Tara Says She Wants To Wrestle Chyna, Comments On Brooke

In Your Head Radio with Tara
Hosts: Jack and Oneinchbiceps
Recap by Taso the Greek
Show available at IYHWrestling.com

Tara (a/k/a Victoria) joins the IYH hosts for the second part of the show. Tara calls out Jack and Inchman about being their favorite Knockout, and talks about her trainer Rob Conway and his metro sexual ways.

Tara talks about her match with Sojo Bolt, her first friend in TNA, and their match to benefit animal rescue upcoming for Remix Wrestling in Ohio. Tara said that Sojo was a great friend in TNA but she was gone way too soon, but now her new friend in TNA is Miss Tessmacher, Brooke Adams. Tara talked about how she gets along great with Tessmacher, and brings up her skill and the fact that she was trained as a wrestler in WWE. Tara said that Tessmacher has the best ass in the business. She went on to say Tessmacher works out four hours a day in order to look that good, though.

Jack asked about the importance of looking good as opposed to being a good wrestler. Tara explained that you need to have both to succeed. She said that the best wrestlers do not get TV time and she experienced this in WWE. She went on to talk about the differences between WWE and Impact Wrestling when she first got to TNA. It was different and refreshing to her to see that wrestling was more important than good looks. The women get as much air time in the ring as they want as well, another difference from WWE. “Walking on egg shells” was another way she put it, her time spent in WWE compared to being in TNA.

Tara and the hosts talked about the main event between Gail Kim and Awesome Kong, and also her main event cage match against Mickie James. She talked about first meeting Awesome Kong. She mentioned that she has not been used a lot recently on TV with Tessmacher as Women’s Tag Champs, but she had no problem going to her bosses and explaining to them that she wants to be a fighting champion. Another difference between TNA and WWE is that you can go to your bosses and tell them how you feel.

Tara talked about the PWI 50 and how it is important to her to be number one on that list. If you are in the wrestling business, you should be trying to be #1 on that list until the day you can no longer wrestle. She hopes to wrestle for a long time.

Her dream match was to wrestle Chyna. She credits Chyna for helping her into WWE. She hoped to get a match with Chyna in TNA but it did not happen.

She would also like to wrestle Eve Torres. She practices BJJ , as does Eve, and this moves the conversation over to UFC. Tara felt that when she first talked about working in MMA she was younger and if she had jumped right in she might have been able to give it a try. But now she feels that women aren’t appreciated in the MMA world. She brings up an injury she suffered on her elbow in her cage match with Mickie James, and that was the end of any serious thought about MMA.

Tara talked about gimmick matches like ladders matches or cage matches. She felt that it was an honor to do a match like that because it meant people had faith in her to do a match like this. They are dangerous and one wrong move could end your career, so they are very scary to do.

Tara talks quickly about radio shows and radio interviews and how most interviewers don’t even know what most women wrestlers do, which she finds insulting.

More on Remix Pro wrestling: Her match against Sojo Bolt is for the #1 contendership to the title, which would mean a match against Sara Del Ray. Tara explained how huge of a match that would be for her as she felt that she would mesh very well with Sara. Also, Tommy Dreamer will be at the show and Tara talked about Tommy Dreamer’s Top 5 Crazy People in the Business list and where she is situated on that esteemed honor roll. Tara talked about Tommy and Chavo Guerrero and how you develop relationships in the business.

A caller asks what is the craziest thing Tara and Brooke Adams do? Tara mentions a Youtube video that everyone can check out of her and Brooke dancing around in a hotel room. Tara and Brooke will break out in song and dance almost anywhere, which sometimes freaks people out. She mentions that she is a huge Vampire Diaries and Twilight fan. She also said she is a huge Twitter fan as well. She talked about how she rescues dogs as well, and mentioned how crazy wrestlers are in general.

