits the ring and brings in a chair and attempts to powerbomb Horus onto it.

Horus quickly counters for a nearfall on Hammerstone. Horus continues with a drop toehold into the chair, following with a 450 splash. Horus is suddenly pulled ringside by MJF and Richard Holliday, who mercilessly stomp Horus for the DQ.

Winner: Rey Horus

Before the Match:

MJF has the mic, the crowd boos. Tag-team champions taunting the crowd, exclaiming he can’t wait until Donald Trump builds the wall. The crowd chants “Mexico” in unison.

MJF and Richard Holliday vs. Hijo de LA Park (w/ Salina de la Renta) and LA Park Jr. in MLW Tag-team Title Match

Richard Holliday eggs on the crowd early on in the match. MJF and Holliday land a Double Suplex followed by showboating and gyrating around the ring, not paying attention to their competitors getting back to their feet. Holliday caught off guard as Los Parks get a close two-count, MJF breaks it up in time. All four competitors end up on the outside of the ring. Los Parks perform suicide dives onto them. Making their way back in the ring, a gut wrench powerbomb and an obscene pose by both MJF and Holliday on Hijo for the three count double pin.

Winner: MJF and Richard Holliday (retains MLW Tag-Team Championships)

Court Bauer On Relationship Between AEW & MLW

Several MLW-contracted wrestlers have become regular members of the AEW roster. Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Brian Pillman Jr and a few others have appeared on multiple AEW shows while still being under contract with Major League Wrestling. Announcer Tony Shiavone is now also in that group.

MLW’s Court Bauer addressed the relationship between the two promotions on a recent media call.

“People probably want there to be some animosity between our two organizations as that is kind of the history of wrestling where you have to go to war and stuff, that there has to be some weird tension but there isn’t here,” Bauer said in regard to the relationship between AEW and MLW.

“Funny story, I’ve been interviewed by the media once or twice and I’ve been given these loaded questions where [they were hoping] I would smash AEW, but my response has always been to give my genuine feelings and fondness towards Tony, Cody, and the guys. Guess what? They never ran those quotes! I guess it’s not as sexy, but the truth was I really want those guys to succeed.”

Bauer would continue to say he wants both promotions to succeed.

“I want AEW and MLW to succeed. It shows that there is a bigger world beyond our industry that shares the market that is completely valuable in appeal that isn’t WWE. For twenty years, frankly, probably longer, WWE has had a massive, massive dip on the market share and for media rights, licensing, you name it, they have owned it in the wrestling space and that narrative needs to change. If we’re not successful, that’s bad for the fans, the talent, the crew, and the health of our business.”

The full interview can be listed to in the player below:

MLW vs AEW War?

Bauer also addressed the possibility of a MLW vs AEW storyline happening someday.

“Is there going to be some big world war between promotions? Maybe that’s where this goes, maybe it doesn’t. Are there other strategic alliances? Maybe there are, maybe there aren’t, but I know that the fans will enjoy that so the media, and maybe a few companies, but I really have to say Tony [Khan] is a great guy, so is Cody. I genuinely like all of those guys. Right now it’s been great.”

Jim Cornette Gone From MLW

Bauer also addressed Jim Cornette’s role in MLW. Bauer noted that Cornette does not have any further dates booked with the promotion.

“Jim came in to pitch in for a certain amount of dates when Tony [Schiavone] could not make his commitments that were carved out in his contract. Jim fulfilled his last date with us on July 6th so, as of right now, we don’t have any future dates with Jim.”

AJ Kirsch Joins MLW’s Broadcast Booth

Major League Wrestling has signed AJ Kirsch to join Rich Bocchini and Tony Shiavone in its broadcast team, the company announced.

The news was initially broken by SI.com, which Kirsch confirmed on his Twitter:

Kirsch first began his career as a professional wrestler in 2005 and competed on the west coast wrestling circuit. He was cast as a contestant on WWE’s Tough Enough season five.

In October 2011, he participated in the TNA Gut Check contest in Sacramento, California.

Kirsch was also the winner of The Rock’s “Rock the Promo”, a ten-episode promo competition series on The Rock’s YouTube channel. He recently voiced Buzz, the lead protagonist in the MyCAREER mode of WWE2K19.

The company has revealed that AJ will be broadcasting for the first time in Tijuana this Saturday for the MLW x The Crash Lucha Libre event.

MLW CEO Court Bauer said that he wanted to “add some youthful exuberance on the headset”, and that’s why Kirsch was picked.

The company will be holding their first-ever PPV on November 2, dubbed MLW Saturday Night SuperFight. It will will take place at the Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. Jacob Fatu (c) vs. LA Park for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship has been confirmed so far.

Dominic Garrini Signs Multi-Year Deal With MLW

Major League Wrestling (MLW) has announced that they have signed Dominic Garrini to a multi-year contract. Garrini is described by MLW as “ice-cold, calculated and quick to submit adversaries.”

