Picture Of Sting’s New TNA World Title Belt

At Monday’s TNA iMPACT! tapings (airing this Thursday), Sting came out with a new TNA championship belt. That’s right, Jeff Hardy’s custom purple belt is no more.. Check out this picture of Sting with the new TNA belt:

Daffney’s Lawsuit Against TNA, Hogan’s Involvement With MCW

— Daffney announced today via Twitter that she has filed a workers’ compensation claim against TNA Wrestling, stemming from injuries she sustained working for the organization. According to a few TNA employees, there were issues between Daffney and the company regarding her medical expenses being covered after she suffered a concussion taking a bump through a barbed wire board at the October 2009 Bound For Glory pay-per-view event. The issue had been brewing for some time, which explains why she hadn’t been used as of late.

Daffney’s contract with TNA Wrestling expired today. Her profile was removed from the company website yesterday.

— Micro Championship Wrestling, which debuts later this year on truTV, is filming in Fayetteville, North Carolina for the next several days. Hulk Hogan has been very involved with the tapings as he has appeared at ringside for events. The TNA Wrestling Superstar is tapped for a big role in the show, which is a hybrid of a “reality” series that will follow the organization as it tours and tries to grow.

Ex-TNA Writer Discusses TNA’s Booking Philosophy & Russo

Power Slam recently conducted an interview with Wayne Keown, better known as Dutch Mantel. Having been involved with the wrestling industry since 1973, he accepted a behind the scenes role with TNA Wrestling in 2003, where the company’s booking strategy often clashed with his own. Dutch discussed his experience with TNA and explained the organization’s booking philosophy.

After you left the IWA in 2003, you took a job on the TNA creative team. Your booking philosophy was at odds with TNA’s during Vince Russo’s early years with the company and after he officially returned in September 2006, I know you believe wrestling should be realistic, and feature clearly-defined characters and logical storylines which build to a conclusion. And, yet, you worked alongside Russo from September 2006 to summer 2009, a period in which TNA’s output typically consisted of the reverse: puerile characters and nonsensical storylines in a package which was often congested viewers found it impossible to digest what they had just seen.

I like Dixie Carter, but you can’t have too much [on iMPACT!]. They are so afraid somebody’s going to change the channel and go somewhere else.

I think TNA’s roster is much better than WWE’s. But when you’ve got someone like AJ Styles, you’ve got to let him wrestle. You’ve also got to get your characters over. TNA to me is trying to do the same things that WWE is doing. They’re trying to be a copy — and not a good one — instead of being the alternative. [TNA] has come under criticism … but the company can do what they want to do. Then again, I spent six years there watching them do things differently to how I would do them.

When Russo proposed ideas which you thought were ridiculous during creative meetings, would you object to them?

Everything in TNA was done by committee, by vote. I’ll say this about Vince: he has some pretty decent ideas at the start, but what he’s lacking — and Bret Hart, “Stone Cold” and even Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have said this as well — is the execution of the ideas. You’ve got to take a good idea all the way through to the end of the process. And when the ideas failed, as most of them did, well … Look [TNA] was a committee. If the committee decided that was the way to they wanted to go, then I would say, “Okay, let’s do it.

If people in power realize that the “execution of the ideas” in which Russo is “lacking”, why doesn’t somebody force him to rectify this and do his job properly?

Well, I don’t know.

Russo can’t see how flawed his approach is. If he could, he would have corrected it years ago. I think the burning question is, why is the man still employed by TNA?

I do think his major attribute is being able to stay employed. I don’t know how he does it to tell you the truth. When I was there, we got a 1.3 rating. Since I left in July 2009 (note: interview was conducted in January), they haven’t gone above a 1.3. We’re 18 months later, and TNA has got Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, and the ratings haven’t even gone up. Look, I wish them all the best in the world, I really do. I like Jeff Jarrett and Dixie — but if you expressed an opinion in TNA, sometimes [the booking team] would look at you like you’d just spit on the Pope. I spoke a language they didn’t speak. I spoke wrestling. They don’t speak that.

Daffney Confirms TNA Departure, Files Workers’ Comp Claim

Daffney issued a statement today on her Twitter account concerning her status with TNA Wrestling and she confirms that she has parted ways with the organization. Her contract expires today and company officials opted not to renew it. The “Scream Queen” claims she is unsure if her contract not being renewed is tied to her filing a workers’ compensation claim against the organization due to injuries she sustained working for them.

“Yesterday my picture was taken down off of the TNA roster page. My contract expires today and TNA did not renew it,” she wrote. “I do not know if it has anything to do with it, but I’ve made a Worker’s Comp claim against them due to injuries I’ve sustained in the ring and my lawyers said to not go into anymore details.”

At the April 20, 2010 iMPACT! taping, Daffney was injured during a dark match against a novice performer, Miss Betsy (a/k/a Rosie Lottalove). She was taken to a hospital, where she was diagnosed with a deeply bruised sternum, a severe stinger and a concussion. Daffney made her return to TNA at the June 14 Xplosion taping, but would not resurface again until the December 9 episode of iMPACT!. This marked her final appearance for TNA.

Knockout Added Back To TNA Roster, Dinero Returns Home

— It was speculated that Miss Tessmacher has parted ways with TNA Wrestling considering her pictures were removed from their website on Monday. However, they were added back today, as well as a profile to the roster page.

Daffney and Kiyoshi, however, were not added back to the site.

Jacksonville.com has an article on “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero, who returns to the city where he used to work as a corrections officer at this Friday’s TNA Wrestling live event in Jacksonville, Florida.

“Talk about coming home. One of my childhood houses … is literally under the Veterans Memorial Arena parking. You could stand in the back of the coliseum where you pull in the back and that is my house or it was,” Dinero reminisces. “We are standing on sacred ground when you stand there. So much happened there.”

Two More Wrestlers Removed From TNA Roster

In addition to Daffney, Miss Tessmacher and Kiyoshi were also removed from the TNA Wrestling.com website roster pages Monday. This would indicate that they have parted ways with the organization.

