Alberto El Patron On His GFW Suspension, Paige WWE Return Update

Alberto El Patron and Paige appeared on Busted Open radio this afternoon with Bubba Ray Dudley and David LaGreca. During the interview, El Patron stated that he will be returning to Global Force Wrestling soon. El Patron is currently suspended from the company as they conduct their own investigation into the incident last month at the Orlando airport.

GFW has live events this weekend and El Patron noted that he will not be appearing at those events. Patron stated that they have a date when his suspension will probably be lifted. GFW’s next television taping are set for August 17-20th in Orlando.

Paige also discussed her career and if she will be making a return to WWE. Paige claimed that she will be making her return to WWE soon. She went on to say that she is waiting to hear back from her doctor after undergoing a CT scan during a checkup.

Paige has not been in WWE since June of last year. She underwent neck surgery last October and was hoping to make her return to WWE this June but obviously didn’t happen. Paige stated that she was ready to get back to WWE and see Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax. Paige noted that she was very happy to see Naomi become SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Braun Strowman Reportedly Said “F*** Your Son” To Karen Jarrett, GFW Interested In Released WWE Star

Braun Strowman reportedly said “f*** your son” to Karen Jarrett

Karen Jarrett was a part of a media conference call earlier this week and said that the incident between her and Braun Strowman at a Nashville bar wasn’t a big deal.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, obtained another eye witness account who stated that Karen Jarrett approached Strowman and asked for an autograph for her son. Strowman replied with “f*** your son”. Strowman then begged Jarrett to not tell Kurt Angle once he realized who she was.

Here is what Karen Jarrett said about the incident during a conference call with the media this week:

“Oh my goodness, I can clear the air. It was a silly incident where you have two people in the wrestling business playing their characters, being silly and it got blown way out of proportion. And the fact that the two of us are still in the news and it’s still being talked about, that’s a question that you took the time to ask I think is hysterical, to be honest with you. It’s silliness. It’s the wrestling business, we had fun with it and somebody took it and turned it into something more than it was.”

Dutch Mantell interested in bringing Jack Swagger to Global Force Wrestling

During a recent media conference call, Dutch Mantell was asked if Global Force Wrestling was interested in signing for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Swagger was released by WWE in March of this year and has been working on the independent circuit. Here Mantell’s response when asked about Jack Swagger:

“I talk to Jack every couple of weeks. Since he left WWE, he has expressed some interest and we have some interest in him, He was on the road for 10 years, and I think right now he is enjoying his time off. But, I am interested in bringing him in. I think you could possibly see him in GFW soon.”

Reby Hardy On If The Hardys Are Willing To Face GFW In Court, If She Believes An Agreement Will Be Made

Reby Hardy recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about the dispute between The Hardys and Anthem Sports & Entertainment over who owns the “Broken” intellectual property.

Are The Hardys willing to go to court over this? Are you optimistic of a judge or jury ruling in your favor?

“Going to the court is not like going to the grocery store. There is a lot of money involved in a legal case, which is another reason why Anthem is dragging this out as long as they can. Jeff Jarrett said, “Just keep dragging it out, they’ll get tired of spending money.” We would rather settle this like civil human beings, which is what we have tried to do for months and months.

There are so many things that, if we choose to go to court, we can also add into the case. Senor Benjamin, who is my father, never signed a release to have his image be marketed. Technically, they should not have been able to air his footage. They do not have a release for my son, Maxel, who had no written documents saying he could be on set at Universal Studios, which could jeopardize their relationship with the place where they film on a monthly basis. There is also the fact that I created—shot, directed, and edited—so much footage that I never gave them a release to use, either.”

Anthem also denies that it ever asked for a significant percent of Hardy merchandise, including Jeff Hardy’s art work and music, as well as stated that the contracts offered to Matt and Jeff were almost close to equal in terms of pay. Is the company being truthful, and where do we go from here?

“We literally have those documents in email form from Ed Nordholm.

In one of the contracts, Anthem snuck in a percentage the company would be owed from any income from ShopMattHardy.com and JeffHardyBrand.com. The fact that they would feel entitled to that is a joke. Jeff Hardy’s site is literally his paintings and music; it has nothing to do with wrestling and is an artistic venture. Why are they entitled to any of that? To slide that into the contract was a real shady move, and we have the documents to prove it.