Reby Sky Talks About Matt’s Arrest, The Taser Incident, Jeff

Busted Open Interview: Reby Sky
Hosts: Doug Mortman and Dave Lagreca
Busted Open can be heard Monday, Wednesday and Friday on Sirius 94 XM 208

Reby on Matt Hardy’s online videos: “Before he posts every video I give him a talk, and I don’t want to feel like his mother or babysitter or council, but I say Matt maybe this isn’t a good idea. I tell him what I think about it, why I think that way, and he will either take it and say “okay, maybe not” or he will put it up anyway. He’s going to do what he’s going to do. He’s a very strong personality, and obviously that has gotten him to where he’s at now, that’s part of it. He does have a good formula, he takes it a little too far sometimes and gets a little caught up in the attention, but I think now he’s going to be a little smarter about what he posts.”

Reby on the rumors that she led police to Matt’s drugs: It’s just so frustrating, because they just released something that was completely not what I said. It’s pretty clear that Matt’s been needing help, and the other day he was in a bad way and I called for help. Cops came, and all these reports are saying that I led them to some secret cave that contained prescription pills. They never found any prescription pills at all in the house, what they found was steroids. After having to go to the police station to sign all these papers, I come back to my house upside down, there is five men in my kitchen and I am being interrogated. Everything that they needed to find was already found. So it is just a whole bunch of hate mail: Reby you snitch, you’re a rat. At the end of the day I just wanted Matt to get help, I called for Matt to get help, and guess what? He left this morning for WWE sponsored rehab. He is getting help.”

Reby on the Jeff Hardy taser incident: “I have to laugh, because I guess just being in it, it was done for a project called The Hardy Show, which you can find at thehardyshow.com. It’s a variety show with skits, and parodies and stuff like that, it’s kind of like a Jackass program. That was filmed for part of a Hardy show episode. And I guess with all the Jeff stuff that was going on at the time, and the way it was spun, it was in retrospect maybe not the best idea for people who aren’t aware of The Hardy Show and the content that is on there. But like I said, from now on everyone is going to be a lot more careful with anything video wise or Twitter or anything going up on the net.”

Reby on Matt Hardy returning to the ring: A full time wrestling schedule is definitely not in the picture from now on. If you ask him, that’s what he will say led to this whole thing, the full time wrestling schedule and the toll on his body and the sacrifices he had to make. Not that I am justifying anything he has done, because I am definitely not. I will say it over and over I don’t support what he has done but I will support him in bettering himself.”

Reby on Jeff’s return to the ring: “The whole thing with Jeff, we try not to talk about it to not make Matt feel bad, but everyone is very supportive of Jeff and very happy for him. It’s good that there is someone in the group doing good things, I don’t know how to say it. Jeff is completely 180, just a real standup guy and has been so supportive in trying to help Matt in getting things right. So thank God that he is right next to us, thank God for Jeff.”

Ric Flair To Undergo Suergery For Torn Left Triceps

TNA star Ric Flair is set to undergo surgery to repair a torn left triceps muscle – an injury he sustained during his recent match with Sting on Impact Wrestling.

Flair was originally told the injury was a broken bursa sac in his elbow, but it’s only gotten worse since the match.

“I thought it was getting better but the swelling just wouldn’t go away,” Flair told PostandCourier.com on Wednesday night.

Flair, who was at Boston’s Fenway Park on Tuesday to throw out the first pitch and present Red Sox players Dustin Pedroia and Josh Reddick with replica TNA title belts, said the pain has only gotten worse in recent days. “When I threw Tuesday, the arm blew up to about twice the size of the other arm. It’s all black and blue.”

Considering the fact that Flair’s legendary career has spanned nearly four decades – wrestling’s Nature Boy has remained injury-free for the majority of that run.

“I’ve never torn anything in my life except my rotator cuff,” he said. “I just landed on it wrong. And that just comes from not working enough. But it’s no big deal. It could have been a thousand other worse things.”

Ric Flair Suffers Broken Bursa Sac During Match Against Sting

Ric Flair suffered a broken bursa sac in his left elbow during his match against Sting last Monday, which aired on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling. The injury occurred when he took a superplex off the top rope.

“It was brutal,” Flair told Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier. “I thought I had broken my arm on that spot. I don’t know how I did it either.

“Sting put me down flat on that superplex, but somehow I hit something. It broke the bursa sack in my elbow. But at that moment I was sure I had broken my arm in half.”

Flair says the move was perfectly executed.

“I must have put my arm down wrong or something,” he said. “I really don’t know how it happened. I’ve got one arm twice the size of the other right now.”

