More On Matt Hardy’s Incident During WM27 Weekend

– As we reported earlier this week, there was an incident that took place over WrestleMania weekend at a hotel bar between the cast of Tough Enough and former WWE superstar Matt Hardy.

The incident occurred at the Marriott Marquis hotel in downtown Atlanta, where WWE put up the Tough Enough cast as well as fans who purchased WrestleMania travel packages. The WWE superstars stayed at the Hyatt

The only details about the incident that we can confirm are that  Matt Hardy and his girlfriend Reby Sky (pictures) got into a shouting match with some of the contestants at 3am, in front of a huge group of fans.

According to a correspondent who was at the hotel bar, it was quite a sight – and appeared to be instigated by Hardy.

– While Matt Hardy and Reby Sky did caused a scene at the Marriott hotel, things were not as crazy at WWE’s WrestleMania after-party. The Rock, Snooki nor any of the McMahon family members attended. Some of the names in attendance were Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Lita and Awesome Kong.

Matt Hardy and girlfriend Reby Sky reportedly tried getting into the WrestleMania after-party, but were denied entry.

Hardy Involved In Altercation With Members Of “Tough Enough”

While details of the incident have to be disclosed, Reby Sky, Hardy’s girlfriend, revealed on her Formspring account that she and Hardy were “banned for life” from the hotel in question.

One WWE source said that if a main roster talent had done some of the things they did, termination would be likely if they were low enough on the totem pole.

TNA Planning On Bringing Jeff Hardy’s Real-life Issues To TV

Former TNA Wrestling production manager Randy Ricci says that according to reliable sources within the Nashville based organization, current creative plans call for Jeff Hardy’s real-life issues to take center stage on television.

Ricci reports on his blog (nawf.com/blog) that Hardy plans on undergoing treatment for his issues with substance abuse and will enter a rehabilitation facility. Upon his completion of rehab, he will be brought back to television as a babyface recovering from drug addiction.

Hardy was officially written off television on last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT! as Immortal announced they had severed their ties with him.

On March 13 at Victory Road, Hardy received a rematch against Sting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship under No Disqualification rules, but was defeated in ninety seconds. Behind the scenes, company officials had made the decision to cut the bout short after deeming that Hardy was in no condition to wrestle. The following day it was reported that TNA Wrestling had sent Hardy home from the week’s iMPACT! tapings. He has not appeared for the organization since.

Sarita Recalls Leaving Home To Become A Top Wrestler

Years ago, TNA Knockout Sarita left her home in Canada to become a “professional” wrestler in Mexico, where she is known as Dark Angel, as well as an icon of discipline. She discussed her life-changing move during an interview with Milenio Online.

Sarita, who’s real name is Sarah Stock, began wrestling training in December 2001 in her hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After working for various independent promotions, she moved to Monterrey, Mexico in 2003 in an effort to improve her ability. She packed her suitcase and made the move with little concern for her well-being as she was determined to become an elite performer.

(Note – rough Spanish to English translation)

“So I came in a truck from Winnipeg to New Laredo, and from there to Monterrey,” Stock recalls. “I saw a great adventure and something that I needed to do, but to leave my family, to learn a new culture, the language, the struggle to learn Spanish, but the hardest part was being away from home and how to behave in a different culture to mine

“I did not bring much money when I arrived to Monterrey. A person who makes my equipment rented several rooms in a building, which is where I stayed. It was something very different for me, as my old house had heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer, it was a comfortable house. I came to live in a room made of stone, with the bath and shower outside on the patio, and full of cockroaches, lizards, mice, all of that. I had to get used to it, it was hard. Those changes were far from easy and to live like this was a shock to me.”

In spite of the difficulties, it never passed through her mind to return home, nor was she fearful.

“My parents taught me that regardless if you want to do something there is always a way to do this, I am a woman of challenges and make plans to achieve them,” she said “Nor was I afraid. I do not know if it was youth or the excitement of a new adventure. I thought it was an opportunity to achieve my dream and I was only afraid of my greatest desire and my passion. I just thought about it and not the dangers of what could happen to me.”

At the suggestion of a promoter, Stock began competing while wearing a mask; she also took on a new ring name, Dark Angel. She initially found it difficult to work with the wrestlers in Mexico, as she did not speak Spanish and could not communicate with them throughout the match. On October 17, 2003 she defeated Simply Luscious to win the Lucha Libre Femenil Juvenil Championship. Months later, Stock lost her mask in a forty-five minute mask vs. mask match against Princesa Sujei. Shortly thereafter, she decided to leave Monterrey to move to Mexico City and wrestle for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración. Although Stock began appearing with AAA under the assumption that she would be wrestling, the company had her start out as a ring girl. Stock did not wrestle regularly for AAA, and she stopped appearing for the promotion after a few shows.

