-TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles is officially scheduled to work the November 16th Wrestle-1 event in Tokyo, Japan. According to one source, TNA executive Jeff Jarrett pushed for the Styles vs. Sanada match, and it could lead to Sanada coming to the United States as a part of the TNA partnership with The Great Muta’s (Keiji Mutoh) Wrestle-1 promotion.

The following are highlights from a recent Temple-News interview with TNA wrestler Christopher Daniels:
On the future of TNA: “We’re definitely not going to be done by December, for goodness sake I think we’re going through some growing pains. We’re still trying to find our legs with being on the road. I don’t think there is trouble in the sense of imminent doom.”
On whether or not fans can still perceive TNA as a top American wrestling company: “The way the wrestling world works right now is to focus on what’s happening at WWE. If people are upset with that, they can watch TNA because we’re a big alternative. We have some of the most talented wrestlers in the world. If you’re a real wrestling fan, you can’t help but appreciate that sort of effort when you’re putting out a wrestling product.”

Stern basically played down the entire thing, simply saying wrestling “is all fake sh*t.”
Eric The Midget also brought up the fact that TNA star Magnus recently talked about being attracted to Stern sidekick Robin Quivers. Eric said he wanted to set up a “Robin Quivers TNA Wrestler Dating Game,” but Stern show producer Gary “Baba Booey” Dell’Abate said he had “zero interest” in working with Eric on anything.

Brian Elliot, editor of the Fighting Spirit Magazine in the United Kingdom, recently spoke to the WrestlingNewsSource.com website about the Carter family looking to sell TNA.
Here is an excerpt of what Elliot had to say:
“The Carter family has been open to receiving offers for TNA for several months. There are a select number of business people on the inside to whom this has been made clear. You have to understand that it’s not like the company is going to be listed on eBay; keeping the fact that they are open to selling TNA to a small number of potentially interested parties keeps the price that the Carters can get for it at a much higher level than if they went public that the company was for sale.
If someone does make a bid, that information will then be leaked in certain quarters, in the hope of starting a bidding war that would raise the price further. Like with Fusient Media’s attempted purchase of WCW, if someone comes in with a bid, we’ll soon know about it.”

-According to reports, the mood in TNA regarding the company taking the television show back to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida was well-received. Apparently one of the biggest concerns among TNA talent is centered around the live event schedule. According to one source, approximately half of the active talent roster work off of a per-night deal, meaning that many of those performers would have some financial issues if the company goes with a reduced live event schedule in 2014.
As far as the payroll issue is concerned, the feeling in the company is that it has improved. The word going around TNA last month was that while many wrestlers were paid on time, multiple performers did receive their paychecks later than expected.
