Corgan received a round of applause before talking for around ten minutes on his vision for the company’s new direction.

Spoilers: TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings Results (Taped 8/14)

Here are complete results from Sunday night’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings from Orlando, FL, courtesy of CretinHop138:

– TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley is out to start the show. Lashley has apparently injured EC3 at the press conference and the BFG main event is rumoured to be in jeoprady (storyline). Lashley proclaims himself as the 2016 Wrestler of the Year and that nobody has been able to touch him when being a champion. Look at any other company there is nobody like or as good as him. Lashley challenges anyone in the back to come out and face him. Here comes….Grado. Lashley laughs and said is this a joke? Grado says he gets it and that he likes to make people laugh he wants this match to prove he isn’t a joke and he can hang with a hoss like Bobby Lashley.

– Bobby Lashley just beats the shit out of Grado and busts him open and asks is there anyone else…as Moose comes out and is super over and goes right for Lashley. Lashley bails when Moose starts to get the upper hand in the brawl.

– Impact Grand Championship tournament time as Aron Rex defeats Trevor Lee by pinfall in Round 2. Interesting note as they announced the point score at the end of each round during the 30 second rest period. Rex took Round 1.

– Here comes Maria Kanellis and a sad look Allie. Maria demands Allie walk infront of her and hold the ropes for her.

– Maria once again runs down Allie, about how a little girl like her can think she can be a wrestler let alone Knockouts Champion. She says that tonight she will induct Gail into the TNA HOF, video package of Maria kicking Gail Kim’s ass over the past year. Gail comes out. As her HOF gift Maria gave Gail a picture of Maria with the belt, Allie says Gail is the best, her hero and wants to be as good as her one day and tries to give her a gift. Maria takes Allie’s gift and smashes it on the canvas. This brings Dixie out to announce something from Corgan. Dixie says that Billy and the board of directors have decided that Maria can no longer be leader of the knockouts due the fact she is champion and there is a conflict of interest, which Dixie says the way Maria “won it” is genuinely one of the most embarassing things she’s seen over the past few years and “that covers a lot of ground”, Gail will get her ceremony at BFG.

– There will be a KO Gauntlet, winner will face Maria at BFG.

– Eddie Edwards defeated Shera in the third round by submission. Points score was Eddie took round one, Shera took round two before Eddie got the win in round three.

– Decay all over the building, said Bram is gone because he would not join Decay, Maxel deserves a family that is not Broken also Decay apparently beat up Senor Benjamin quite horrificly but failed to find King Maxel. Matt says they don’t fear death, Nero says at BFG Decay will be rendered obsolete, Matt says at BFG they will have no ordinary match but “A Great War”, Decay agrees. So Decay want Maxel. Basically the idea I think will be Decay commits terrible acts to the point Matt and Jeff become fixed again and snap them out of their Broken state.

– Allie has been kicked out of the Lady Squad and replaced with Laurel Vanness (I presume Chelsea)

– Gail Kim wins the Gauntlet, and will face Maria at BFG for the title.

– Bobby Lashley out again, says he sees Moose and that he is a fair and intelligent business man. He will NOT be fighting Moose tonight which gets boos. Lashley says he fights for big money, he is willing to fight Moose in the main event of BFG. Moose agrees on the big money aspect however he’s not going to wait so he brawls with him around the ring and presumedly rejects Lashley’s BFG offer. Bennett comes out for Moose but here comes EC3 with a chair as Bennett and Lashley bail.

Spoilers: TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings Results (Taped 8/13)

Here are complete results from Saturday night’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings from Orlando, FL, courtesy of CretinHop138:

– Starting off with an “Ultimate X Gauntlet” for the vacated X Division title. Two wrestlers start and another one comes in 90 seconds there after. The match doesn’t officially start until all wrestlers are in the ring. Once all men have entered, the match begins and they can try grab the belt.

DJ Z is the new X Division champion. Friend who’s there that this match was very much the X Division of old and an X Division chant broke out whilst they took the Ultimate X down. Lee and Everett grabbed the belt but they were trying to pull it out of each others hands, DJZ with the crossbody catches the belt and lands on the floor. They’re teasing a feud between Lee, Everett and DJ Z.