Flair says the injury definitely affected the rest the match, though they were able to finish it.

“When he hit me with the (Stinger) splash and went for the Scorpion, I couldn’t even take a face bump. I couldn’t put my arm down to take it. I couldn’t hit him either. It was brutal.”

Flair added that his elbow no longer hurts and he merely needs to be cautious of acquiring an infection.

Karen Jarrett Upset With False Statements Made By Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan discussed Kurt Angle’s recent arrest for driving under the influence during an interview with Busted Open and said ex-wife Karen told him Kurt’s a horrible driver and that she didn’t allow him to drive their children during their entire marriage. Hogan said:

“The Kurt Angle thing, I don’t know what to think of it yet. They said he blew, you know, and he wasn’t drinking. I can’t even begin to go there, I’m not going to put Hulk Hogan’s opinion over what the legal system comes up with, because I don’t even know what we are talking about with Kurt. I don’t know what the facts yet, I don’t know what’s going on.”

“You know I talked to his wife and she said he’s a horrible driver. The whole time they were married she wouldn’t even let him drive the kids. He texts when he drives, he’s great in the ring as far as focusing but his people skills are horrible. He’s got two left feet, and it translates into his driving. I’m not making any excuses for him, but I want to know what the facts are before I pass any judgement.”

Karen, after reading Hogan’s remarks, wrote on Twitter,

“People should never make false statements and say they had conversations with people they didn’t!!!!”

She then requested an interview with another wrestling news site via their Twitter page, so she could “set the record straight on Hogan’s comments.”

The Vice President of the Knockouts Division added:

“One thing EVERYONE needs to know about myself…DON’T mess with my family!!!! If you do..GOD help you!!!!”

Video: Ric Flair vs. Sting From TNA Impact Wrestling (9/15)

TNA has posted the following video of Ric Flair’s match against Sting on the September 15th episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike:

Triple H Talks About Ric Flair’s Partying Lifestyle

Triple H recently spoke to Moviefone.com to promote his new WWE Studios film Inside Out.

During the interview, Triple H was asked about wrestling legend Ric Flair and his infamous partying ways. Triple H had this to say about Ric Flair, who is still going hard after all these years:

“Ric is one of my best friends. Ric doesn’t know when to walk away. Ric doesn’t want to be told to walk away. And Ric can’t afford to walk away. Ric has lived every day of his life like it’s the last for almost the fifty years he’s been in the business. In Ric’s mind, it’s still 1982, he’s on top of the world, he’s young, he’s got a lot of money. Ric has never questioned spending.”

“We have a term on the road where if you go out and you have a crazy night that you spent a ludicrous amount of money or you just lose it one day and you can’t go through another airport and you’re trying to get a jet instead, we call it ‘Naitching.’ Ridiculously spending money for no point is called ‘Naitching.'”

Triple H also spoke about the competition between WWE and UFC – which is leading many to say that Triple H is stuck in the “WWE bubble” and out of touch with reality. To read what Triple H had to say about WWE vs. UFC, hit the link below:

Hogan said he would give more information at TNA’s next Impact taping on September 21st from Knoxville, Tennesse – which will air on Spike TV on October 6th.

*SPOILERS* For Tonight’s TNA Impact (Sting vs. Flair)

Ric Flair vs. Sting A “Disaster”, Flair Reportedly Injured

At Monday’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings from Orlando, Ric Flair wrestled Sting in a match that’s been discribed as a “disaster” by one reader who was at the show and sent in a live report. The match was so bad that many have said it has no place airing on television, considering the classic encounters between both men and what most fans will be expecting from a ‘Flair vs. Sting’ match.

Ric Flair  reportedly injured his left arm during the match. Flair had TNA officials worried during the match after he clutched his shoulder and rolled out of the ring to re-group. Flair was icing his arm backstage after the match.

Regarding who is to blame, Flair was rusty from not wrestling lately and is in his 60’s, Sting appeared to have forgotten a few spots in the match as he’s been known to do, but at the end of the day, TNA are the ones who have the ultimate say and decided to book the match.

Update On Matt Hardy’s Latest DWI Arrest, Jim Ross Comments

As reported earlier, former WWE and TNA wrestler Matt Hardy was arrested once again this week in North Carolina and charged with DWI (Driving While Intoxicated).