Jeff Jarrett’s plan was to give Jeff Hardy all the money, and he actually said to pay Matt as little as possible because he believed Matt could not go anywhere without Jeff Hardy. I had reservations about WWE for a long time, but I forgot all of my reservations and our loyalty to the TNA brand after I learned that.

F— these guys, to put it bluntly. After Matt financed his own shoots and put hours and hours of his own time writing the shows? F— these guys. We didn’t have any scripts. They’re claiming IP, they’re claiming this is their character and development, but we never had one script or one shoot sheet. That was all Matt pouring himself into the character and dedicating himself to it.

The amount of time and effort he put into this made it his brainchild, which is why this is more of a personal matter than business. It was all our creation, and we can easily prove that it was all us, and it’s nothing but ego on their end. Matt refused to re-sign, they really believed that he could not go anywhere else, and we called them out on their bluff. Ed Nordholm actually told Jeff Hardy’s attorney, “Tell them to go to WWE.” Is that the way you negotiate? To try to get someone to sign a s— contract to work at your s— company for s— money? When it comes down to it, this comes down to their ego versus all of the time, effort, and passion we have put into this project and gimmick.

This is a personal investment vs. ego. I feel like there will never be an agreement without going to court.”

Knockout Removed From Global Force Wrestling Roster

It would appear that Brandi Rhodes is gone from Global Force Wrestling.

The promotion recently updated its roster section on ImpactWrestling.com and she is no longer listed as an active Knockout. She is also not listed in the Alumni section since her profile was deleted altogether.

Rhodes has not addressed her status with Global Force Wrestling.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbICoDa-eOs&w=620&h=349]

Rhodes, who joined the promotion last September, was last seen on Impact Wrestling in April, competing in a Knockouts #1 Contender Gauntlet Battle Royal.

Rhodes is now wrestling for Ring of Honor’s Women of Honor Division. She made her ROH debut last Saturday at a television taping in Concord, North Carolina, where she teamed up with Sumie Sakai against Mandy Leon and Jenny Rose.

It was a memorable night for Rhodes since her husband, ROH World Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody, also wrestled on the show. She also paid tribute to the late Dusty Rhodes by wearing polka dots.

GFW Files Four “Broken Universe” Related Trademarks, All Four Rejected

According to PWinsider, Global Force Wrestling filed for four “Broken Universe” related trademarks and all four of them have been given an initial refusal by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Matt Hardy originally filed the trademark for “Broken Matt Hardy”. Global Force Wrestling tried to trademark “Broken Matt”. In order for GFW to get that trademark, they would have to get Matt Hardy to sign off on it.

GFW also tried to trademark “Brother Nero” but that was refused because GFW didn’t indicate whether or not it was used to identify a living person. If GFW acknowledged that, they would also have to get Jeff Hardy to sign off on it because Nero is his legal middle name.

GFW also attempted to trademark “Broken Brilliance” but that was refused because Global Force Wrestling did not specify whether the term had any significance in professional wrestling or if it was a term of art in the wrestling business. GFW was also unsuccessful in their attempt to trademark “Vanguard1”, as it was said to be in conflict with a non-wrestling trademark.

All four trademarks received initial refusal because the wording used for identification and classification of goods and services in the initial filing were deemed to be too broad. The United States Patent and Trademark Office requested additional clarification.

WWE Bringing Back Taboo Tuesday?, Total Divas Respond To Paige, Matt Hardy Takes Shot At GFW

WWE bringing back Taboo Tuesday?

WWE registered for “Taboo Tuesday” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 24th. The last Taboo Tuesday event was held 12 years ago and then it was changed into Cyber Sunday, which came to an end in 2008. Time will tell if the old PPV concept shows up on new editions of SmackDown going forward. Cyber Sunday was a PPV which allowed fans to vote on match stipulations, opponents and more.

Total Divas respond to Paige

Paige commented on the upcoming season of “Total Divas” recently and stated that she missed everyone in the cast.