As a competitor, he has earned himself the nicknames ‘The Crippler of Canton’ and ‘The Bone Collector.’ He represents Team East Coast Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Grappling Background

In an official statement, MLW wrote that Garrini has reached rarified air by being one of the “top 10 ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the world.” Garrini is a legitimate No-Gi grappler and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt. He trains under Chad Kuhn and James Clingerman and has been acknowledged by the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s No Gi Rankings as being one of the best BJJ competitors.

Garrini has competed in over 200 competitive Jiu-Jitsu matchups. He has won gold medals from the IBJJF, ADCC, AGC, NAGA, Grapplers Quest and other notable grappling competitions. p

‘The Bone Collector’ made his debut against Ariel Dominguez during MLW’s War Chamber event on September 7th. He competed in a BJJ Gi and appears to be primed for a significant push in the promotion. His style blends his extensive grappling experience with the world of professional wrestling. Fans might be familiar with this fusion thanks to MLW star Tom Lawlor and WWE’s Matt Riddle.

MLW Honors Gary Hart With Lifetime Achievement Award (Video)

Major League Wrestling presented War Chamber from Dallas last weekend. The promotion honoured legendary wrestling manager and booker Gary Hart on the show.

“On September 7, 2019 in Dallas Major League Wrestling celebrated the life and career of the late Gary Hart,” a description of the video reads on YouTube.

MLW published their tribute to Hart on their YouTube page today which featured a Lifetime Achievement award being given to Gary’s son, Jason Hart:

MLW’s War Chamber event was taped on September 7th but will begin airing tonight on BeIN Sports (posted to YouTube Monday at 7 PM EST). The full War Chamber match between The Von Erichs, Tom Lawlor, & Low Ki against the Contra Unit is scheduled to air tonight.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. Wants The MLW Championship, Believes The Door To Return To WWE Is Open To Him

Davey Boy Smith Jr. may no longer be wrestling for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but he’s not allowing his momentum or aspirations to slow down.

Smith Jr. recently caught up with the Total Slam podcast. During their conversation, he revealed he has major championship aspirations in Major League Wrestling (MLW).

“I would like to challenge for the MLW World Title against whoever holds the title,” he stated. “I would like to thank the fans for believing in me and the majority choosing me as the future MLW World Champion, I really appreciate that. I promise you once I procure the World Championship I won’t let anybody down and I will be a fighting champion.”

Regarding a potential WWE return, he believes the door is open for him to come back. Smith Jr. used to tag with Tyson Kidd in a team named the Hart Dynasty.

“Right now, I am signed with MLW, and they’re really showcasing me good, so before I come back to WWE at some point, I would like to do some great things in my career and build my name back up in North America before I come back.”

In MLW, Smith Jr. is a part of the Hart Foundation stable alongside Brian Pillman Jr. and Teddy Hart.

Court Bauer Talks MLW Talent Working For AEW

MLW’s Court Bauer recently struck a deal with AEW to allow Tony Shiavone to work for both promotions. Several MLW contracted talents, including Maxwell Jacob Friedman, work for both companies. Bauer appeared on the WINCLY podcast recently and spoke about the future of some of MLW’s roster as AEW’s TV begins in the fall.

“There’s this misnomer that it’s like Cinderella at midnight and things are gonna automatically change when [AEW] go on TV. That’s not the case because we have pre-existing contracts and the guys that are with us are for the duration of those contracts. At that point we’ll have a conversation on if we continue to work with them or they go their separate ways,” Bauer said during the interview.

“But it’s not gonna just happen overnight where October X you’re gonna be only on that show. They have pre-existing contracts with us.”

In addition to MJF, Jimmy Havoc is also with MLW and AEW.

“It’s in everyone’s best interest to find ways to work things out rather than to flex and be all ego-driven,” he continued. “Then it just escalates things and usually it’s a negative outcome. I try to approach things more holistically and pragmatically to try and find a solution where everyone can win.”

The full interview can be listened to in the player below:

MLW & The Crash Running Joint Show 10/5 From Mexico

Earlier this month, MLW announced a strategic partnership with Mexico’s The Crash lucha libre organization. The two companies will co-promote their first show together Saturday, October 5th.

The event will take place from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico at the historic Auditorio Fausto Gutierrez. The venue seats over 5,000 fans.

This will be a TV taping for MLW Fusion and will be MLW’s largest crowd to date. Ticket information will be released in the weeks ahead.

“This partnership is starting with a bang,” said MLW CEO and founder Court Bauer. “One of the immediate goals of this partnership was to collaborate on an event of this size and scope. Tijuana is one of the hottest cities for lucha in the world and has been for decades. For The Crash to host this monumental event is history in the making for us, the sport and our fans.”

The card will feature top ranked MLW wrestlers and represents the first-time MLW has united with another company to present a co-promoted event.