Kiyoshi has been sparingly used in recent months, having only competed in a single match as the mysterious character since being dismissed as the man under the Suicide costume in October. He joined the organization during the later half of 2008 and would notably form alliances with the tag team No Limit (Yujiro and Naito) as well as the World Elite faction.

Tessmacher was never listed on the company website’s roster page. However, she was featured on its Knockouts photo section, which were removed Monday. She debuted last March as Eric Bischoff’s assistant and would transition to a wrestler role by the end of the year. Her burgeoning wrestling career, however, came to an abrupt halt as she claimed to have suffered a broken jaw on Christmas Day. She has not appeared for TNA since the incident.

Daffney Gone From TNA, Red Running Wrestling School, Foley

— Daffney was removed from TNAWrestling.com’s roster page today, which would likely indicate that she has parted ways with the organization. Reportedly, she has been used sparingly in recent months because organization officials were waiting for her contract to expire.

— The Amazing Red and his cousin Joel Maximo are running the House Of Glory Wrestling School located in Ridgewood, New York.

— Mick Foley was spotted at a Boston University basketball game on Saturday.

— Former TNA personality Jonny Fairplay is scheduled to appear at Dragon Gate USA’s upcoming show in Burlington, North Carolina.

Matt Hardy Comments On Jeff’s Situation – “He’s Fine”

Following reports that TNA star Jeff Hardy has been sent home from TNA due to his “condition” backstage at Sunday’s Victory Road pay-per-view, Jeff’s brother Matt has issued his first public comments regarding the situation.

Matt tweeted on Monday afternoon:

“Well, today has been quite the interesting day to say the least. And yes, Jeff is fine. I’m (definitely) fine. Just sore from busting my ass last night.”

As previously reported, Jeff Hardy tweeted on Sunday night that “Things are op,” which apparently means “things are okay.”

Val Venis Talks About Jeff Hardy’s Situation (Video)

Former WWE & TNA star Sean Morely (Val Venis) has posted a video clip where he shares his thoughts on Jeff Hardy’s latest incident .. Morley does not comment specifically on Jeff Hardy’s “health” – but clearly did not like the way Jeff Hardy no-sold Sting’s Scorpion Death Drop finisher at the pay-per-view.

Jeff Hardy’s TNA Future, Backstage Reaction To His Behavior

As reported earlier, TNA Wrestling officials made the decision to send Jeff Hardy home from this week’s iMPACT! television tapings. Reports from last night’s show were that Hardy was in no condition to perform and management decided to cut his match with Sting short.

Unlike the last time there was a question about Hardy’s condition (prior to the Final Resolution pay-per-view in December, company officials were going to strip Hardy of the World Heavyweight Championship due to his condition backstage at the event, but then changed their minds) no one within the company has attempted to defend him. Many company employees are very upset about the situation, especially with the decision to allow Hardy to go out in front of the audience considering he stumbled on the ramp and nearly tripped over the ring steps. Others were surprised that an audible wasn’t called to “make it up” to the audience.

While Hardy has been sent home from this week’s iMPACT! tapings, no further decision has been made regarding his future in the organization.

Hardy tweeted last night that “things are op.” His next court date in Moore County, North Carolina is scheduled for Wednesday.

Hogan Comments On Hardy, Hardy Advertised For Shows

— Hulk Hogan responded to a fan on Twitter who suggested that TNA Wrestling get rid of Jeff Hardy because he has a “problem that needs to be sorted out.”

“Brother, we’re trying to get everything straightened out,” Hogan replied. “I feel bad about some of the situations that have to be dealt with.”

— Following this week’s iMPACT! tapings in Orlando, Florida TNA Wrestling is back on tour on Friday in Jacksonville, Florida, and Saturday in Savannah, Georgia. Jeff Hardy is billed as the top star for the event. Other talent scheduled to appear include Jeff Jarrett, Matt Hardy, Mick Foley, AJ Styles and Scott Steiner, among others.

— Mickie James is scheduled to appear at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee in June, according to her official website, MickieJames.com.

Jeff Hardy Sent Home By TNA: Lots Of New Details

To follow up on our previous report that the main event of TNA Victory Road between Sting and Jeff Hardy was cut short due to Jeff Hardy being in “no condition to perform” – we can report that TNA management held a meeting on Monday morning and it was decided that Jeff Hardy should not appear at this week’s iMPACT! tapings. (Source: pwinsider.com)

Jeff Hardy was never booked to win the TNA championship at Victory Road, but Sting was supposed to retain the title after an actual match.

Late Sunday night, Jeff Hardy wrote on Twitter that “Things are op” .. He presumably meant “Things are okay,” but who knows at this point.

Regarding Jeff Hardy getting squashed in one minute at Victory Road, Joey Styles joked on Twitter, “Last night, I was watching a 15 year old match of Jeff Hardy as enhancement talent on wweclassics.com. That was wweclassics.com, wasn’t it?” He later followed up with, “No hateful replies to my Jeff Hardy tweet this morning. I guess I reconciled with all of you TNA fans and we agree on last night’s debacle.”

As of Monday afternoon, nobody in TNA has publicly commented on the incident.

Check back during the week for more on this developing story.

Reason For The Very Short Victory Road Main Event

At TNA Victory Road, the main event between Sting and Jeff Hardy for the TNA championship lasted a mere 1 minute and 28 seconds before Sting got the quick pinfall.

According to numerous sources in the TNA locker room, the main event was cut short because of major concern about Jeff Hardy’s “state of mind” backstage. Other speculation is that Sting wouldn’t agree to wrestling a long match with Hardy if he was in bad condition.

After the show event, fans in the Impact Zone chanted “Bulls***” while security walked Jeff Hardy to the back. Sting was visibly upset over the awkward finish to the main event.

Jeff Hardy is back in court next Monday 3/21 for his pending drug charges.