The Bella Twins, Lana and Naomi all responded to Paige with the following tweets:

Matt Hardy takes shot at GFW’s payment issues

As noted earlier, Mike Kanellis responded to fan that said that he was a joke in GFW and is still a joke in WWE. Kanellis responded to the fan “Except I get paid now” and followed it up with several emojis.  The fan has since deleted the tweet, but Matt Hardy chimed in with a shot of his own shot at GFW.

Elias Samson Name Change, GFW Cancels Upcoming Impact Live Event, Mike Kanellis Takes Shot At GFW

GFW cancels upcoming live event

Global Force Wrestling has canceled their upcoming live event scheduled for Saturday, August 6th in Bridgeport, CT. GFW stated that the event has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges”. The following update was posted on the GFW website:

Bridgeport, Conn. Live Event Update:

Global Force Wrestling regretfully announces that the Impact Live Event at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, August 6, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges. All fans who purchased tickets for the Bridgeport event will be fully refunded. GFW also will offer all who purchased tickets to the Bridgeport show complimentary tickets to either of the other area Live Event shows that will be held that weekend: Friday, August 4, on Long Island, N.Y., at The Sports Arena in St. James (starting at 8 p.m.), and Saturday, August 5, at Staten Island’s Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George (starting at 6 p.m.). Elias Samson loses his last name

Elias Samson’s WWE profile has been updated and his last name has been dropped. “Samson” has also been completely removed from his bio as you can see below.

Screen Shot 2017 07 28 at 6.22.01 AM

Aside from his trusty six-string, Elias doesn’t seem like the type of guy that cares about earthly possessions, or even about having a place to call home.

The brawling balladeer debuted in NXT in late 2015 after a series of musical vignettes foretold of his arrival to town. With bruising antics and strength to spare, Elias made an immediate mark inside the yellow ropes, despite the vocal disapproval of the NXT Universe. It was time for the strummer to roam elsewhere, however, after he came up short in a Loser Leaves NXT Match against Kassius Ohno in March 2017.

Following his dismissal from NXT, Elias sauntered onto Raw, strolling through the locker room one week and onstage the next, always strumming his faithful guitar.

Elias’ insulting songsmithing proves that he’s not interested in mass appeal, but when he begins to croon in the middle of the ring, the WWE Universe has no choice but to “walk with Elias.”

Another Talent Announces His Departure From Global Force Wrestling

Yet another star has announced their departure from Global Force Wrestling (GFW). Matt Morgan took to the Wrestling Inc. podcast to announce that he officially announced his release from the company due to scheduling issues. He previously worked for GFW (formerly known as TNA and Impact Wrestling) back in 2007 and remained there for six years, and returned yet again in 2015.

Morgan said he couldn’t let anything get in the way of his 9-5 job and had only returned to GFW to give back to the company that had been so good to him in the years prior:

“Here’s the deal,” said Morgan. “I made an agreement to wrestle with them on weekends, right? Where I didn’t have to leave my 9-5 job, anything like that. And unfortunately it just didn’t work out because they switched it and they started taping on week days and they’re looking to travel.”

“So when I first talking to Jeff [Jarrett] about this, the idea was you know, you guys are 20 minutes from my house, you guys are there on the weekends. As long as you guys are there on the weekends I can do this.”

Morgan now joins Nick “Magnus” Aldis and Davey Richards as fellow GFW stars who have announced their departure from the company.

Former Impact Tag Team Champ Leaves GFW, Will Leave Pro Wrestling

It appears as though five-time Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champion Davey Richards has announced that he has parted ways with Global Force Wrestling (GFW). Richards took to Twitter to release a statement explaining his decision, and revealed that he will be walking away from professional wrestling to finish up medical school and pursue his dream of becoming a doctor:

“Truth is- I love wrestling,” Richards stated. “But my goal is to be a Doctor. I have managed my time in doing both my school, my job as a Paramedic, being a dad, and a wrestler as best I could for as long as I could. But the demands as I head into the last couple years of Medical School have brought me to a point where I have to choose one or another. So with GFW’s blessing I have chosen medical school.”

https://twitter.com/RichardsWesley/status/889573195212349441

Richards has spoken about leaving professional wrestling before, as the idea crossed his mind back in 2010, however, he later had a change of heart. He is currently married to GFW star Angelina Love.

