TNA’s Jordynne Grace To Make History With 9/10 WWE NXT Match

The partnership between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling has proven immensely popular with fans who’ve enjoyed seeing talent work for the other promotion. Soon, this partnership will see history made when a TNA-sanctioned championship is defended in a WWE ring!

On Twitter, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace spoke about WWE Week, when RAW, SmackDown, and WWE NXT are all aired on the USA Network next week. The Juggernaut plans on making the week even bigger and shared that she will defend her title in an open challenge on the September 10, edition of WWE NXT. This match will mark the first time that any TNA championship, be it for the men or the women, is defended in a WWE ring.

Jordynne Grace And WWE NXT

After appearing in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match, Grace shocked fans in May by making her WWE NXT debut. At Battleground, Grace unsuccessfully challenged NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez for the gold.

Over in TNA, Grace has had her fair share of NXT challengers. At Against All Odds, Grace retained her title against Tatum Paxley, and held onto the gold against Izzi Dame at TNA iMPACT tapings two weeks later. More recently, Grace defended her gold at a taping against NXT’s Karmen Petrovic.

WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling

Grace isn’t the only name from TNA fans can expect to see during WWE Week. Next week’s episode of WWE NXT will also see The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and X-Division Champion Zachary Wentz) challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championships. The Rascalz earned a title match on this week’s show by defeating the O.C. and Hank & Tank, and now have a chance to bring the NXT Tag Team Championships to TNA Wrestling.

TNA Stars Set Sights On WWE NXT Tag Titles After No Mercy Clash

WWE NXT No Mercy 2024 saw the gold brand’s tag team championships change hands as Chase U lost the gold to Nathan Frazer and Axiom. Now, the high-flyers once again hold the richest prize in NXT’s tag division, but the champions are already garnering interest from outside WWE.

NXT’s latest Premium Live Event also saw Zachary Wentz, fresh from his X-Division title win at TNA Emergence, defeated former ally Wes Lee. Speaking after the match, Wentz and Trey Miguel challenged Frazer and Axiom. While Wentz mentioned that he and Lee previously challenged the pair, he pointed out that Frazer and Axiom have never faced The Rascalz (Wentz & Miguel.)

WWE NXT’s camera crew also caught up with Frazer and Axiom after WWE NXT No Mercy 2024. Despite the pair having issues as of late, Frazer was thrilled that their differences were put aside for the show.

“We still maybe need to work on our communication a little bit a little bit, but put it this way, we’re kicking each other in the face, and we’re still the best tag team in the world. Let’s go celebrate.”

WWE NXT No Mercy 2024 saw more TNA involvement as Joe Hendry unsuccessfully challenged NXT Champion Ethan Page. The NXT-TNA partnership has proven to be very popular and if The Rascalz are to be believed, expect to see much more of this partnership this year.

TNA Star Confirms They Will Bring Title to NXT No Mercy 2024 PLE

A top TNA star has confirmed they will bring their championship title to the NXT No Mercy 2024 Premium Live Event (PLE). This crossover event marks a significant moment in the ongoing relationship between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling, bringing a unique twist to the anticipated event.

Zachary Wentz to Appear at NXT No Mercy

Zachary Wentz recently emerged victorious at the TNA Emergence pay-per-view. Competing in the Ultimate X match, Wentz defeated several top tier opponents, including Speedball Mike Bailey, Jason Hotch, Hammerstone, Laredo Kid, and NXT’s Riley Osborne, to claim the TNA X-Division Championship in an Ultimate X match. This victory has set the stage for an exciting appearance at the WWE NXT No Mercy 2024 event.

Wentz Confirms Title Appearance

Ahead of the WWE NXT No Mercy PLE, Zachary Wentz took to X to confirm that he would be bringing his newly won X-Division Championship with him to the event.

What This Means for WWE and TNA’s Relationship

The inclusion of TNA wrestlers in WWE NXT events has been a significant development in the relationship between the two promotions over the past few months, and having the X-Division Championship on the show is another bizarre moment for fans who remember when WWE and TNA’s relationship was not quite so cordial in the mid to late 2000s.

WWE NXT Talent Compete At Latest TNA Wrestling Tapings

WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling have embarked on a partnership this year that has seen talent from both sides appear for the other. This relationship has proven to be very popular with fans and this partnership continued at TNA’s latest tapings.