According to police, Matt was arrested on Monday, September 12th. He was arrested by Airport Police at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

He tweeted on Tuesday that there’s some sort of conspiracy against him – claiming he was framed and apparently has a “bulls eye on his head.”

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was asked on Twitter what he thinks about Matt Hardy’s latest DWI arrest. Ross responded:

“Really, what’s left to say?”

Matt Hardy now has several court dates scheduled stemming from three separate incidents.

The first on September 28th for his August 20 DWI arrest that led to his release from TNA. That arrest brought charges of Driving While Impaired and Exceeding Safe Speed.

Next he has a court date on October 11th, from a different incident, where was charged with Reckless Driving – Wanton Disregard.

Finally, from Monday’s latest arrest, he appears in court on November 30th to face charges of driving while impaired.

*SPOILERS* TNA Impact Wrestling Results For 9/22

Credit to TNAInsider.com for these spoiler results from Tuesday’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings, airing September 22nd:

* Sting came out to start the show, clipboard in hand. He says he beat Ric Flair last week like he said he would and now gets his shot at Hulk Hogan. To make things fun, let’s bring Hogan out. Hulk Hogan joins Sting in the ring and says that this is insane and he’s not medically cleared to wrestle. Sting laughs at that and says come on Hogan. He shows a video package of Hulk using a chair multiple times on him and says he looks fine in this video. Hulk kicks the bottom rope and then holds his back as if it hurts. Sting says this match is happening whether he likes it or not.

Eric Bischoff’s music hits and comes out immediately saying this isn’t happening. Sting punches Bischoff in the face and knocks him out. Sting gets face to face with Hogan and says he’ll see him at Bound For Glory and stares him down. When Sting leaves the ring, Bischoff is coming to and Sting knocks him out again.

* Backstage, Karen Angle tells Mickie James and Brooke Tessmacher that they’re wrestling tonight and the winner goes on to face Velvet Sky. Karen asks Brooke if she’s wearing that to the ring. Brooke says she is and Karen says good, she doesn’t want her wearing any of her revealing clothing or any of her girations. She then turns to Traci Brooks (who is wearing a shirt that has a big hole in the middle to show off her cleavage) and says she needs to dress more professionally and she looks like she works in a whore house. Frankie Kazarian comes up and has some unkind words for Karen Angle and leaves with Traci.

* Mickie James b. Brooke Tessmacher with the Last Kiss Goodnight

* Ink Inc. are backstage and they are talking to each other, when at some point they are joined by a controversial girl with a pass to ask for an autograph, Moore and Neal are happy to put their signatures on a book, which happens to be a copy of the Book of D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F.

* TNA Champion Kurt Angle comes to the ring and invites Bobby Roode out with him. Angle says he’s not the one that Roode has to worry about, his partner is. James Storm comes to the ring and gets in Roode’s face. He asks if Roode thinks he’s out here because he sold out to Immortal and turned his back on him. Roode says no, he knows him better. Storm says he’s his own man and makes his own rules and does what he wants. And he says the problem isn’t with Roode, the problem is with Angle. He gets in Angle’s face and says he doesn’t listen to what he says and that if Angle wants a fight, he’s got one, with him, tonight. Sorry about your d— luck.

* For the X Division Title, Austin Aries beat Jesse Sorenson with a schoolboy

* Christopher Daniels comes to the ring and says he will not face Bobby Roode like Kurt Angle wants. He is his own man and showed that when he beat AJ Styles. AJ Styles comes to the ring and asks what Daniels’ problem is. Chris said he doesn’t have one as he beat AJ and is moving on to bigger things. After an exchange of words, Daniels and Styles begin brawling. Security tries to break it up but they keep breaking free. They fight to the backstage area and invade the Direct Auto Insurance office that’s set up. They eventually come back to the ring and Kazarian comes out to break things up. Lethal Says Hogan Wanted To Bring Savage To TNA Last Year

Jay Lethal participated in an interview with WorldWrestlingInsanity.com. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

