The Baltimore-based promotion is expected to announce more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Ring of Honor is slated to hold their Final Battle pay-per-view event on December 14, 2018 in Manhattan, New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The only other match revealed for this show is Dalton Castle battling Matt Taven with the “real world title’ being on the line.
This match will mark only the second time in three years that Lethal and Cody have met at Final Battle. If you recall, back in 2016, Cody made his promotional debut with ROH where he scored a victory over Lethal.
Just six months later, Cody beat Christopher Daniels to win the ROH World Title. Cody ended last year on a “down note” as the promotion stated in its press release about this upcoming match. That down note was the fact that Castle beat Cody to win the World Title that ended his 175-day reign as champion.
ROH will be holding TV tapings in Philadelphia the following night for upcoming episodes of their television show.