This past weekend, TNA held its Emergence event from the Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. At the following tapings, multiple WWE NXT Superstars stepped through the ‘prohibited portal’ (a copyright-friendly alternative for the Forbidden Door.)

Karmen Petrovic made her TNA debut by challenging Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts World Championship but failed to dethrone the Juggernaut. Grace herself has played a pivotal role in WWE’s crossover with TNA, first by appearing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and later in WWE NXT.

Arianna Grace was also part of the WWE NXT influx at the TNA tapings. Grace is the daughter of TNA’s Santino Marella, who serves as TNA’s on-screen director of authority.

While Petrovic and Arianna Grace will soon appear on TNA Wrestling programming, they weren’t the only WWE names at the latest tapings. Riley Osborne was part of the TNA Emergence event, as he competed in the Ultimate-X match that saw Zachary Wentz become the TNA X-Division Champion. It has been reported that Osborne’s partner Blair Davenport was backstage at the show as well.

The NXT-TNA partnership shows no signs of slowing down, with Joe Hendry and Zachary Wentz set to be part of tonight’s WWE NXT No Mercy show. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on the ongoing partnership between the two promotions.

Current Champion Legitimately Hurt During TNA Emergence PPV Match

One half of the current TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Alisha Edwards suffered a legitimate injury during her match at tonight’s Emergence PPV.

The female star teamed up with Ash by Elegance & Masha Slamovich to take on Jordynne Grace, Jody Threat & Dani Luna in a six women tag team match on the show.

At one point in the match, Jody Threat hit a flip dive to the outside on her opponents taking everyone out. When Edwards bumped down for the spot, however, she appeared to have hit her head on the floor or the bottom of the entrance ramp.

The champion was knocked out for real according to PWinsider. Other participants of the bout tried to raise her up for a spot after this but failed.

After realizing that she was knocked out, they brawled with each other instead. The officials then checked on Edwards and the medical staff took her to the back.

The match continued without the wrestling veteran. The ending saw Ash missing a Swanton and Threat capitalized on the opportunity with an F5 for the win.

Alisha was treated backstage and the belief is that she suffered a concussion during the spot. Though this hasn’t been confirmed.

Edwards made a couple of appearances for TNA before joining the company in a regular capacity in 2017. She has been a part of the Knockouts roster since then. She won the Knockouts Tag Team Championships with Masha Slamovich during the Under Siege event back in May.

SEScoops wishes Alisha Edwards a speedy recovery.

Watch: JBL Makes Surprise TNA Debut At Emergence PPV

Former WWE Champion JBL has been making appearances all over the wrestling world and his latest stop was the TNA Emergence PPV event.

The main event of the show featured Nic Nemeth defending the TNA World Championship against Josh Alexander in a 60-minute Iron Man match.

Nemeth picked up early pins in the match to take a 2-0 lead but Alexander evened the score with two consecutive C4 spike piledrivers.

The former WWE star hit the Danger Zone on Josh when only 1 minute was remaining in the match. Instead of going for the pin, however, he executed a C4 spike piledriver of his own to get the score to 3-2 and win the match.

The champion couldn’t celebrate his victory for long as he was interrupted by JBL making his TNA debut. The WWE Hall of Famer entered the ring and whispered something in Nemeth’s ear. The world champion nodded his head in agreement and the show went off air with the debuting star exiting the ring.

Apart from this, the show also featured the return of the X Division match. Mike Bailey entered the bout as champion but it was Zachary Wentz who came out victorious.

Joe Hendry was in action teaming up with The Hardy Bros & Mike Santana. This team was defeated by Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, & Johnny Dango Curtis in the 8 men tag team match.

Jordynne Grace Offers to “Fly Out” NXT Superstar For Match

In an unexpected turn of events, NXT Superstar Jaida Parker has publicly expressed her desire to face Jordynne Grace, the TNA Knockouts Champion.

This challenge comes after Parker’s recent interview with MuscleManMalcom, where she discussed her ambitions and the possibility of answering an open challenge from Grace for the TNA Knockouts Championship.

During the interview, Parker confidently stated, “I’m waiting on my plane ticket. You got something I want, and that’s that gold.”