TNA Victory Road 2011 PPV Results: March 13, 2011

TNA Victory Results from Orlando, Florida

We open with a video package highlighting the return of Sting and his winning of the TNA Championship. There’s also some of the Dixie/Hogan stuff added in for extra flavor. The pyro hits and Mike Tenay welcomes us to the PPV. He and Taz immediately begin hyping the main event between Hardy and Sting, and Bully Ray’s music hits, signaling the first match of the night.

Bully Ray vs. Tommy Dreamer

Ray makes his way out to a bit of heat, and he calls So Cal Val into the ring, only to grab the mic from her and yell at her to get out. Ray says thank God for men like Bischoff and Hogan. Men who know how to take a wrestling company to the top. He says they see the potential in one of the greatest wrestlers, and surprise, it’s Ray. Ray calls out Dreamer, and he’s immediately answered with Dreamer’s music, as Tommy makes his way down to the ring to a bit of a pop.

Ray says he’s shocked that Dreamer came out, after all the years of him beating him up, and breaking his wife’s neck, Ray thinks Dreamer would have enough sense not to come out. Ray says he’s close to Hogan, and tonight’s match is now No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere. Ray asks what Tommy thinks and tries to hit him, but Dreamer counters and lays in a couple of rights of his own. Dreamer avoids a splash in the corner and hits a cross body to take Ray down, but when he picks him up, Ray hits a big clothesline. Ray goes for an elbow drop, but Dreamer avoids it and tosses Ray over the top rope to the outside.

Dreamer goes to the outside as well where he lays in with a couple of right hands before slamming Ray head first into the steel steps. Dreamer gets a fan to hold up his seat before slamming Ray head first into that too. Dreamer grabs a bottle of water and spits it in Ray’s eyes before grabbing a stuffed animal and slamming that into Ray’s head. Dreamer slams Ray into the barricade and he goes over and into the crowd. Dreamer follows and slams Ray’s head into the wall before they fight up the stairs a bit. Dreamer grabs a water bottle and slams it repeatedly into Ray’s head before walking Ray across an entire section and slamming his head into the hand rail. Dreamer fights with Ray down the stairs and leaps off with a big clothesline before getting the crowd going with a TNA chant.

Back in the ringside area Ray catches Dreamer with a right before crotching him on the guard rail. He beats on Dreamer for a bit, slamming his head into the ring steps before grabbing a kendo stick and threatening Val. Ray tries to slam a chair on Dreamer’s head while it’s on the steps, but Dreamer moves, tosses Ray into the ring, and tosses in a road sign, a trash can, and some kind of sawhorse. Dreamer grabs the kendo stick and goes to the middle rope, leaping off and cracking Ray over the head. Dreamer goes out and under the ring where he grabs an inflatable sex doll. Dreamer hits Ray with the trash can lid and Ray falls on the doll. Dreamer splashes Ray and the doll and gets a near fall. Dreamer goes up top again but he’s caught with a trash can lid shot from Ray. Ray connects with a big superplex before elbow dropping the doll.

Ray goes for the full nelson, but Dreamer counters out and hits a DDT which is good for two. Dreamer goes back out to the floor and under the ring to grab a table. He brings it back into the ring to big pops from the crowd. Dreamer props up the table on one leg and he tries for a pile driver, but Ray back body drops Dreamer instead. Ray picks up the trash can and absolutely hammers Dreamer with a shot to the head. Ray looks to go for a suplex on the table, but Dreamer fights out, only to get a big boot from Ray which is good for a near fall. Ray picks up the kendo stick and whacks Dreamer a couple of times before fully setting up the table in the middle of the ring, and whacking Dreamer again.

Ray grabs the mic and asks Dreamer how it feels while he continues to beat on Dreamer with the kendo stick. Ray says this is for D-Von. D-Von’s music hits and it’s his two sons, one of whom comes out with a neck brace. Ray is distracted while D-Von comes in from the crowd. Dreamer and D-Von hit a 3D on Ray through the table and Dreamer gets the three count.

Winner: Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer celebrated with D-Von and his sons while Ray lies in the wreckage of the table.

Christy Hemme is backstage with Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Winter. Winter says she’s always wanted everyone to be friends, and she doesn’t know what’s up with Velvet, but it’s on her, and Angelina is finally seeing that. Sky seems confused, but Love and Winter walk off. Sky asks what’s going on. The Knockouts Tag Team belts are up for grabs next.

TNA Knockouts Championship Match: Angelina Love and Winter vs. Sarita and Rosita

Rosita and Sarita come out first to a bit of a pop from the crowd, and Sarita asks for a mic. She says that tonight is a great night because her cousin and her are walking out of the ring as the Knockout Tag Team Champions. Sarita says she doesn’t know what her opponents have going on with Sky, but she knows they aren’t focused. Sarita starts cutting a promo in Spanish saying they are dominant women, and then tells the crowd to shut up (still in Spanish), she begins saying Viva Mexico and this gets pretty big heat from the crowd. Love and Winter are out next, and they don’t get much of a reaction at all.

It looks like Rosita and Love will be kicking things off for their respective teams. Both women lock up and Love puts on a side headlock. Rosita is able to fight out of it, but gets hit with a shoulder block, a big clothesline, and another shoulder block. Sarita tags in but she eats a big kick and a clothesline. Rosita is in and eats a drop toe hold before Love tags out to Winter. Winter hits a big backbreaker on Rosita but is only able to get a two count. Sarita tags in and is slamming right down to the mat before hitting a great bridging Northern Lights suplex but the pin is broken up by Rosita. Love is able to tag back in, but she’s brought down by her hair, allowing Sarita to tag out. Rosita and Sarita go for a double team move, but Angelina moves and Sarita slams Rosita into the mat instead. Winter tags in but she’s taken down by a kick to the back of the leg. Sarita tags in but messes up a dropkick and hits her partner. Winter locks in an arm bar and tags out to Love who continues to work on the arm.