Alberto El Patron No Longer A Suspect In Airport Incident, Sasha Banks & Bayley Hype RAW Match

Alberto El Patron no longer a suspect in domestic violence incident

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Alberto El Patron is no longer under investigation by police over the airport incident earlier this month between he and Paige. A rep for the Orlando PD told Pro Wrestling Sheet that “due to the detective’s investigation determining that Paige is the one who should be charged for domestic violence, they no longer view El Patron as a suspect”. Alberto El Patron is the GFW Champion, but is indefinitely suspended by GFW as they investigate the incident. It is unknown at this time if GFW has lifted the suspension since El Patron is no longer viewed as a suspect.

Sasha Banks & Bayley on their match on next week’s RAW

IGN has released the following video of Sasha Banks and Bayley at the San Diego Comic Con. During the interview, the two Superstars began hyping their match on next week’s episode of the RAW. The winner of that match will become the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship. Sasha Banks claimed that she will be the one to win Monday’s match and Bayley reminded her that she usually defeats Banks whenever they face each other.

John Morrison To Debut For GFW, Former TNA Champion Leaving

Former TNA World Champion already done with Global Force Wrestling

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former TNA Champion Nick “Magnus” Aldis already finished with Global Force Wrestling. Magnus was offered a contract by GFW but ultimately decided not to sign back with the company. Magnus was only at the last set of Impact TV tapings under a handshake deal so GFW could  “protect the lineage of GFW title” and then give it to Alberto El Patron.

Magnus signed with TNA in 2008 and then was one of the first talents to sign with Global Force Wrestling in 2015 when the promotion was announced by Jeff Jarrett. The report added that many of the GFW talent deals require performers to give Global Force Wrestling 10% of the revenue they earn outside of GFW. The new deals also gives them none of the profits earned from selling merchandise bearing their likeness sold directly by Global Force Wrestling.

Former Intercontinental Champion to make GFW debut

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion John Hennigan (John Morrison, Johnny Mundo) is set to make his Global Force Wrestling debut at the upcoming Impact live events in the New York Tri-state area. The live events will take place on August 4th in Long Island, August 5th in Staten Island and August 6th in Bridgeport, CT. Jeremy Borash recently announced that Hennigan will be making his GFW debut during a conference call.

Alberto El Patron Stepping Down As President Of Combate Americas

Alberto El Patron will be stepping down as president of the Combate Americas MMA promotion. Combates Americas CEO Campbell McLaren made the following comments MMAUNO.com about Patron stepping down:

“Alberto is a really good friend of mine and his girlfriend Saraya who is ‘Paige’ I’m sure you know, they become very close friends of mine and when they are in New York they come out to dinner with my wife and I,” McLaren told MMAUNO.com. “They are good pals, but what Alberto is telling me, is that his first love is wrestling. You know, his father was ‘Dos Caras’ a very famous wrestler and Saraya’s family is third generation English wrestlers, you know about her right? And so what Alberto has said to me, and we haven’t unveiled this yet, but we can talk about it, he’s probably stepping back his official roles from Combate and he’s going to focus on more on wrestling for the next year or two.”

“I think he’s reaching a point in his career when he knows that the physical demands of wrestling are not what he wants to continue doing, but I think he knows he’s got a couple of years still left to keep maintaining his level of performance,” McLaren said. “It’s a very challenging enterprise and I think it’s very, very hard on the body and difficult to do. Very physical, very athletic, so I he’s kind of asked me if he can step away and with Saraya, focus on wrestling.”

“We will remain as friends and he will always be at Combate events,” McClaren said. “But in an official sense, he’s going to step down.”

Alberto El Patron is still serving an indefinite suspension from Global Force Wrestling, even though he is currently the World Heavyweight Champion. The suspension came as a result of an incident involving Patron and Paige at the Orlando International Airport earlier in July. The investigation of the incident is still ongoing and GFW is currently doing an investigation of their own while Patron is indefinitely suspended.

Alberto El Patron Stripped Of WAW World Championship Owned By Paige’s Family

Alberto El Patron has been stripped of the Undisputed World Heavyweight Title In the WAW promotion, owned by Paige’s family. This is the top championship belt in the promotion, which is lead by Paige’s father Ricky Knight.

WAW issued the below statement on the World Title vacancy, which doesn’t mention the former champion Alberto by name.