– It’ll be Bobby Lashley defends his title against Mike Bennett, Bennett’s out and says he completes his mission tonight to win the TNA World Title he calls out Moose to resolve the friction between them. Lashley out instead and he says that Moose is done with Bennett and wants to compete on his own, Bennett says Lashley is jealous of Moose because Moose is a legitimate threat to Lashley. Lashley is so confident tonight he makes the main event a No DQ match, Bennett then says he knows Moose didn’t go to dinner with Lashley (I presume this will be a pre recorded thing). Lashley then asks where is Moose and then claims he’s smartened Moose up and promised Moose a World Title match. Bennett says he says he’s not playing Lashley’s stupid little games. Lashley being a tweener here. Bennett leaves and says Moose will be on his side tonight and that Lashley will lose his title to him.

– Moose then comes out and says his actions have done the talking, and whoever got in his way, he’d lay them out. Moose claims he never met Lashley everywhere. Bennett nods like a wimp and says “we will win the title tonight” Moose just stares at him.

– EC3 vs Eli Drake next. EC3 over Eli Drake in a good match.

– They show Galloway brutally assaulting Aron Rex after the match at last night’s tapings

– Drew Galloway comes out in a black hoodie with the hood up, looks at the crowd with disgust on his way with the ring. This is tremendous stuff, Galloway on fire here. The fans chant loudly “Why Drew why!?” Drew says you don’t know what you have before it’s gone. He said he came to TNA to put a stop to intruders using TNA like they have done in the past, and that’s why he was the leader. When he won the title, he partied with the fans, but when he lost, the fans were too concerned with EC3 and Aron Rex. He said he shook Rex’s hands, but then looked at the fans and said the fans weren’t cheering for him, but the “bloody referee”. He blames the fans for what has happened to him and what he did to Rex. He says Rex is trying to be the next Drew Galloway, and Galloway will be his messiah and teach him a lesson. He promises he will put Rex in the hospital if he sees him again which gets thundereous boos from the crowd who chant Why Drew Why again.

Billy Corgan interrupts and says Galloway’s actions are not acceptable on a man he and his staff specifically went after, Tells Drew he has a case of Scottish Paranoia. He says he considered suspending Galloway without pay, but he was talked out of it by “a little bird.” Galloway claims Corgan is a sellout businessman, and that he is the president and went from the leader to being Dixie’s b*tch to the fact he now has her job. Aron Rex comes out says he was the one who got in Corgan’s ear and that he called Billy not the other way round and that he wanted to come here, he says before he would have verbally torn you a new asshole, now he’ll physically do it. He runs to the ring and they brawl before security breaks it up .

– We have Balloons and champagne in the ring. Allie comes out to catchy theme music and looks shocked and happy. A surprisingly lively Impact Zone again chant Allie’s name. She’s a babyface here.  Maria Kanellis declares herself the new TNA Knockouts Champion. Maria demands Allie to lay down and calls her a “doe eyed idiot” also said if she loves her job she’ll do it and if she didn’t she’ll get Sienna to beat up and fire Allie. Maria pins her and becomes the new champ. She makes Allie stand up, put the belt around her waist, and declare her the new champ. Allie is lookng upset while she does it. This gets a TON of heat. This will play off a lot better on TV than on paper, the crowd loathed Maria for this.

– Bobby Lashley retains his World Title after Moose walked out on Bennett, Lashley hits a spear and gets the duke.

– Bennet calls Moose into the ring after the match, and asks Moose who he thinks he is. He calls him a failed football player and he is nothing without him and the Atlanta Falcons suck. Moose lays him out with a Gamebreaker.

– This Impact is over. More was taped after this for the next show.

– Corgan thanks the fans of Orlando and he promises big things are coming, and he claims he loves Orlando and Orlando will be TNA’s home for years to come and that they’re hopefully going to give the IZ a little makeover as well he also hints the TNA name change could be happening soon. Now they are going to start shooting some more TV.

Corgan announces that the King of the Mountain championship has been retired as it represented old TNA and the past and that he wants to take this company forward, there has been a new belt made and it will be called the “Impact Grand Championship” and it will be a championship that represents the “sweet science” of professional wrestling. Galloway’s music hits and he storms out. Corgan shows the belt to the crowd and its a nice looking belt influenced by the 6 sided ring.

