Lineup for New Japan Cup Shows this Weekend

The New Japan Cup 2017 starts this weekend. For those unfamiliar, the New Japan Cup is a 16-man single elimination tournament featuring the company’s top heavyweights. The winner of the tournament receives a title shot against the champion of his choosing. For that reason, none of the main singles champions are entered into the tournament.

New Japan Cup Night 1- March 11th- Aichi, Japan

1. Hirai Kawato and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Taka Michinoku and El Desperado (Suzuki-Gun)

2. Jushin Liger, Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Tiger Mask, Manabu Nakanishi and Yuji Nagata (this could change since Nagata’s now in the tournament)

3. Yoshi-Hashi and Tomohiro Ishii (CHAOS) vs. Yujiro Takahashi and Kenny Omega (Bullet Club)