“The WAW Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship has been declared vacant at last night’s Academy Show in Costessey, following a unanimous decision by the WAW Championship Committee. The WAWCC’s decision was announced by Zak Knight but no information was revealed regarding the crowning of a new champion. Since the announcement several individuals have announced their desire to compete for the title. Both European Heavyweight Champion Robin Lekime and British Heavyweight Champion Aaron Sharp have already revealed their desire to add more gold to their repertoire, as well as former World Heavyweight Champion Brad Slayer and former European Heavyweight Champion King Kendo. With four of WAW’s top competitors already eyeing up the most prestigious title will anyone else step forward in the hope of gaining public support?

A 32 man tournament has been announced to determine a new Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion over the course of the rest of 2017 with the final taking place at Epic Studios, Norwich in December. The entrants into this tournament will be deliberated by the WAWCC over the coming weeks before brackets are announced.”

The announcement comes about a week after an incident at the Orlando International Airport between Alberto and Paige made headlines all over the web. Paige’s brother Zak wrote on his Facebook that he’s worried about his sister and accused Alberto of domestic violence. Del Rio is also currently suspended indefinitely by Global Force Wrestling.

TMZ reported that there was some sort of domestic disturbance between the two at the airport. A witness claimed to Heavy.com that Paige yelled out loud that Alberto had been doing cocaine for “two days straight,” and Alberto allegedly replied that she was the one with the drugs in her bag.

Paige & Alberto El Patron Attend Soccer Game Together (Video), Talking Smack Petition

Alberto El Patron and Paige attend soccer game together

A PWInsider reader sent them a video of Paige and GFW Champion Alberto El Patron attending a soccer game today in San Antonio, Texas. This is the couple’s first appearance in public since their incident at an airport in Orlando on July 9th. Patron is still under investigation for the incident and remains suspended from GFW.

Max Landis creates petition to bring “Talking Smack” back to the WWE Network as a weekly show

Filmmaker Max Landis, writer and director of “Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling”, created a petition to bring “Talking Smack” back to the WWE Network on a weekly basis. As of now, the petition has 12,126 signatures with a 15,000 signature goal. Below is Landis’ statement on the petition and you can sign it by clicking here.

“Talking Smack,” the Smackdown Post show, was announced as cancelled today.  This is a huge loss for the WWE.

“Talking Smack” was an innovative, engaging, compelling and reliably hilariously funny closer look at the characters and world of the WWE.  It drove deeper interest in characters who often didn’t get time to speak on television, and was home to some of the best segments in recent history.

The informal style, spearheaded by the grounded, friendly conversational performance of host Renee Young and bolstered by Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, who act like real people, shows a side of the wild storylines that makes even the most silly and ridiculous situation on Smackdown suddenly seem remarkably real, fun, and complex.

Shows like “Talking Smack,” that broaden the world of the WWE Universe and give a looser-structured but tighter-focused look at the Superstars within it, are integral to growing interest in story-lines and characters; they are not just frosting.  I know this, because due to Talking Smack, I am a fan with a more vested and profound appreciation for Erick Rowan, The Usos, Alexa Bliss, and even more prominent characters like AJ Styles.

WWE prides itself on hearing the voice of the WWE Universe, so let’s speak up.  Sign this petition, and let’s make it clear that WE, the WWE Universe, the $9.99ers and the crowds on Youtube who make WWE’s channel the second most watched content IN THE WORLD, want “Talking Smack” BACK.

Stand up and shout loud for an uncommon, and uncommonly smart show.

News On How Much The Hardys Were Going To Pay For ‘Broken’ Gimmick, GFW’s Demand That Prevented Deal

Sports Illustrated recently published an article on their Extra Mustard blog about the ongoing legal battle between Matt and Jeff Hardy versus Anthem Sports and Entertainment over the rights to the ‘Broken’ gimmick. The new report notes that this stems back to when Matt and Jeff were renegotiating their deals with Impact Wrestling before they departed from the company. Anthem reportedly offered Jeff a very lucrative multi-year deal, but low-balled Matt Hardy with their offer. The new report also states that Matt Hardy was also offered a role on the creative team at Impact Wrestling, but the offer was later rescinded by Jeff Jarrett.