Jordynne Grace’s Response to the Challenge

Jordynne Grace wasted no time responding to Parker’s challenge. In a tweet that quickly got attention from fans online, Grace replied, “I’ll fly you out myself, drop me your government name and DOB.”

There is currently no indication that this match is something that both TNA and NXT are looking at going forward, but it could be a big for Parker’s burgeoning career.

Parker is currently set to face Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at the No Mercy Premium Live Event on Sunday, September 1st. Grace could make an appearance at the show, but it is not something that we have heard it likely at this point.

TNA Star – ‘I’ll Make The Most Of WWE NXT If I Get The Opportunity’

One TNA Wrestling star plans on making the most of his opportunity should he be a part of the promotion’s ongoing crossover with WWE NXT. On the Mark Hoke Show, TNA’s Hammerstone shared his mentality regarding the popular TNA-NXT partnership.

“I’m not expecting the world to be handed to me. I don’t care what I’m asked to do. Whatever it is, I’m going to go in there with my working boots on do my best job. If that means I’m one of the guys who gets an opportunity at NXT, then I’m going to treat it like it’s the most important opportunity in the world.”

WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling

Several names from both promotions have stepped through the ‘prohibited portal’ as part of WWE’s new regime being more willing than before to work with others. From TNA, fans have seen NXT appearances by Jordynne Grace, The Rascalz, and Joe Hendry. The latter appeared on last night’s show and will challenge NXT Champion Ethan Page this Sunday at WWE NXT No Mercy. On this week’s WWE NXT, Rosemary also appeared as the surprise opponent for Kelani Jordan.

On the NXT roster side of things, fans have seen Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley, and the No Quarter Catch Crew appear on their weekly show TNA iMPACT and at pay-per-views. Both Paxley and Dame have challenged for the TNA Knockouts World Championship though neither won the gold.

What’s to Come?

Before Hammerstone can think of NXT appearances, he first needs to make it to TNA Emergence. At the August 30, show, Hammerstone will be part of an Ultimate X match for the TNA X-Division Championship. Hammerstone will be joined by champion Mike Bailey, Zachary Wentz, Riley Osborne, Jason Hotch, and Laredo Kid. The show will take place at the Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.

TNA Wrestling’s Rosemary Competes On 8/27 Episode of WWE NXT

The ongoing partnership between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT shows no sign of slowing down after Rosemary appeared on this week’s WWE NXT show. The TNA Knockout was revealed as Wendy Choo’s hand-picked opponent for NXT North American Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan. Despite a strong showing by Rosemary, Jordan got the win but was attacked by Choo after the match.

In a WWE NXT exclusive, Rosemary was asked about her alliance with Wendy Choo.

“Wendy, darling Wendy sent the call, and when your kinsman calls for help, you come to help. Even if we don’t always see eye to eye, even if we rule different realms, demons help demons. Wendy needed a hand. But what do you mean we didn’t get what we wanted from Kelani? Sure, we didn’t get the win, but we got in her head, didn’t we? Was she standing at the end of the night? No. She was on her back, clutched in Wendy’s grasp, just as the future is clutched in ours.”

Rosemary is just the latest TNA Wrestling star to step through the ‘prohibited portal’ and appear for WWE NXT. Other names involved in the crossover include Jordynne Grace, The Rascalz, and Joe Hendry. The latter also appeared on last night’s show and will challenge NXT Champion Ethan Page this Sunday at WWE NXT No Mercy.

On the TNA side of things, NXT talent including Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley, and the No Quarter Catch Crew have appeared on their weekly show TNA iMPACT and at pay-per-views. Stay tuned to SE Scoops to see who is next to appear for the other as this relationship is proving to be a hit with fans.

Jordynne Grace Ready to Defend Her TNA Knockouts Title In Any Company

TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace is ready and willing to put her gold on the line in any promotion, amid TNA’s ongoing partnership with NXT. At ViolenceXSuffering’s Arrival 2 event this week, Grace defended her gold in an open challenge that was answered by Megan Bayne. Speaking after her match to SE Scoops correspondent Muscle Man Malcolm, Grace made clear her title is open to all challengers.

“I’ve said this before and I’ll say it a million times over. I’ll defend the TNA Knockouts World Championship anywhere, at any company, against anyone.”