Rosita catches Angelina with a cheap shot from the outside, but when she tags into the match, Love avoids a leg drop. Winter tags in and the two ladies hit a Samoan drop/big kick combo. Love argues with Hebner while Sarita goes to the outside to grab a title belt. Love and Sarita fight to the outside and the referee is distracted. Rosita teases hitting Winter but Sky runs in and stops it, allowing Winter to score a roll up. Sarita comes in, tips the roll over so that Rosita is on top, and Rosita gets the three count for new champions.

Winners and NEW Knockouts Tag Team Champions: Sarita and Rosita

We get a look at Jarrett/Karen and the Angle and Jarrett kids talking about riding the roller coasters at Universal Studios. Karen almost looks a bit annoyed as Jarrett is all about pleasing the kids.

Matt Morgan is backstage with Christy Hemme. Morgan says that Hernandez took away his one shining moment from his family, and from him. The chance to be TNA World Champion. He says Hernandez spent some time in Mexico and he was put on a pedestal and tonight Morgan will knock him right back down. Morgan says his sights are still on the World Championship and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop him because it’s on his mind 24/7.

First Blood Match: Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan

We get a video package, detailing the last few weeks and events that have led to this match. Hernandez is the first man to make his way out to the ring, to quite a bit of heat from the crowd.

Morgan’s music hits and he runs down to the ring where he immediately lays into Hernandez with a couple of right hands, some knees to the midsection, and choking him with his boot. Morgan is on first as he picks Hernandez up and chokes him in the corner before wearing him down with elbows, a headbutt, and a clothesline over the top rope. Morgan follows to the outside and he tries to slam Hernandez head first into the steps, but Hernandez stops him, and tries himself. Morgan stops Hernandez, and is finally able to toss him into the steps. The referee checks Super Mex for blood, but he’s fine so far. Hernandez hangs Morgan up on the top rope before hitting a big spear and going to the outside where he grabs a broom handle. Hernandez breaks the handle and uses it to choke Morgan before trying to shove the broken end into Morgan’s face. Morgan fights it off, but he ends up with his face being rubbed across the middle rope instead.

Hernandez catches Morgan with a back rake before jabbing his thumbs into Morgan’s eyes. Morgan is able to fight Hernandez off and hit a big side slam, but Hernandez comes right back with a giant shoulder block that knocks Morgan right back down. Hernandez hits Morgan with a big forarm to the back before he slams Morgan’s head into the turnbuckle, knocking off the pad. Hernandez takes Morgan down to the mat, and poses for the crowd to a bit of heat. Hernandez charges Morgan, but Morgan comes back with a discus clothesline. Morgan psychs himself up and takes Hernandez off his feet with right hands and clotheslines before charging and hitting a running splash in the corner, and a huge fall away slam.

Morgan grabs the jagged broom handle, and goes to attack Hernandez, but he’s caught with a boot to the gut to stop that. Hernandez goes to the top, but Morgan stops him with a body slam from the top rope. A fan jumps into the ring and he’s taken out by the referee, Morgan kicks him, and Hernandez takes a chain out of his pocket. Morgan grabs the chain, and wails on Hernandez, and Hernandez goes to the corner. When Morgan goes back, Hernandez squirts Morgan with what looks to be fake blood. A new ref comes down, and sees the coloring on Morgan, and calls for the bell.

Winner by ‘first blood’: Hernandez

Gen Me is backstage with Christy Hemme. She asks Jeremy a question, but he’s interrupted by Max, who says Jeremy came up with a cool idea, and no matter what happens, Max will win the title tonight. He says tonight, he’s got a birthday cake from Jeremy, and he’s going to put the title on the cake, and blow out the candle, and tonight it goes from Generation Me, to Generation Max. Jeremy doesn’t look to happy with that.

JB is backstage with Kaz. Kaz asks who was in the first ever Ultimate X match, and JB says Kaz. JB says Kaz has done, and is willing to do things that other people aren’t to win Ultimate X matches, and tonight he’s going to make his career by winning the match.

Ultimate X For The TNA X Division Championship: Kazarian vs. Jeremy Buck vs. Max Buck vs. Robbie E.

We get a video package highlighting the contenders in tonight’s match, and Taz and Tenay stall for just a bit longer while the structure is being set up.

Robbie E. is the first an out to the ring, and he gets one of the most apathetic reactions I think I’ve ever heard. He’s accompanied by Cookie who keeps telling him that he’s got this.

Generation Me are out next, both at the same time, but Max walks out in front of Jeremy and reiterates their Generation Max theme for the night. The Champion is the last man to make his way out to the ring, representing Fortune, and he gets a great reaction from the crowd.

The bell rings, and Cookie grabs Kaz’s leg. Gen Me team up on Robbie, and toss him out of the ring so they’re able to team up on Kaz. They hit their double team dropkick before Max launches Jeremy into the corner, where he’s met by Kaz’s boot. Kaz is able to leap over Gen Me and almost gets to the belt by hanging on the ropes, but he’s pulled down. Max accidentally catches Jeremy with a clothesline and that allows Kaz to fight back before Robbie comes in from behind and attacks Kaz, tossing him out of the ring. Max foes for the belt while Jeremy fights him, but Robbie is able to fight Jeremy off, and pull Max down, taking him out momentarily. Robbie goes to the ropes, and hangs on, but it’s not long before Kaz goes after him, kicks him down, and follows up with a dropping leg drop from the ropes.

Jeremy catches Kaz with a facebuster, and attempts to help his brother get to the title, but Robbie takes out Jeremy and Kaz takes out Max with a huge clothesline. Robbie and Kaz trade blows, with Robbie getting the better of Kaz in the corner, but when they go into the corner, Kaz catches him in reverse pile driver position. Kaz launches Robbie over the ropes where he lands on the ring steps. Kaz follows out on top of Robbie with a dive. Max takes out Kaz with a dropkick through the ropes before Max launches Jeremy up to the top rope where he hits a giant moonsault to the outside on top of Robbie and Kaz.