For more information on this historic show, visit MLW.com.

MLW & The Crash Announce Strategic Partnership

Major League Wrestling has entered into a working relationship with Mexico’s The Crash lucha libre promotion. Based out of Tijuana, Mexico, The Crash features some of the world’s premiere up-and-coming luchadores.

In a statement sent in to SEScoops, MLW CEO Court Bauer says:

“This deal represents the dawn of a new era for lucha as the fastest growing promotion in Mexico teams with MLW to take lucha libre to America and beyond. The opportunities are endless and include a talent exchange, content collaboration and some interesting projects you’ll learn about soon.”

The announcement comes just weeks after the news of MLW forming a similar partnership with Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The partnership with Crash is the latest glimpse at a larger strategy that’s starting to come into focus. According to league officials, MLW is forming strategic alliances with international federations to create a “unified global system” to introduce pr o wrestling to new markets, exchange talent, collaborate on content and develop opportunities for the fans and athletes.

Major League Wrestling’s next live event, MLW War Chamber, takes place Saturday, September 7th from Dallas, TX.

MLW War Chamber Main Event Announced (9/7)

MLW has announced the main event for MLW War Chamber, the fight league’s upcoming show from North Richland Hills, Texas at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

The first-ever War Chamber match will feature CONTRA UNIT (and a mystery partner) facing “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, Ross & Marshall Von Erich and a mystery partner of their own.

So what, exactly, is a War Chamber match? The battle will take place inside a “carbon steel chamber with the perimeter of the top fortified with barbed wire.”

MLW has laid at the rules as follows:

  • A coin toss determines which team enters first.
  • 1-on-1 for 5:00 in stage 1 of the War Chamber.
  • The winner of coin toss comes out for 2-on-1.
  • Alternating teams have wrestlers enter every 2 minutes.
  • Once all combatants are in the War Chamber, victory is won by submission, surrender or pinfall.

MLW To Host 2019 Opera Cup Tournament

Major League Wrestling announced today plans to bring back a long-running tournament from another era of professional wrestling. They are bringing back the Opera Cup.

The last time the cup was competed for was in 1948. The winner was Stu Hart. As the last champion, Hart still had possession of the trophy upon his death in 2003. Teddy Hart inherited the cup and is now bringing it out of retirement this December. MLW has announced the tournament will take place December 5th inside New York’s Melrose Ballroom.

MLW Bringing Back The Opera Cup

“Held annually for nearly 50 years at various turn-of-the-century opera house locations from New York City to Boston, the Professional Wrestling Opera House Cup was a grueling multi-day tournament,” an MLW press release for the tournament reads.

“The best of the day competed in the tournament and would often be an entree to more success, including the World Heavyweight Championship of the day. For years the cup has sat in the attic of the Hart Mansion in Calgary until the tragic passing of the last cup recipient, Stu Hart (1948 winner).”

The event will be filmed for future episodes of MLW: Fusion on BeIN Sports.

Former WWE Superstars Kenn Doane and Mike Mondo, formerly known as the Spirit Squad in WWE, are coming to Major League Wrestling.

MLW has announced Kenn and Mike will participate in an open-to-the-public-workout Thursday at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The talented team will showcase their “athleticism, grappling, stamina, speed, endurance and strength” for the lucky fans in attendance.

The spectacle will take place prior to MLW Never Say Never, which will be a national television taping for MLW FUSION.

If you’re in the NYC area, limited tickets for MLW Never Say Never are available at MLWTickets.com.

A press release sent in to SEScoops implies the Squad might be there to do more than show off their athletic prowess. “Is the Spirt Squad all hype? Do they have the muscle to back the hustle?”

Savio Vega will take on MLW’s National Champion Alex Hammerstone when the promotion invades New York’s Melrose Ballroom next Thursday. MLW noted in a press release that the Puerto Rican wrestling legend specifically asked for this match with Hammerstone.

“Vega specifically asked for this fight and given his 30-year resume, Savio is more than a worthy challenger,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “This is going to be an unorthodox, unpredictable encounter in Queens.”

Next Thursday’s show is a TV taping for future episodes of MLW Fusion.

Jacob Fatu vs Tom Lawlor Rematch Booked For Never Say Never

Jacob Fatu defeated Tom Lawlor to win the MLW World Championship on Saturday’s live episode of Fusion from Chicago. The promotion has recently announced that the former champion plans on cashing in his rematch clause for MLW’s Never Say Never event on July 25th.

Additonally, new MLW champion Jacob Fatu and his faction of Contra Unit have evidently disappeared.

“Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu and CONTRA Unit have reportedly gone abroad. Where are the self-described global dealers in violence? No one knows for sure but with CONTRA supposedly having shadowy connections to the darkest corners of the world, it is only a matter of time before the trio release a statement,” MLW’s press release for the match reads.
