Marty Scurll Makes Surprise Appearance At NWA Into The Fire

Marty Scurll has joined the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance).

The former ROH star made a surprise appearance at Saturday’s NWA Into The Fire pay-per-view from the GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia that aired on FITE.tv.

He did so after Nick Aldis defeated James Storm in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match by winning 2 falls to 1 to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title. The angle happened when the lights went out then back on with Scurll coming out to confront Aldis.

This appeared to tease a feud between the two stars at likely the next pay-per-view event for the NWA. The show is slated to take place on Friday, January 24th, 2020.

The name, location, and date has yet to be announced as of this writing.

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer reported that Scurll had at least one independent date booked and it was being kept super secret. Thus, this could be what Meltzer was talking about. It also likely confirms that he has moved on from Ring of Honor.

The future for Scurll isn’t completely known right now as not all of the details on his agreement with the NWA isn’t out yet. It’s no secret that Scurll has options right now regarding his future in the pro wrestling business.

It’s been reported that both WWE and AEW does have an interest in signing him. There have also been teases on Being The Elite about the former ROH star as he’s good friends with The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Adam Page, who are all under contract with All Elite Wrestling.