Galloway wants a title shot, but Corgan claims this title brings rules and a new pace. He says 8 men will compete in a single elimination, under “new standard impact rules”. 3 time limited rounds will take place during these matches, where judges backstage will decide the winner if it goes the whole time limit. The new champ will be crowned at BFG.

Aron Rex interupts Galloway and he tells him he will beat him up basically in more intelligent terms. Corgan stops them both they’re not going to ruin this and tells Galloway he will have the first match in the tournament. The judges are out sitting around ringside in chairs and I have no idea who they are.

– Drew Galloway defeats Braxton Sutter in Round 3 by Tapout with the Iron Maiden. Surprisingly it worked pretty well. It all depends on how they book the finishes. This system gives a chance to make some wrestlers look better in losing as well. Spud returns and kicks Sutter in the balls and rams Sutter’s head into the exposed turnbuckle.

– Bennett comes out basically says he and his wife run things round here, says he fired Moose via Fed Ex. Dixie interrupts and announces to everyone that Moose has been signed by Billy Corgan and will face Mike Bennett at Bound for Glory, Dixie shakes Moose’s hand and leaves. Moose than coems down to the ring and attacks Bennett.

– Allie/Sienna vs Gail/Jade next…. Sienna is bullying Allie into starting the match, she’s too scared, so Sienna forces Allie to stand by the ring post (she’s pouting) as she’s not a wrestler, fans are chanting “We want Allie”.  Allie tags herself in, gets on the top rope, screams “I CAN DO IT!” then hits a missile dropkick! ….accidently on Sienna. Jade delivers a package piledriver on Sienna for the win.

– Its official : Decay vs the Broken Hardyz for the tag titles at BFG.

– Jessie Godderz vs Eli Drake in the next Impact Grand Championship tournament match…next.  Eli Drake defeated Jessie Godderz via pinfall with Blunt Force Trauma in Round 2 to advance.

– Xplosion/ONO stuff, end of show.

Spoilers: TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings Results (Taped 8/12)

– Kicking off with Jade vs Gail Kim Match ended in a no contest as Sienna came in pulled Gail Kim off the pinfall and attacked Jade, which resulted in a disqualification for Gail Kim and Jade winning the match. Maria on the mic and celebrates and says “NO TITLE SHOT FOR YOU!!!”

– EC3 and Galloway out in the ring, he accepts Galloways challenge and that he is a man of integrity. Aron Rex will be the special referee.

– Ladies and gentleman, Broken Jeff Hardy. He’s gone to the darkside. 4 way tag ladder match next. The Broken Hardyz win the match as predicted, Jeff did all the work and then Matt just got in the ring and climbed the ladder to get the contract.

– Oh my goodness, Bobby Lashley has done a Shane Douglas, he has thrown down the X Division and KOTM belts, and declared them dead and not fit for purpose. He is unfiying all of the titles. Corgan warns him not to, Lashley gets right in his face and tells Corgan to shut his mouth “boss man”.

– Number 1 contenders battle royal coming up. Winner faces Lashley. Mike Bennett is Number 1 contender, He tosses Eddie Edwards and Moose over the top rope to win it.

– Fact of Life with Eli Drake time – Spud, Mandrews, Lee, Everett, Sutter, Zema all guests.

– EC3 defeats Drew Galloway to retain his BFG title shot in what has been described by tweeters and people there as an outstanding main event. Drew gets up and shakes EC3’s hand as EC3 leaves the ring.

– Drew cements his heel turn, he attacks Aron Rex brutally after the match, fans are booing Drew.

TNA Introduces New “Grand Championship” With MMA-Style Rules

The following contains spoilers for TNA Impact Wrestling:

TNA taped another round of Impact Wrestling shows on Friday night form Orlando and the King of the Mountain championship is no more. The shake-up comes after the Billy Corgan has been promoted to the new President of Impact Wrestling.

TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley officially unified the KOTM title with the World Heavyweight Championship, effectively retiring the King of the Mountain title.

A new “Grand Championship” belt was unveiled – and the belt has its own set of rules unlike anything we’ve ever seen in pro wrestling. Similar to UFC and mixed martial arts, matches for the Grand Championship will go 3 rounds, with a team of judges choosing a winner based on points, if the match goes the distance.