Kaz is able to make it back into the ring to fight it out with Max, but he’s taken out by a big dropkick. Jeremy holds off Kaz while Max climbs for the title. Kaz drags Max down, but Gen Me come up with their double team, back flipping dropkick. Jeremy also catches Robbie with a boot to the face to take him down. Max goes for the titles yet again, and Jeremy attempts to block Kaz at the same time. Kaz knocks Jeremy to the mat, then goes to the other side of the ring where he swings Max by his feet, and catches him with a ace crusher on the way down. Robbie snaps Kaz’s neck across the top rope, and he begins to make the climb toward the belt. Max grabs Robbie by his foot and brings him down, catching him with a big boot, and a huge flipping ace crusher in the corner.

Max charges Kaz, but he ends up being launches into the steel truss that holds up the structure in a pretty nasty spot. Jeremy attempts to superplex Kaz, and Robbie comes in with a powerbomb to complete a tower, and all three men come crashing down.

Kaz and Jeremy trade blows before Kaz turns back to Robbie. Robbie attempts to fight back, but Kaz comes up with the reverse pile driver out of nowhere. Jeremy connects with a huge spinning round kick to Kaz’s face, but when he goes for the title, Kaz retaliates with a kick to Jeremy’s face. Kaz takes Jeremy up to his feet on the top rope and hits a back to the future from the top rope, slamming Jeremy into the mat. Robbie and Kaz both get to their feet and go to opposite sides of the ring. Ge Me pull Robbie down and hit him with dual superkicks before swinging Kaz’s legs and slamming him down to the mat, right on his back.

Max sees Jeremy trying to go for the title, and he pulls him down. Jeremy teases not going for it, but then both men end up racing to the title, where they exchange blows while hanging from the rope. Robbie has a ladder and he uses is to slam Max in the stomach after he’s already knocked Jeremy off. Kaz is standing on the ropes above the ring, and Robbie uses the ladder to climb for the title. Both men get to the belt at the same time, but Kaz is able to snatch the title out of Robbie’s hands, before falling back down to the mat, winning the match.

Winner and STILL TNA X Division Champion: Kazarian

Jarrett and Karen are shown with the kids. Karen continues to look frustrated, and Jarrett continues to try and impress the kids. Karen asks Jarrett if he’s bought a bottle of champagne, but he’s got a pizza instead. Karen is upset and says the kids have eaten nothing but crap today. Jarrett says they’re going to go on one more ride. Karen says she’s glad the kids are enjoying the honeymoon before rolling her eyes.

Christy Hemme is backstage with Beer Money, who do their Beer Money taunt, and attempt to get Christy to do the same, in an attempt to check out her rear. Christy asks for respect. Roode says he’s got respect for a lot of the teams he’s faced in the past, but for some reason, Shannon Moore doesn’t seem to have any respect. Storm says tonight, at the end of the match, Moore is going to know exactly what respect is all about, and respect will not save Moore from the whooping he’ll get tonight, before he apologizes about Moore’s luck.

TNA Tag Team Championship Match: Beer Money (c) vs. Ink Inc.

We get a video package of Ink Inc.’s challenge to Beer Money for this Tag Team Championship match, and Beer Money’s acceptance.

Ink Inc. are the first team to make their way out to the ring, to a big pop from the crowd.

The Champions, Beer Money, are the next men to make their way to the ring, and they also get a pretty respectable reaction from the crowd. Just like Kaz earlier, they are announced as representing Fortune.

It looks like Neal and Storm will be starting things out for their teams tonight. Both men lock up and Storm comes up with a headlock. Neal fights it off but gets an immediate shoulder block. Both Neal and Storm block hip toss attempts before both connect with arm drags. Storm slaps Neal across the face, so Neal responds with the same. Storm hits a big neckbreaker for a near fall. Neal comes back with a cross body for a near fall of his own. Neal and Storm shake hands before both tag out. Roode and Moore come in and they proceed to lock up. Moore goes behind, but Roode does the same and slams Moore to the mat. Both men continue to chain wrestle and the crowd is split in their chanting.

Roode connects with the a shoulder block, but Moore comes right back with a dropkick which is good for a near fall. Roode comes up with a tilt a whirl backbreaker, but Moore is right up quickly, and able to tag out to Neal. Neal comes in too fast, and runs right into the corner before coming back into a powerslam from Roode. Roode tags out to Storm, but Moore comes in and drills him from behind before he goes back to the corner and tags in. Moore pounds on Storm and chokes him with his boot in the corner before bringing him to the center of the ring, hitting a quick leg drop, and locking in a rear chin lock. Storm fights out of it quickly, but Moore pulls him down by his hair.

Neal comes in with a big kick to Storm’s chest after tagging in. Neal connects with a big swinging neckbreaker before locking in a side headlock and tagging in Moore. Moore stomps away at Neal before tagging right back out. Moore chokes Storm again and Neal argues with Moore. Moore knocks Storm back down to the mat before tagging Moore right back in. Moore launches Storm across the ring into the turnbuckle, but when he launches himself into the corner, he crotches himself on the middle rope. Both men are able to tag out and Roode and Neal both come in swinging. Roode is able to get the upper hand with punches and a couple of fast clotheslines. Roode hits a big back drop and a sick chop to Neal’s chest, but he’s caught with a boot. Roode is able to respond with a big spinebuster that’s good for another near fall.

Storm makes the blind tag and Beer Money connect with a double team lungblower. Moore comes in and goes to work on both members of Beer Money, taking both men down to the mat. Moore connects with a hurricarana on Roode, and moonsault on Storm, and a huge DDT on Roode, but Roode is still able to kick out at two. Both Neal and Moore are up, and Neal gets Roode in Samoan drop position. Roode fights out of it, pushes Neal into Moore and catches Neal with a clothesline from behind. Roode attempts a back superplex, but Moore is able to fight he, and Storm off. Moore launches himself off the top rope onto Storm, but Roode responds by hitting a big urunage on Moore which is still only good for two. Roode continues to work on Moore, but he’s caught from behind by Neal. Storm catches Neal with a boot to the back of the head, and Beer Money execute a double suplex on Moore before doing their Beer Money taunt for the crowd and getting the pumped.

