NWA Unveils Location Of Studio TV Show

The NWA will begin taping a weekly studio show in Atlanta next month.

The National Wrestling Alliance will begin taping episodes of their new weekly studio TV show at the end of next month. Billy Corgan purchased the company in 2017 and officially took control that October. Since that time, the NWA has run events such as their 70th Anniversary show and the Crockett Cup while also bringing their NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt to promotions such as Ring of Honor.

Corgan announced earlier this summer, however, that it was time for the NWA to take the next step. That step will include filming weekly TV inside GPB (Georgia Public Broadcasting) studios in Atlanta. The first episodes will tape on September 30th and October 1st, 2019.

Limited tickets will be on sale to the public September 3rd. NWA email subscribers will get first dibs on tickets. More details in the Tweet below:

The video announcement can be viewed in the player below:

“VIP will be limited to 100 fans per night and the GA tickets will be made available with the remaining tickets. You can’t call GPB for tickets or wait on line. They will only be made available via this email newsletter on morning of 9/3/19,” an NWA post reads. You can sign up for their email newsletter here.

“Today’s announcement reveals that Georgia Public Broadcasting and GPB Studios will be the home of the National Wrestling Alliance series.”

Billy Corgan on Bringing the NWA Back Into the Spotlight

Corgan had the following to say in the video regarding what fans can expect from the show.

“We will be unscripted, uncensored and really in your face in a way that no wrestling promotion has been in your face in a very long time,” Corgan said.

“The professional wrestling that I grew up on was really more about the personalities being locked in a pressure cooker of a television studio which made you want to go see the big shows,” Corgan said in a previous video.