This reign for Grace, her third overall, began at TNA Hard to Kill 2024 when she knocked off Trinity. Grace would retain in the pair’s rematch which also marked Trinity’s final TNA match before returning to WWE as Naomi. The Glow returned during the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match that also saw a surprise appearance by Grace.

What’s to Come?

Grace’s comments will have fans speculating on where she could appear next, and whether a return to WWE NXT could happen for the Knockouts Champion. While Grace appeared for WWE’s gold brand earlier this year, she did not put her title on the line, and instead challenged for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Grace has defended her own gold against NXT’s Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley, though those matches happened at TNA events.

Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on Jordynne Grace and her title reign that will see her compete against anyone brave enough to face the Juggernaut.

After the loss, Moose and JDC were joined by fellow members of The System, Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards, for an attack of Matt and Jeff Hardy. This continued until Joe Hendry and Mike Santana ran out to make the save, ending the broadcast with a four-on-four stand-off after the post-match brawl.

Late Thursday evening, TNA Wrestling confirmed all four members of The System squaring off against The Hardys, Hendry and Santana in a featured eight-man tag-team match for the PPV card, along with Steve Maclin vs. Eric Young in singles action.

On Friday afternoon, TNA announced via Twitter (X) that KUSHIDA and Frankie Kazarian will meet in one-on-one action in a bout that will take place on the Countdown To TNA Emergence 2024 pre-show.

The match comes after the two were involved in a post-match brawl of their own on the 8/22 TNA iMPACT broadcast. After both came up short to Hammerstone in the Ultimate X Qualifier that opened up the show, Kazarian hit KUSHIDA with his “Face To Black” finisher and posed over his unconscious body in the center of the ring.

Rich Swann Arrested, Charged with Public Intoxication, Enters Substance Abuse Rehab

TNA Wrestling’s Rich Swann has entered a rehab program to combat substance abuse following being arrested and charged with public intoxication. Swann was arrested on June 8 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, and charged with disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance, a misdemeanor offense.

According to a public arrest report filed with Seminole County and obtained by POST Wrestling, Swann attempted to forcefully enter an apartment door at approximately 9:50 p.m. This was not Swann’s residence as made clear by the resident in a police report filed by by Officer Zane Hoskins of the Altamonte Springs Police Department.

“My son started yelling for me to come to the door. I came out of the bathroom, heard the banging, and went to my room to grab my handgun. I announced that I had a gun and told whoever was banging to leave.”

Swann allegedly began shouting, “This is my house” before the resident opened the door and displayed his firearm. The address he tried to enter is a short walk from the wrestler’s actual residence.

Later in the night, a second incident occurred when a woman in the neighborhood contacted police. According to the report, the woman had gone to her son’s apartment to collect Amazon packages when she encountered Swann. The wrestler began following her, but when she asked him to stop, he said “what do you mean, stop following you?”

“I started running, and he followed me up to my door, but I managed to get inside and lock it before he could enter.”

Officers located Swann and took him into custody. When Swann was taken to the first apartment, the resident confirmed via Facetime that this was the man who tried to force his way inside.

Officer Hoskins notes in his police report that Swann was incoherent and appeared intoxicated. When Hoskins asked the glassy-eyed Swann if he’d been drinking, he said he had drank “A lot” and that he began around 7 p.m.

Swann was transported to the John E. Polk Correction Facility in Sanford, Fla., about 10 miles from where he was arrested. He was released the next day on a $250 bond. On an affidavit, Swann appeared to indicate he was homeless, account to court records, though other records suggest he has a home address. He is being represented by a private attorney from Orlando’s Joshi law firm. A pre-trial conference for Swann’s case was scheduled for Wednesday in Sanford.

Despite being arrested on June 8, Swann competed at TNA Against All Odds on June 14 and the subsequent TV tapings. TNA first became aware of these incidents when POST Wrestling reached out for comment, their report states. In a statement, TNA said:

“TNA Wrestling takes any and all charges against its performers seriously. Rich Swann is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Swann has informed TNA that he is voluntarily entering into a substance abuse rehabilitation program. TNA Wrestling has suspended Swann, pending a complete investigation into the incidents.