It was also revealed in the new article published on Sports Illustrated that The Hardys and Anthem were close to agreeing on a deal for the ‘Broken’ gimmick. The Hardys reportedly would have paid between $10,000 and $15,000 to acquire the rights to the gimmick. The report also confirms that there was a non-disparagement agreement involved in the deal, which would see Reby Hardy pay $1,000 fine for the first offense and $5,000 after that for every time Reby Hardy posted something about Anthem on Twitter. Reby recently took a couple of shots at Anthem and Jarrett on Twitter after Jarrett claimed that The Hardys had not acquired the ‘Broken’ gimmick.

https://twitter.com/RebyHardy/status/885217228853039105?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fs46315.p1736.sites.pressdns.com%2Fjeff-jarrett-says-the-hardys-havent-acquired-the-broken-gimmick-reby-hardy-claims-jarrett-is-lying%2F

https://twitter.com/RebyHardy/status/885218055365767169?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fs46315.p1736.sites.pressdns.com%2Fjeff-jarrett-says-the-hardys-havent-acquired-the-broken-gimmick-reby-hardy-claims-jarrett-is-lying%2F

The agreement also was said to include The Hardys signing off on a press release that stated that both sides settled on good terms. According to the report, Anthem then wanted 50% of all of the Hardys revenue, which would include Jeff’s art and music. The Hardys saw it as “a monumental heist and money-grab”. The report also notes that GFW is looking to profit off the use of the gimmick by creating “Broken” Hardys DVD or digital series. That would be difficult to accomplish because the Hardys would not endorse the products and would encourage fans not to purchase them.

Global Force Wrestling issued the following statement to Sports Illustrated:

“WWE has clearly stated via email that they do not want the ‘Broken Brilliance’ IP [intellectual property],” GFW said in a statement to SI. “GFW has been and always will be open to a licensing agreement for the IP to all parties, which is customary in the music and entertainment business, but revolutionary in the professional wrestling business.”

Jeff Jarrett Reveals if he Has Reached Out to CM Punk

After walking out on the promotion, ex-WWE Champion CM Punk decided to sign a multi-fight deal with the UFC back in 2014 and embark in a career in mixed martial arts (MMA). Despite dedicating two years of his life to prepare for his inaugural bout, Punk dropped a first round submission loss to young welterweight prospect Mickey Gall at UFC 203 this past September.

Although he seems to be fully dedicated to his new career choice, there is currently a high demand for “The Cult Of Personality” in the professional wrestling world. Global Force Wrestling’s Jeff Jarrett recently took part in a media call earlier this week and was asked if he has reached out to Punk regarding a possible signing. Check out what he had to say here:

“No, CM Punk, to my knowledge, no conversations that I’ve certainly had,” Jarrett said. But also [inaudible] my understanding he’s signed to a UFC situation and that’s where his energy is heading. Unbelievable talent. And I’ve said it when it first came out, hats off to the guy to step into that Octagon. Win, lose or draw, he’s a winner in my book for chasing his dreams.”

Jeff Jarrett Says The Hardys Haven’t Acquired The “Broken” Gimmick, Reby Hardy Claims Jarrett Is Lying

Jeff Jarrett says The Hardys haven’t acquired the “Broken” gimmick

Jeff Jarrett took part in a media conference call this afternoon and was asked by Raj Giri of Wrestling, Inc. if the Hardys have acquired the “Broken” gimmick. Jarrett simply replied “no they haven’t”. On this past week’s episode of RAW, The Hardy Boyz dropped some references to becoming “obsolete” and “broken”. Time will tell if Matt and Jeff bring the gimmick over to WWE, but it appears that they are still locked in a legal battle with Global Force Wrestling over who has the rights to it.

Reby Hardy responds to Jeff Jarrett on Twitter

Reby Hardy, wife of Matt Hardy, disagreed with Jeff Jarrett’s comments during the conference call earlier today and responded to Jarrett’s answer on Twitter. Reby claimed that there is an agreement in place and that the agreement also included a non-disparagement clause where they would have to pay Anthem Sports and Entertainment $5,000 for anytime she tweets something about GFW.

TMZ Audio Of Alberto & Paige Blow Up At Orlando Airport

An audio recording released by TMZ on Monday sheds new light on the airport altercation between Alberto El Patron and Paige that occurred the previous and it conflicts Paige’s version of what transpired.