Beer Money go for their finisher but Neal comes up with a big spear, and Ink Inc double team both members of Beer Money. Moore teases using the Book of DILLIGAF, but Neal argues with him. Storm catches Neal with a superkick, and Beer Money connect with their finisher on Moore, pinning him and getting a three count.

Winner and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Beer Money

After the match, Neal tries to shake the Champs’ hands, but Moore swigs some of Storm’s beer and spits it in their faces. Neal and Moore argues all the way to the top of the ramp.

Matt Hardy is backstage with Ric Flair and Christy Hemme. Hardy’s new nickname is Cold Blood and Flair really likes that. Hardy says AJ Styles is naive, and he needs to keep that in mind tonight. Flair woos as Hardy walks off.

AJ Styles vs. Matt Hardy

AJ Styles is the first man to make his way out to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. He is, of course, representing Fortune. Matt Hardy is out next, with Ric Flair in tow, and he’s representing Immortal..

The bell rings and Styles talks a bit of trash to Flair before he and Hardy lock up. Hardy pushes Styles into the corner, but when he goes for a cheap shot, AJ is too fast, avoiding it and coming up with some big shots and chops of his own. Styles kicks Hardy in the gut and locks in a side headlock. Hardy is able to fight out of the hold, but he’s taken out by a shoulder block. Styles applies another headlock, but Hardy fights out of it. He and AJ continue to trade holds. Hardy is able to hit a shoulder block, but AJ responds with a huge dropkick and Hardy rolls to the outside. Styles teases a dive, but when Hardy rolls back into the ring, Styles stops himself and lands on the apron. Hardy tries to bring Styles into the ring the hard way, but Styles lands on his feet, and tosses Hardy back to the outside. He goes for a dive again, but Flair distracts him by holding his foot. This allows Hardy to connect with a couple of big clubbing blows, a body slam, and a big elbow drop.

Hardy charges AJ, and AJ catches Hardy with a low bridge so that Matt finds himself outside yet again. AJ comes to the outside with a big moonsault that takes Hardy out, but while he’s laying in to Hardy with big right hands, Hebner argues with him, and this allows Hardy to retaliate. Hardy is able to pick Styles up and slam him shoulder first into the ring post. Hardy breaks the ref’s count, and comes back to the outside to continues to beat on AJ. Hardy tries to launch AJ into the guard rail, but Styles slides right under it! Styles follows this up with a big jumping forearm, launching himself from the guardrail. Styles brings Hardy back into the ring where he tries for a German suplex, but Hardy fights it off. Styles tries to fight off an attempt from Hardy, so Hardy simply launches him backwards into the turnbuckles.

Hardy picks AJ up and tosses him to the outside. On the outside, Flair lays in to AJ with chops and punches while Hardy distracts the ref in the ring. Hebner comes to the outside to keep Flair away from Styles and he and Flair get into a shoving match. Hardy brings Styles into the ring, and hangs him up between the bottom and middle ropes, hitting a sick slingshot straight up into the middle rope. AJ attempts to fight back, but Hardy locks in a double underhook submission hold, wrapping his legs around Styles’ body. Styles takes a while to go down to his knees, but he eventually does. Styles tries to counter into a pin, but Hardy kicks out. Styles is forced to find his way to the ropes to force a break. Hardy chokes AJ with his boot before trying for the same hold. AJ backs Hardy up into the corner, but Hardy is able to hot shot AJ right into the turnbuckle.

Hardy chokes Styles in the ropes, and while he turns away and argues with the ref, Flair grabs Styles’ groin, and Styles screams. Hardy hits a couple of drop down elbows, and goes for a cover but he’s still only able to get a two count. Hardy locks in a cravat that brings AJ down to his knees, and eventually his side. Hardy continues to apply pressure, but AJ gets right back up to his feet and takes it to Hardy with big right hands, and chops. Hardy launches Styes in the ropes, both men go for clotheslines and both connect, but AJ comes up with a big jumping enzugiri and both men are down.

Both men get up to their knees, and eventually their feet, trading punches the whole time. AJ gets the advantage with a NASTY neckbreaker across AJ’s knee. Styles continues to focus on Hardy’s neck with a giant suplex that’s good for a two count. Styles goes up to the top rope, but Hardy avoids Styles. Hardy hits the side effect, and goes for the pin, but Styles kicks out at two. Hardy goes up to the middle rope and launches himself off with a big elbow to the back of Styles’ head. Hardy calls for the Twist of Hate, and he goes for it, but Styles counters into a backslide for a two count, before connecting with a big discus clothesline.

Styles attempts the Styles clash, but Hardy counters with the Alabama Slam. Hardy goes for the pin but he only gets a two count. Styles picks himself back up and catches Hardy with a back elbow, and a moonsault DDT from the corner. Styles goes for the pin, but a distraction from Flair allows Hardy to kick out. Flair gets up to the apron where he pokes AJ in the eye. AJ fights Hardy off before hitting a Pele kick to Flair’s head. Hardy connects with a giant DDT and a moonsault from the top rope, but Styles is still able to kick out of a pin attempt. Hardy tries for the twist of hate again but Styles fights it off. Hardy goes up to the top and Styles catches him with a Pele kick as well. Styles climbs to the top rope and hits the spinal tap off the top rope. Styles goes for the pin and gets the three count.

Winner: AJ Styles

After the match Styles runs over and catches Flair with a little bit of revenge for the groin attack earlier.

Jarrett and Karen are shown with Karen screaming at Jeff. Karen says this isn’t a honeymoon, it’s a family vacation, and Jarrett should know what’s missing. Jarrett says he knows what’s missing, and it’s Kurt. Karen is blown away and not pleased. Jarrett says this Thursday he’s going to call a truce. Karen asks where the kids are, and Jarrett says having fun. They come in from somewhere, and the whole family ends up getting doused in water, which causes Karen to scream in anger while Jarrett hugs her and spins her around.