Rich Swann’s Previous Issues

Swann was charged with the same offense in September 2022 after he allegedly caused a disturbance while intoxicated at his apartment complex. In 2017, Swann was arrested in Gainesville, Florida and charged with false imprisonment, a felony, as well as simple domestic battery, which is a misdemeanor. Those charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence, but Storm was released from WWE two months later.

‘Joe Hendry Day’ Honors TNA Wrestling Star In Redwood Falls

The people of Redwood Falls, Minnesota proved they believe in Joe Hendry by celebrating an official day dedicated to the viral TNA Wrestling star. Hendry took to Twitter to announce that the Mayor of Redwood Falls has officially declared August 17th as “Joe Hendry Day.” Initially, Hendry thought it might have been a joke, but it has been officially approved by both the Mayor and the city council.

Joe Hendry’s Whirlwind Momentum

This accolade is just the latest headling-generating success for Hendry, who is proving to be a hit both in and outside of TNA Wrestling. Hendry has been a crucial part in the crossover between NXT and TNA. On the July 30, Great American Bash episode of NXT, Hendry performed a live concert, and the following week, he secured a victory against Joe Coffey. Hendry has also competed in a battle royal for the gold brand, and more recently, has shared his intentions to become WWE NXT Champion.

What’s Next?

Hendry will be a part of a triple threat match on this week’s episode of WWE NXT and will face Pete Dunne and Wes Lee. The winner will earn a shot at WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page at NXT No Mercy. That show will take place on September 1 from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Given the momentum Hendry has been on in WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling, many fans consider him the favorite in this match. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest from WWE NXT and Joe Hendry’s championship pursuit.

TNA Reportedly Considered The UK As Host Of Bound for Glory 2024

TNA Wrestling considered hosting its Bound for Glory event outside of North America for the first time ever this year, it has been reported. Fightful Select notes that the United Kingdom was considered a possible location for the annual pay-per-view. Instead, the show will take place on October 26, from the Wayne State University Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan.

Though these considerations did not come to fruition, the report adds that TNA returning to the UK remains a possibility. Speaking to Cultaholic last year, then-TNA President Scott D’Amore said the promotion will “definitely be back” in the United Kingdom in 2024.

TNA (then Impact Wrestling) returned to the UK last year for its first tour in years. The four-night tour was covered extensively on social media and the event in Newcastle was the promotion’s Turning Point event. The show was headlined by Will Ospreay retaining his IWGP United Kingdom Heavyweight title against Eddie Edwards.

TNA Wrestling and the UK

TNA has a long history with the United Kingdom with several tours overseas throughout the promotion’s 22-year history. In 2009, a house show in London’s Wembley Arena (not to be confused with Wembley Stadium next door) broke the TNA attendance record with 9,000 fans filling the venue.

TNA airs weekly in the United Kingdom and has hosted two seasons of ‘British Boot Camp’ a reality show in which UK-based talent compete for a contract with TNA. Notable names from the show include Rockstar Spud, Grado, Kris Travis, Noam Dar, Alba Fyre, Nikki Cross, and Piper Niven.

Fans in the UK are known for being a passionate bunch, as we’ve seen in recent years with WWE events and AEW All In. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest on TNA and the potential return of the promotion to the United Kingdom.

Scott D’Amore Has Spoken With Len Asper Since TNA Outing, Suggests There Are “Hard Feelings”

Scott D’Amore has spoken with TNA higher-ups since being unceremoniously cut from the promotion in January of this year. Appearing on the Busted Open Radio, D’Amore shared that two days before the Hard to Kill pay-per-view, he was informed that he would be replaced as TNA President.

“I was about to get on a plane, I found out kind of what was in the cards. [Anthem CEO] Len Asper and I had a chat about it. Even though I had seen some signs, it still hit me pretty hard, but I did what professionals do.”

What professionals do, as D’Amore explained in the interview, was fly to Las Vegas and do his best to make TNA Hard to Kill a success. The event marked the relaunch of TNA after years as IMPACT Wrestling and saw the debuts of Ash By Elegance and Nic Nemeth. Speaking to SE Scoops after the event, Killer Kelly said morale had been very high as the show was considered a rousing success.