We reported that Global Force Wrestling Alberto El Patron was detained by police on Sunday at Orlando International Airport for an incident that they described as “domestic violence battery.” Witnesses said Alberto roughed up his female companion, which lead to the authorities getting involved.

Shortly after the news began circulating online, Paige refuted the reports that she and Alberto were at it again:

https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/884496020008251392

https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/884496145673850880

That apparently was not not “it.” In this newly released audio recording, the two were captured in the midst of a heated dispute that involved an emotional Paige saying, “Stay out of my life. Leave me the f*ck alone. I’m trying to get away from you. All the time.”

Alberto is heard saying saying, “Let’s do it. Get the cops .. I’m pressing charges against you. Call the police .. She assaulted me. She needs to be arrested .. We got into a fight at the restaurant.”

We reported exclusively last month that Alberto El Patron and Paige broke up (again) after another altercation, also in Orlando. The split didn’t last and the volatile couple was back together within a matter of days.

Alberto El Patron Detained At Orlando Airport For Domestic Violence Battery

Global Force Wrestling champion Alberto El Patron was detained by police on Sunday at the Orlando airport. PWInsider obtained the following statement from the Orlando Police Department:

“There was an incident at Orlando International Airport at about 3 p.m. Sunday involving Jose Rodriguez (DOB 5/25/1977) The reported incident was a domestic violence battery, and it is still under investigation. No arrests have been made as of this time, but the case remains open. That is all the information we have for release at this time.”

TMZ.com corroborates the story and provided some additional information. The “domestic violence battery” involved Alberto allegedly “roughing up” a female companion. A witness told TMZ that Alberto and the woman were arguing in the terminal. Things escalated, there was an ‘altercation’ and cops were called.

The day prior to the incident, Alberto El Patron’s fiance Paige posted this photo with members of El Patron’s family at Universal Studios in Orlando.

https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/883704106090737664

El Patron had been advertised for an independent show in Texas but did not make it.

It’s the latest erratic incident from the former WWE Superstar. With SmackDown Live taking place from San Antonio, Alberto invited Triple H and the participants of last week’s rap battle to meet him at his restaurant for some beers (and other stuff).

Dixie Carter Featured In WWE 24 Kurt Angle Documentary Airing Monday Night After RAW

Former Impact Wrestling President Dixie Carter will make her WWE ‘television’ debut on Monday night.

WWE issued a “Breaking News” alert announcing that “WWE 24 – Kurt Angle: Homecoming” will premiere on the WWE Network after Monday’s RAW. The documentary will feature Vince McMahon, Dixie Carter and many of Angle’s closest friends and colleagues.

Dixie Carter led TNA (now Global Force Wrestling) from 2002-2017 before ultimately selling a majority stake to Anthem Sports and Entertainment. She remains a minority equity stakeholder.

In related Dixie Carter – WWE news, she reacted to the news of AJ Styles defeating Kevin Owens for the United States Championship at Friday night’s WWE live event from Madison Square Garden. In response to Matt Hardy saying the title change was DELIGHTFUL and #BestForBusiness, Carter tweeted:

Former Knockouts Champion Gone From GFW?

It would appear that Madison Rayne is gone from GFW.

Following Slammiversary on Sunday, the promotion updated its roster section on ImpactWrestling.com and Rayne is no longer listed as an active Knockout.

This does not look to be an oversight as her profile page was also deleted.

She is also not listed in the Alumni section.

Rayne has only wrestled once for the promotion this year. On January 8, she lost to Angelina Love in a match taped for the One Night Only: Rivals pay-per-view that aired in March. She has not wrestled at a TV taping since last October.

As of late, Rayne has been co-hosting With This Ring… with her husband, Josh Mathews. Here is their last show, which hyped Slammiversary.

Rayne has not publicly addressed her status with GFW. She continues to wrestle independently as she is making her return to the all-female promotion SHIMMER this weekend in Berwyn, Illinois. She is wrestling under her pre-Knockout name, Ashley Lane.

Rayne became a Knockout in January 2009, aligning herself with Angelina Love and Velvet Sky as part of the villainous “The Beautiful People.” In April 2010, she won her first of five Knockouts Championships.
