World Wonder Ring Stardom, a women’s wrestling promotion in Japan, held their Year-End Climax 2019 event today at Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo. During the show, the promotion announced that their wrestlers would be participating at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 event on January 4th, 2020 in the Tokyo Dome.
STARDOM wrestlers will participate in a dark match on the first day of NJPW’s two-day Wrestle Kingdom event. The participants and type of match have yet to be announced. The match will not be televised or recorded in any form: only the live attendees will see it.
Bushiroad, the parent company of NJPW, purchased STARDOM in October 2019, and this is the first instance of collaboration on a major event for the two promotions. The STARDOM wrestlers who participate in this special dark match will be the first women to wrestle in the Tokyo Dome since Joanie Laurer, better known as Chyna, wrestled on an NJPW Tokyo Dome show in 2002.
