Impact Wrestling has announced Killer Kross is no longer with the company. A brief statement at the company website reads, “IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).”
Kross posted the following video on YouTube shortly after becoming a free agent. The video features footage of the promotions Kross might show up in next, including WWE/NXT, AEW, NJPW and MLW, NWA and ROH.
Killer Kross & Impact Wrestling
Kross made his debut for Impact Wrestling in June 2018. He asked to be released in May 2019 and wrestled his last match at Slammiversary in July. The two sides had a falling out over his creative direction, finances and other issues.
Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm commented on the situation in late September. He told PWInsider, “Well, nothing has changed. Kevin decided that he would rather sort of tweet his position rather than deal with [inaudible]. We prefer talents discuss amendments as appropriate. We say the same for Kevin. He is a talented wrestler that we would prefer you to see in the ring than on the sidelines.”
When asked if Kross would return to Impact, Nordholm said, “That would require him to come speak to the company and deal with his company, rather than Tweet. I mean there’s always the possibility. We are open to all conversations.”