Christy Hemme is backstage with Mr. Anderson who says it looks like everyone is getting screwed, including the President of TNA, Dixie Carter. Anderson tells RVD to stop taking things so personally because this is business, and his business is to win the TNA Championship. Anderson says he’s not that bad of a guy, but he’s not that nice either. He says he’s an a-hole, but he says at least he’s not a douchebag, because douchbags finish last, but a-holes always finish first.

We get a video package showing a little bit of the tension that has developed between these two men concerning this match for the #1 Contendership to the TNA Championship.

Mr. Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam

Rob Van Dam is the first man to make his way out to the ring to a lot of love from the crowd.

Anderson is out next, and of course he stops at the top of the ramp to cut a little promo. The microphone drops right on cue. Anderson lets the crowd chant a-hole for a bit and Anderson says that he will go through RVD tonight to become the next #1 Contender to the TNA Championship. He hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and he’s Mr. Anderson.

The bell rings and Anderson and RVD talk a bit of trash to each other to begin. RVD and Anderson trade blows in the middle of the ring, going hold for hold, a hit for hit. We get a bit of chain wrestling for both men, and an inventive roll up from RVD that’s countered by a roll up from Anderson and both men pause. Anderson teases doing RVD’s taunt, but doesn’t follow through yet. Anderson and RVD lock up, and Anderson is able to secure a side headlock. Both men trade holds for a little while longer before trading a couple more pinfall attempts. Anderson comes up with another headlock, and he takes Van Dam down with a shoulderblock. Van Dam lands on Anderson attempting a leap frog, and Anderson responds by slamming Van Dam in to the middle rope and choking him with his boot.

Anderson sends RVD into the corner hard and follows right in with a running clothesline. Anderson takes RVD over to another corner and slams him headfirst into the turnbuckle. When Anderson tries to send RVD across the ring again, Van Dam reverses it, hits him with a couple of shoulders to the gut, before hitting a springboard single leg dropkick and rolling thunder. Anderson rolls to the outside, but Van Dam catches him with a baseball slide, and a cross body over the top and to the outside. Van Dam picks up Anderson and suplexes him into the guard rail, but when Van Dam goes to the ring apron and tries to go for the spinning leg drop, Anderson moves and RVD’s knee connects with the guard rail.

Anderson sends RVD back into the ring, where he repeatedly wraps Van Dam’s leg around the steel ring post. Anderson makes his way back into the ring, where he stomps away at RVD’s head. Anderson continues the attack on the knee, stomping away at the back of RVD’s leg before dropping his own knee down on top of RVD’s repeatedly. Anderson locks in a single leg Boston crab.

RVD makes it to the ropes, forcing Anderson to break the hold, and he pounds on RVD with repeated right hands in the corner. Anderson picks RVD up to his feet and he wraps Van Dam’s leg around the middle rope, and attacks with a running drop kick. Van Dam limps across the ring, and Anderson attacks with a quick chop block. Anderson pushes Van Dam back into the corner, but Van Dam is able to come up with a couple of big kicks, a clothesline, and a huge kick right to Anderson’s face. Anderson tries for the mic check, but Van Dam holds on to the ropes to block it. Van Dam goes for the rolling thunder, but Anderson avoids it and fights RVD off, hitting a back suplex.

Anderson hits RVD with a couple of big forearms and a spinning neckbreaker, but he still can’t keep RVD down. Anderson hits the standing Green Bay Plunge, landing on top of his own head, but he goes for the cover, only getting a two count. Anderson goes for the mic check, but RVD fights him off, and both men connect with clotheslines, both crashing down to the mat.

Both men get to their feet where they go blow for blow. Van Dam sends Anderson into the corner and buries his shoulder in Anderson’s midsection over and over, but Anderson side steps a charging RVD and RVD ends up going shoulder first into the ring apron, when he gets to his feet, both men crack heads. Both men get back to their feet and RVD launches himself into Anderson with a big cross body that sends both men over the top rope to the outside. Van Dam breaks the count, and both men trade blows on the outside, fighting up to the ramp where Anderson is able to connect with the mic check.

The referee is counting, and both men are crawling back to the ring, but neither man is able to make it back into the ring before 10.

Double Count Out

The fans are chanting for the match to be restarted, and for some reason some are chanting no. Anderson and RVD talk to each other, and both look to be ok with 5 more minutes, but I don’t know if the ref will give it to them.

Taz and Tenay say apparently we will have an answer on Thursday’s Impact. They turn their attention to the main even between Sting, the newly crowned Champion, and the challenger Jeff Hardy.

We get a canned promo from Jeff Hardy. He talks about Sting wearing sunglasses because he’s scared. Hardy says that tonight he’ll beat Sting and take back the title.

We also get a video package showing some highlights from Sting’s career in TNA, and why Hogan and Bischoff’s reign in TNA is something that Sting wants to end.

TNA World Champion Sting vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy’s music hits, but Hardy is very slow to make his way out for some reason. He gets a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd, but it actually seems a lot more positive than negative.

Sting’s music hits and he gets a giant pop before he even makes his way out. It gets louder though, as the Champion makes his way down to the ring, wooing, and showing off his title the whole way down.

JB does formal ring introductions, since this is the main event, and we’re finally ready to kick things off.

But not so fast! Just as Sting is announced, his pop is interrupted by Bischoff, who comes down to the ring with microphone in hand and we have a slight change of plans. Apparently there was a situation where the network got into Bischoff’s business, and because Hardy was taken advantage of so blatantly, Bischoff is going to be fair. Bischoff asks Sting to shake his hand, but Sting won’t do it. Bischoff says Sting can have it his way. In order to level the playing field, and Hardy wasn’t able to prepare for Sting, they changed the rules and let Hardy know, but didn’t inform Sting to be fair. This is a No DQ match. Sting pops Bischoff and stomps his knee, sending him to the outside.

