Not even a week after UFC president Dana White announced that Strikeforce will not be promoting heavyweight contests anymore, the UFC executives recently revealed that former Strikeforce heavyweight Lavar Johnson will make his UFC debut and face Joey Beltran.
The two big boys will meet inside the Octagon on January 28, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois for the UFC on Fox 2 special.
While unofficial, the Beltran vs. Johnson fight will serve as a preliminary fight that evening.
