Rey Mysterio will not be wrestling at the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event.
Mysterio was scheduled to take on Jushin Thunder Liger inside Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California on March 25. That is no longer the case as Mysterio’s bicep injury has forced him off the card. The announcement was made during a New Japan Cup post-tournament press conference.
IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Will Ospreay will take Mysterio’s place. It’ll be Ospreay vs. Liger in a non-title special singles match. The match will be contested under a 30-minute time limit.