Stock signed with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in 2004, AAA’s rival promotion. She began competing regularly for CMLL as Dark Angel in the promotion’s newly-rebuilt women’s division, while also competing for various independent promotions in North America and Europe. Sarah was rewarded for her dedication as on July 1, 2005, she debuted at Arena México, “the cathedral of lucha libre.”

She recalls, “I was nervous before going out, but people responded very well and I felt very excited when fans recognized me, this fight is a memory and an unforgettable feeling.”

Stock has achieved numerous accolades since then and is considered the face of women’s wrestling in Mexico. Her notoriety in the country led her to TNA Wrestling in 2009, where she reigns as one half of the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions. She sends a message to the dreamers out there.

“You have to take life and seize it,” she says. “Someone will want you to feel less, but if you want to do something, that will start without asking permission. Do not be afraid. It is never too late to follow your dreams.”

Carter Reinstated On Twitter, Hogan Hoodwinked By Imposter

Twitter reinstated TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter’s account today after it was suspended Tuesday due to a breach of the microblogging service’s terms of use.

A background image featuring a photoshopped “Verified Account” badge was recently uploaded to the page. However, only Twitter may indicate that an account is verified. Their terms of service reads: “Misuse of Twitter Badges: You may not use a Verified Account badge or Promoted Products badge unless it is provided by Twitter. Accounts using these badges as part of profile pictures, background images, or in a way that falsely implies affiliation with Twitter will be suspended.”

Numerous users reported the violating account to Twitter, which led to its suspension. The image has now been removed.

Carter recently stopped tweeting, after getting barraged with a multitude of negative messages concerning herself and TNA Wrestling.

Her suspension from Twitter spawned a fake account, which Hulk Hogan bought as legit. The fake account asked Hogan to retweet news concerning TNA in Australia yesterday morning, and he did.

RVD Talks About Loving TNA, Hulk Hogan, Returning To WWE

TNA star Rob Van Dam spoke to the UK Sun’s SunSport blog this week and had a lot to say about what led him to join TNA, the differences between TNA and WWE and whether he’d ever return to WWE. Here are the highlights of what RVD said about:

Liking TNA More Than WWE: “Man, I love TNA! It’s a wonderful place to work. Something WWE never let me do were acting jobs, they turned them down for me. But now I’ m in a situation where I can do these things. WWE just didn’t see the potential of these opportunities and they really ruined my chances back then. I was in some very good places and they just blew it for me, by refusing point blank to negotiate anything. Whereas Dixie Carter lets us explore our possibilities and gives us that chance. Her philosophy is that our extended profile helps TNA enhance its own, and of course it does.”

What Led Him To Join TNA: “When my contract ended with the WWE, TNA tried to get me straight away but I said no. They had big plans for me, it seemed, and a spot in the Main Event Mafia was brought up. But I’m not, and never have been, one for sharing the spotlight. I prefer to be the star and in the limelight by myself.

“Plus WWE had really burned me out. My contract stated I’d be given breaks and they never gave them to me. They did that constantly and they probably wrecked the chances of many guys going back by treating the talent that way.”

“Eric Bischoff called me, Dixie Carter called me, even Jason Hervey picked up the phone. But I said to myself that they were not serious because Hogan hadn’t called yet. Then he did, I was doing my radio show and Hogan called in. The guy spent a half hour explaining on the air why I should join him in TNA. That was what got me here.”

The Possibility of Returning To WWE: “Dixie is a real people person, she is what fuels TNA, we all feed of her enthusiasm for the company. She wants first hand connection with our fans. It’s so different to how Vince McMahon runs his company. At this stage of my career they take so much better care of me, than the WWE ever did at any point. I’d go as far as to say I mean more to TNA than I ever did in WWE.

Fair play to anyone who does go back but, you know, I was so burned out and had so much trouble in my last year there that I just wanted away from that scenario. I couldn’t enjoy going out to the ring and doing my thing, it was killing me. My contract ended and I wanted out, they offered me a new one and I said no. I’m so happy being able to have the freedom at last to juggle my other projects and still go out each night and be the whole FN show.”

Jeff Hardy’s TNA Future, Future TNA Storylines, Linda

– According to TNA sources, there has been no determination made regarding the future of Jeff Hardy with TNA Wrestling. It’s very possible that it won’t even be discussed until after his April 20th court date. He’s been telling TNA management for months that everything is going to be fine but they have a hard time trusting him for obvious reasons.

Jeff Hardy is not backstage at this week’s TV tapings and rumors of him returning as a babyface are false. There haven’t even been any talks regarding that. The Hogan promo several weeks ago way the way of writing him off TV.

– Word is that barring any issues, TNA has most of the company’s top storylines planned out through June.

Twitter Suspends TNA President Dixie Carter’s Account

Twitter suspended TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter’s account today.