Speaking With TNA

While D’Amore’s time with TNA has ended, he’s not entirely left the promotion behind. In the interview, Scott said he’s spoken with Asper, but that things are not entirely fine between the two men.

“I’ve spoken with Len Asper since then. Like as I said to him the day we talked about it, or it might have been the day the announcement went ahead, he said I hope there is no hard feelings. I said I can’t say there are no hard feelings, but there are no personal feelings.”

D’Amore has since relaunched Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in his native Canada. The promotion will host its first two events this October and will stream live on Triller TV on pay-per-view. TNA’s Josh Alexander, Gisele Shaw, and KUSHIDA have been announced for these tapings, as well as former WWE World Champion Rah Dhesi.

TNA Bound for Glory 2024 Set for 10/26 In Detroit, Michigan

TNA Wrestling’s wave of momentum in 2024 will see the promotion travel to Detroit, Michigan this October for the 20th Bound for Glory event. The show will take place on October 26 at the Wayne State University Fieldhouse. Tickets for the show will go on sale later this month.

Fans will be interested to see if the Bound for Glory series makes a return ahead of this October’s pay-per-view. The round-robin tournament sees wrestlers compete against one another over several months to earn points, and the wrestlers with the highest points face one another to determine the number one contender for the TNA World Title. Previous winners include Bobby Roode, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, and EC3.

Wayne State University Fieldhouse was opened in November 2001 and has a capacity of 3,000 seats. Bound for Glory will mark TNA’s first event using the venue which is the home of the Wayne State Warriors men’s and women’s basketball teams.

TNA In Michigan

This show will mark TNA’s first pay-per-view in Michigan since Slammiversary 2009 took place at The Palace of Auburn Hills. In the main event of that show, Kurt Angle defeated Mick Foley, A.J. Styles, Jeff Jarrett, and Samoa Joe to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Three years earlier, TNA held Bound for Glory 2006 at the Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. That show saw Sting defeat Jeff Jarrett to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

Joe Hendry Wants To Stay In NXT For A Lot Longer, Offers Match for 8/13 Show

The WWE Universe should get used to seeing TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry in WWE NXT following his victory on this week’s show. At the second week of the NXT Great American Bash 2024, Hendry defeated Joe Coffey in the TNA star’s first singles match since coming to the gold brand.

After the match, Hendry said he likes it in NXT and might stay for a lot longer. The former TNA Digital Media Champion said that the roster won’t have to say his name and he’ll still appear in NXT. If anyone has a problem with that, Hendry said they can face him on next week’s show.

Joe Hendry in WWE

Hendry has been a focal point of WWE NXT’s ongoing crossover with TNA Wrestling, hardly a surprise given that he’s one of wrestling most popular performers today. Hendry headlined the July 9, episode of the gold brand and performed a concert mocking Gallus during last week’s WWE NXT Great American Bash special.

Hendry’s role in NXT has proven to be a hit with fans and the Scottish star has bigger plans in the promotion, including a possible future collision with John Cena & The Rock. In the more-near future, Hendry will be back on TNA iMPACT this week where he’ll face Gallus’ Wolfgang in another example of a crossover between that promotion and WWE. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for the latest on Joe Hendry as the viral Scottish star continues to take the wrestling world in WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling by storm.

Joe Hendry: ‘I Believe I’ll Share The Screen With John Cena & The Rock’

Could Joe Hendry go face-to-face with WWE icons like John Cena and The Rock? The TNA Wrestling star certainly believes so. Speaking with The Wrestling Matt, Hendry shared his belief that he will one day share the ring with the two megastars.

“I believe I will have an in-ring interaction with The Rock. I believe I will have a match with John Cena. If I’d have told you four months ago this is where I’d be right now, no one would have believed me. But I did. My team did.”

During the podcast, Hendry noted that it’s possible his interaction with The Rock will be a ‘guitar off’ between himself and WWE’s Final Boss. The Rock, like Hendry, has hosted several concerts over the years to poke fun at in-ring opponents.

It’s impossible to ignore how popular Hendry has become in a relatively short period of time. 2024 has seen the Scottish star be a focal point of TNA’s crossover with NXT, and is set to return during tonight’s Great American Bash (Week Two) event. Hendry will take on Joe Coffey of Gallus on tonight’s show, in the singles debut for Joe in NXT.

