Rumor On What TNA’s “Major Changes” Could Be

If you haven’t been following the story over the weekend, TNA President Dixie Carter has announced that TNA will soon be undergoing some “major changes” that will change the face of the company forever.

Carter wrote on Twitter over the weekend that she had just gotten off the phone with Spike TV President Kevin Kay, and that “He is all in and agrees this will change TNA on every level.”

Speculation has been rampant as to what changes TNA could make that would have such a big impact on the product. Backstage at last night’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, a lot of the talent was talking about the changes, but Dixie Carter has been very tight-lipped about the situation.

SEScoops.com received an email on Monday morning from a source about what the big surprise is. The source has been reliable in the past, but for now, take this as just a rumor. We are told that part of TNA’s “major changes” will be that the company will be dropping the monthly pay-per-view format and instead would be running live specials on Spike TV. It’s still possible that TNA would keep 2-3 pay-per-view events a year on their calendar, but the monthly pay-per-view format has proven to not be profitable for TNA and the company could actually make more money from Spike TV paying them for these live television specials.

Again, this is still a rumor, but it does jive with Dixie Carter’s comments about Spike TV President Kevin Kay being “all in” and on board with TNA’s major changes.

Stay tuned for the latest on this developing story.
