Tonight’s Impact Wrestling will feature Global Force co-founder Jeff Jarrett speaking to Mike Tenay about his return to TNA and the two companies working together.
Here’s the latest buzz regarding what’s about to unfold, courtesy of Wrestling Observer Radio:
– There is in fact an invasion angle about to unfold. The plan is for Jeff Jarrett to gain the trust of TNA President Dixie Carter and then turn heel on her. Jarrett will bring in some GFW and ex-TNA guys to take over Impact.
– Global Force was basically TNA’s last option for an invasion angle after Ring of Honor turned them down. There is no longer a working relationship with Wrestle-1 and AAA is already affiliated with Lucha Underground.
– The most recent round of TNA TV tapings (which were filmed before Slammiversary and will begin airing tonight) did not feature any invasion angles, but it will probably start with backstage segments that can be spliced into the shows.
– Despite Global Force announcing that they’ve signed Magnus, he’s not actually signed, but will be working GFW live events.