As most fans know, Ring of Honor is embarking on a new chapter. Recently bought into by Sinclair Broadcasting, the company is set to make its TV debut with Sinclair on September 24th. Returning to the Ring after over six years, Lethal quickly captured their TV championship. As James Guttman points out, joining ROH during such an exciting time has to be great for any star. But for someone like Jay, who was there early on, the homecoming has to be sweeter. As Lethal explains to ClubWWI.com members, it is…

“Now that I’ve been back, how has it changed? I can tell you, the only two things that have changed are a few faces because a couple of Ring of Honor guys are still there from when I was there and Sinclair backing them. I am very big on promoting the fact that Ring of Honor has always had one of the best wrestling products out there. It’s just their only flaw was that they were unable to get this product out to the masses. Now they actually have that opportunity with Sinclair Broadcasting Group having bought out the company and being the new engine in the car, so to speak.”

James then mentions that Aaron Wood, a writer for WorldWrestlingInsanity.com, is flying into New York from Scotland this weekend and the top of his priority list was to attend the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor iPPV on Saturday. Guttman along with other site writers Matt Dawgs and Canadian Bulldog will be there too (https://www.rohwrestling.com/news/new-york-ny-sept-11th/). As such a pull factor for viewers – even from across the globe – Ring of Honor’s momentum seems to be going strong. It leads JG to ask a question he’s asked others. With all the talk of TNA challenging WWE, is the idea of ROH challenging TNA more believable? Is TNA’s race against ROH actually closer than the one they have with WWE? As someone who’s worked for both, Lethal tells ClubWWI listeners his thoughts and why…

“Not only is that believable to me, but it’s very conceivable, I think, to many of the fans out there, especially Ring of Honor fans – although they may be a little bit biased. But so am I because I’ve worked for both companies. I was just recently let go by TNA and I’d hate to make it sound like I’m very bitter, but I wasn’t the only one let go. There were a handful of my friends. Not just friends, but also great wrestlers were let go and I just don’t understand the reasoning behind it… As a company, if you have anybody on your roster, you’d want to find what they do well and feature that one thing.

“I think that’s one thing that TNA isn’t doing. That’s one flaw that they’re lacking for the bottom half of their show, anyway. Ring of Honor, from top to bottom, their whole product is about wrestling. We’re not trying to focus on storylines and talking and all the boring this and that. Our main focus, which is pretty cool – we’re going to get wrestling fans, because we’re about wrestling – but another aspect that we’re reaching for that WWE and TNA doesn’t seem to be reaching for is that UFC fan. UFC fans are driven by competition. Because that’s what UFC is. It’s real. It’s a competition. And that’s what we’re trying to center our Ring of Honor product on. I definitely think that we have a great chance in overtaking TNA, if they’re not careful.”

Jay speaks about specific friends let go from TNA and his feelings overall about the company’s strengths and weaknesses. For him, though, his biggest strength in Total Nonstop Action wasn’t a creative decision as much as his own impression skills. As “Black Machismo”, Jay was known for his spot-on Randy Savage impersonation. But the question that James always wondered was whether Savage was ever approached to come in. It would make sense, right? Well, during the ClubWWI.com discussion, Jay says it wasn’t a consideration and seemed to be more along the lines of thinking that Randy wouldn’t do it if asked. That is, until Hulk Hogan arrived and had an idea that sounds like many other ideas credited to him…

“Hogan came in and a couple of months from Hogan being there, he actually said he was talking with the Macho Man and working it with him to come in. Hogan actually sat me down and explained the whole thing he wanted to do too. He wanted to film vignettes of me going to Hogan, me getting Hogan pissed off, and Hogan yelling at me. Then the next time you see me, I’m at a bar and I’m talking to somebody and you can’t really see him because they’re in the shadows. But they have that Savage hat on.

“Eventually you hear Savage say that we’re getting Hogan right where we want him. We’re getting under his skin. We got him, got him, got him. So it was going to be one of those things where I’m trying to get under Hogan’s skin because that’s what Savage has me doing. Then Savage comes in and it was going to be a big attack on Hogan. That was the original plan from what I was told. I don’t know if that was ever really going to happen, but that’s what Hogan told me personally.”

James Guttman remarks that it’s funny how many of Hulk Hogan’s TV ideas usually involve people attacking Hulk Hogan. They laugh and go on to discuss Savage’s original TNA run in 2004 and more.
