Bully Ray has issued a statement on the recent incident with a fan that caught fire on Monday through social media.
Not only did Ring of Honor comment on the situation by noting that they would be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions but also Ray. You can see their statements here:
ROH General Manager Greg Gilleland: “ROH has always taken fan-first approach, with fan experience being at the forefront of all of our live events. We consider this to be very serious and will be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions.”
The incident was brought to the attention of the public by the fan who told his side of the story after attending a recent Ring of Honor show. The fan voiced his take about the incident on his Twitter account where he noted that he was booing Allure (Velvet Sky, Angelina Love and Mandy Leon).
He and the group would then start to exchange words to the point that the fan alleged he was spit on. Another exchange with the fan and group happened later in the show.
This is when Ray’s involvement began. Minutes later, the fan was approached by security, who asked him to go to the backstage area. This was when Ray eventually appeared and security left the room. Ray told him to respect the women and ended the conversation by telling him to go be a fan.
