New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual G1 Climax is widely regarded as the greatest tournament in pro wrestling today. Two blocks of competitors are competing in a round robin format to determine the number 1 contender to Kenny Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship at January 4th’s Wrestle Kingdom. The tournament has now begun and here are the results from Night 10:
Zack Sabre Jr b. Tama Tonga – ZSJ took the win via DQ after Fale interfered, Tonga was already tapping out to an Armbar out of a Gun Stun
Juice Robinson b. Toru Yano – Juice took his first win of the tournament after hitting the Pulp Friction
Kota Ibushi b. Tomohiro Ishii – Ibushi took the pinfall win after hitting the Kamigoye. This was possibly the best match of the tournament thus far
Tetsuya Naito b. Hirooki Goto – Naito took the pinfall win after hitting two Destinos
Kenny Omega b. Sanada – Omega took the pinfall win after hitting the One Winged Angel