The bell rings and Sting stares down Hardy. Hardy seems more concerned about where to throw his t-shirt than going up against Sting. Sting backs him up into the corner and Hardy goes into the ropes. Hardy teases throwing his shirt into the crowd, but drops it to the mat instead. We finally get a lock up and Sting lays into Hardy with a couple of big right hands before hitting the Scorpion Death drop. Sting pins Hardy, and pins him, and this one is over.

Winner and STILL TNA World Champion: Sting

Sting looks really upset, and not at all happy about this. Hardy argues a bit with the ref, but this one appears to really be over. Sting holds up the title and celebrated, but Sting really doesn’t look happy with this. The fans aren’t happy, and Sting says that he agrees, leading us to believe this may not be how things were planned.

Honky Tonk Man Says Hulk Hogan Is On His Way Out Of TNA

After saying that a behind the scenes player in TNA Wrestling was defecting for World Wrestling Entertainment, which was later confirmed as Jimmy Hart, The Honky Tonk Man is claiming that Hulk Hogan is on his way out of the organization. He wrote the following on his Facebook account:

“HTM has been told Hogan will bolt to WWE if asked. Sources within TNA have said Hogan will leave (Eric Bischoff) behind like a rat. Hogan is on his way out of TNA. Dixie has had to advance Flair money to pay his debts. Strange things are happening at TNA! Hogan’s TNA contract is results and incentive based. Either party can walk anytime. HTM said it first Hogan is on the way out.”

Regarding Jimmy Hart, he is not expected to be in Jerry Lawler’s corner for his match against Michael Cole at WrestleMania XXVII. Hogan backed off his prior claim, saying on Twitter that it was “just a guess” and that he hadn’t talked to Hart in over a month.

Kurt Angle Talks Retiring After TNA, Jeff & Karen, Movies

Monday Night Mayhem with Kurt Angle
Hosts: The Big Mosh and “The Chairman of the Board” Todd Vincent
Report by Paterson from N.J.
Airs every Monday at 6:00 P.M. (CT)
Show available at MondayNightMayhem.com.

The experience of filming “River of Darkness” and how he is trying to mirror what Sylvester Stallone has done in the movie industry: “The movie (‘River of Darkness’), a lot of people will look at it, watch it, and think ‘Wow they put a lot of money into that movie.’ In reality, we only put $30,000 into this movie. North Shore Pictures is growing. What I wanted to do is 15-20 Hollywood films and do my own films. Right now, I’ve done three films in Hollywood, but I also wanted to do is what Sylvester Stallone has done in the movie industry, which is take on his own films, his production company, and come up with great films people would like to watch.”

* Pictures of KURT ANGLE’s 24-Year-Old Fiance, GIOVANNA YANOITTI

What fears he had about heading into his current feud with Jeff Jarrett and his ex-wife Karen (especially with his children being seen on national television), if he has been comfortable in everything to this point, and why he credits Hulk Hogan for helping him through this point in his TNA career: “I never wanted to get the kids involved. I know that we have a little bit, but the kids are not allowed to watch the program. We’re going to continue to have them involved. I”m not all for it. There have been a few things I have been uncomfortable with in the storyline and the writing, but I’ve been a trooper, and I’m trying to be a team player. The one person who has really helped me out is Hulk Hogan. He’s really protecting me and making sure nothing gets out of hand. I have to give him a lot of credit, because he’s the one guy I really trust. Dixie Carter is a great woman, and I trust her too, but Hulk Hogan has been the guy. He’s kind of my buffer. I have a lot of respect for him.”

His reaction to those that feel it’s a foregone conclusion that he will return to the WWE when his TNA contract expires this August, the importance of him transitioning into wrestling part-time, and why that could be the determining factor if he stays with TNA or leaves for the WWE: “I love TNA. I love the way they treat me, I love the way they take care of me. My contract is up in August, and a lot of people think ‘Hey, Kurt Angle is going over to the WWE.’ I can’t really tell you where I’m going, but I do want to say that I am very happy in TNA. We just have to work out our new contract, and God willing, we do it the right way, and I won’t have to worry about coming back to the WWE, but I don’t want to count that out. I love WWE, but I love TNA even more.

“Hopefully, God willing, Dixie Carter and I can come to an agreement, and I can start wrestling on a part-time basis. I’m forty-two years old right now. Some days I feel like I’m sixty-two. It really comes down to how they use me. my job in the company is to have the best match on the card every Pay-Per-View. In order to do that, I have to be well-rested. I like to do house shows, I love to do TV’s, but I do have to make sure that I am ready for the Pay-Per-Views, because that’s the most important thing. Dixie Carter has been very good about making sure that I will be ready. I do want to sign a deal with TNA with Dixie Carter for the next three years, and I do want to retire in TNA, but I can’t guarantee that I will do that.”

AJ Styles Talks Fortune-Immortal, Ric Flair & More

TNA star AJ Styles was recently interviewed by Alex Marvez of Scripps News. Here are some highlights of what AJ said about:

Fortune Breaking Off From Immortal: “I knew we eventually would have to go there anyway. Fans wanted to see Fortune turn on Immortal. They never wanted to see Fortune be a part of Immortal in the first place. When we teased going against them, it created a big rumble. I think it’s a blessing in disguise that those guys took jobs with WWE. We’re moving forward here with something I hoped that would be done.”

Working With Ric Flair Last Year: “It didn’t fit my personality at all. Ric casts a big shadow. I think I’ve learned more about how to get out of that shadow when I was up against him rather than with him. When you’re with Ric, he’s going to get your attention. I definitely learned some stuff like the way to cut an (interview) and stuff like that. I respect him. Even though he’s 62, he’s still one of the most entertaining guys in pro wrestling.”

Whether “The Torch” Has Been Passed To Him: “I don’t know. The whole thing with Sting and I, the torch was supposedly passed, but here he is back again (as TNA world champion). I don’t know if there is a torch to be passed anymore because so many people change their mind about whether they’re staying or going or retiring. The biggest thing is, I want to be part of something that everybody knows about whether it’s Fortune or TNA, something that’s as big as WWE. I’m not saying I want to go to WWE or anything like that. I want TNA to explode.”