As for John Cena and The Rock, their returns to WWE programming are already etched in stone. The Rock confirmed during the post-WrestleMania RAW that he will be back, but has his sights set on Cody Rhodes. The Great One remains tied to WWE off-screen as part of TKO’s Board of Directors.

Cena will kick off his final year of wrestling later this year ahead of the 16-time WWE World Champion’s retirement in 2025. Hendry has expressed his interest in facing Cena and has vowed to offer John a TNA World Championship match should the viral Scottish star win the gold.

WWE NXT Stars Compete At Friday’s TNA Tapings from Tampa, FL

WWE’s working relationship with TNA Wrestling was on display at Friday’s TNA Impact television tapings from Tampa, FL, at the Florida State Fairgrounds. NXT stars Riley Osborne from Chase U, Wolfgang and Dante Chen competed at the tapings.

Wolfgang, a former NXT Tag Team Champion and NXT UK Tag Team Champion, is part of Gallus, a faction currently feuding with TNA star Joe Hendry.

This partnership has been mutually beneficial, which each company enjoying the fresh match-ups created when wrestlers ‘cross lines’ or walk through forbidden doors. Stay tuned to SEScoops for our continued coverage of TNA iMPACT!, which airs every Thursday.

Mustafa Ali Finishing Up With TNA Wrestling

Mustafa Ali is finishing up with TNA Wrestling and released the following ‘political statement’ addressing his run with the company.

Ali debuted for TNA in the main event of No Surrender, where he challenged and defeated Chris Sabin for the TNA X-Division Championship. He is ‘stepping down’ to focus on independent bookings.

MUSTAFA ALI

August 1, 2024

My Fellow Citizens of TNA,

Over the past six months, we have made great progress as a company.

Today, TNA has the strongest fanbase in the world. We’ve made historic investments in rebuilding our X-Division, in lowering the number of senior citizens on our roster, and in expanding affordable tickets to a record number of fans worldwide. We’ve provided critically needed entertainment to millions. Passed the first “limits” rule for the X-Division in 22 years. Featured the X-Division Championship on the cover of Pro Wrestling Illustrated for the first time since 2006. Appointed the first Pakistani-Indian American as champion. Main evented recording breaking attendance shows. TNA has never been better positioned to lead than we are today.

I know none of this could have been done without you, the citizens of TNA. Together, we overcame unfit and unfair leaders. We’ve protected and preserved our X-Division. And we’ve revitalized and strengthened our alliances with promotions all around the world.

It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your X-Division Champion. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the X-Division for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my independent obligations for the remainder of my term.

I will not speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision.

For now, let me express my deepest gratitude to all those who have worked so hard to see me reelected. I want to thank Campaign Singh for being an extraordinary campaign manager in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the Citizens of TNA for the faith and trust you have placed in me.

I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing that TNA can’t do-when we do it together. We just have to remember we are TNA.

Nic Nemeth Wants To Defend TNA Title Against Top AEW Star

Nic Nemeth’s ‘Wanted Man’ moniker fits him like a glove these days as the reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Nemeth has vowed to be a fighting champion, and he’s not just waiting for top competitors to call him out. The company is asking fans on social media who they want to see step up and put themselves to the test. Nemeth wasted no time chiming in with his own pick for a future challenger: AEW star Kenny Omega.

Nick Nemeth vs. Kenny Omega

If his World Title win was any indication, Nemeth has made the most of his opportunities outside of WWE, fully embracing his free agency by wrestling on the independents, but also in New Japan Pro-Wrestling before finding more of a residence in TNA. Nemeth has also flexed his commetary and comedic muscles by staying busy in stand-up comedy and as a host on Busted Open Radio.

Omega vs. Nemeth would certainly draw some eyes as Kenny happened to have a memorable heel run as TNA World Champion during the global pandemic. Omega took on several challengers while champion after he defeated Rich Swann for the title. Omega’s timetable for an in-ring return is quite blurry as he’s been aiming to recover from a bout with diverticulitis.

TNA is currently working relationship with WWE, which is the biggest factor prohibiting this TNA vs. AEW dream match. We’ll follow up if Kenny Omega replies to Nemeth’s call-out.

Details On TNA Slammiversary Main Event: Original Plans, Joe Hendry

More has come to light around the main event of TNA Slammiversary 2024 which saw the coronation of Nic Nemeth as the company’s top star. Nemeth won the gold in a six-man elimination match that featured former champion Moose, Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, and Frankie Kazarian. This win fulfilled a promise by Nemeth to win the title shortly after he arrived in TNA at January’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view.

While this was a monumental win for Nemeth, the Wanted Man was not originally planned to win the gold, Fightful Select reports. Instead, it’s claimed that the plan back in May was for Josh Alexander to win the title at Slammiversary. Alexander, the longest reigning TNA World Champion, was forced to vacate the gold due to a torn triceps injury in March 2023.

Some expected Joe Hendry to win the title, given his immense popularity in both TNA and WWE NXT. It’s reported that TNA feels that Hendry and Alexander’s current feud was strong enough to not need the title, and thus Nemeth was crowned the champion. Hendry eliminated Moose in the title match, guaranteeing a new World Champion, before being eliminated by Alexander who turned heel in the process.

It’s not just in TNA that Nemeth has been winning gold since his surprising WWE release in September 2023. After debuting in NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 18, Nemeth captured the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at Battle in the Valley the following month. More recently, Nemeth won the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania in a match with old WWE rival Alberto El Patron.

Joe Hendry Appears At WWE NXT Live Event After TNA Star’s Name Is Said

The utterance of Joe Hendry’s name in Davenport, Florida this week resulted in the TNA Wrestling star making an appearance at a WWE NXT live event. In the hours leading up to the July 26, event, Hendry had suggested that he’d be at the show.

True to his word, Hendry appeared at the event to the surprise of the Davenport crowd after Mark Coffey inadvertently said his name. Hendry teamed with Je’Von Evans and Shiloh Hill to take on Gallus. Despite Hendry having Gallus’ number on WWE NXT TV in recent weeks, it was the heels who got the win.

Hendry has been a central part of the ongoing NXT-TNA crossover. After debuting as part of a battle royal, the viral TNA star has since headlined WWE NXT and worked alongside former NXT Champion Trick Williams. Much like the NXT-TNA partnership as a whole, Hendry’s work with the gold brand has proven exceptionally popular, leaving fans eager to see more of this working relationship.

Joe’s next NXT appearance will be this coming Tuesday when he performs a concert at Night One of the NXT Great American Bash. Hendry made sure fans at this week’s show were well aware of the upcoming performance as he gifted signed flyers promoting his segment in the parking lot. If Hendry’s previous concerts are any indicator, fans can expect another viral segment from the Scottish star who’ll have some choice barbs for those on the WWE NXT roster.

Jeff Hardy Reflects On His Past Mistakes: “I still have so much guilt and shame”

The last several years of former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy’s life can be described as turbulent at best and downright disastrous at worst.

While fans were delighted to see The Charismatic Enigma make a surprise return to in-ring late last month, it’s fair to say that the hardships of the last 2-3 years still weigh heavily on Jeff’s mind.

On a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Jeff Hardy expressed shame and guilt for how his tenure at AEW turned out. Hardy had signed with the company shortly following a messy release from WWE in early 2022, but a DUI arrest in June of that year led to his indefinite suspension until his return in April 2023.

“I still have so much guilt and shame from AEW giving me an opportunity, and even Matt, to me breaking trust with my personal issues and real life.’

At the same time, Jeff Hardy also made it clear that he’s looking at his new opportunity in TNA as a chance to both redeem himself, hut also make things up to his always supportive brother Matt Hardy. The former world champion noted that he would not “break TNA’s trust”

“I want to make that up to Matt. I will say right here that I will not break TNA’s trust. That is in my past. It feels good to have somewhat of a clean slate with that stuff and start fresh instead of having that guilt and shame about what I did in a certain world of pro wrestling”.

Jeff Hardy made his official return to in-ring action when he and his brother competed on TNA IMPACT! to try and the TNA Tag Team Championships from Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards.

Prior to that, Hardy’s last previous match took place way back in February, when he went one-on-one with Sammy Guevara in a No Disqualification match. Hardy would suffer a broken nose during the match following a botched splash from Guevara, who has eventually suspended himself following the incident for “following concussion protocol.”