The events that unfolded are expected to air next week on Impact.

Eric Bischoff Suing TNA, Comments On Former TNA Stars In WWE, More

Eric Bischoff was interviewed this past week at Montreal Comic Con by Ryan Rider of Main Event Radio. It was a newsworthy chat, with Bischoff revealing that he’s currently in the midst of a lawsuit with TNA and giving his thoughts on former TNA stars AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode currently in WWE/NXT.

Here are some highlights of what he said about:

What went wrong with TNA:

“I try to put them both out of my mind so I couldn’t tell you. No comment. I’m in the middle of a lawsuit with them so I can’t really comment.”

Any positive memories from his time in TNA?

“I don’t have any.”

AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Bobby Roode now in WWE:

“You name three guys who are probably the one bright spot of my time in that other organization. There are all 3 some of the most quality people as human beings and as professionals. I’m thrilled to death for AJ Styles as I am for Samoa Joe. I think Bobby Roode is probably one of the most under-estimated, highest potential talents that WWE could get their hands on so I’m thrilled to death for him. I won’t say that Samoa Joe is underrated because most people recognize what a special athlete he is, but if you get to know him on a personal level you cannot find a better person so I’m thrilled to death.”

His son Garrett:

“He’s doing great. He’s not still wrestling. He transitioned out of wrestling when I did. He has a great career now, lives down in Florida, he’s married, and he’s doing well.”

If he would ever return to WWE, even for a one-time appearance:

“Highly doubtful. Because I haven’t gotten a call. And I’m a little busy; I’ve got stuff going on. Not to be coy or cute, I think that time has passed. I had a great time, I worked there for 5 years and it was one of the highlights of my career. Times change, people change. I think a character like mine I’d come back for a week or two or three but then after that people would get tired and say this is the ‘same old, same old’ kind of thing.”

Is he finished with the pro wrestling business?

“Never say never. If the right opportunity and by that I mean something that was exciting and felt fresh. Something that I believed that the fans would really appreciate and that I would have fun doing. I’d love to be back. Because I love the business and a lot of the people in it. I’ve spent a lot of time in the business, I’ve done a lot of things. It would take something pretty unique to get me excited. It’s really gratifying to see after all these years, and I’ve been in the business for 30 years, and after all of these years to see fans wearing nWo shirts and fans of WCW who still remember make me feel good.”

Lashley Pulled From Indy Appearances After TNA Raises His Appearance Fee

TNA has taken control of Bobby Lashley’s independent bookings, and it may have resulted in at least one cancellation.

Lashley has reportedly been pulled from an upcoming tournament promoted by Lucha Libre Elite in Mexico. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that TNA’s new deal with Lashley gives them control of his bookings, and they’ve raised his price. TNA is reportedly now charging $6,000 USD to book Lashley, which is a lot higher than what Lashley was charging before.

Lashley still gets paid the full amount in his TNA contract whether his appearances are cancelled or not. He’s reportedly lost at least two more bookings since TNA took over the duties and raised his fee.

TNA’s business model here is to offer talent a higher dollar amount on their contracts, then make it back by booking the talent out to independent promotions. In the case of new TNA signee Moose for example, TNA is expected to book him for 110 non-TNA dates over the next year.

Hardy Says WWE’s Wyatt Compound Segment Lacked The “Heart & Soul” Of The Final Deletion

Matt Hardy says his current ‘Broken’ character is an attempt to emphasize the entertainment element of sports entertainment, and WWE has been unable to successfully emulate his ‘Final Deletion.’

On episode 91 of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Hardy spoke at-length about his character, and says WWE’s Wyatt Compound segment was “blasphemy.”

Hardy says that he feels pro wrestling has been stale for the last few years, and referred to internet wrestling fans as “arrogant ants” who are very opinionated. Hardy feels that online fans want “some kind of athletic contest full of spot monkeys,” and he’s bringing wrestling back to a “different universe” where it is more entertainment.

On the subject of The New Day and the Wyatt Family facing off in an empty field on RAW, Hardy feels it’s a direct copy of TNA’s Final Deletion segment. He says that WWE’s vast resources were unable to produce a segment with “heart and soul.”

“I saw that blasphemy, that sacrilege,” Hardy said of the Wyatt Family Compound segment. “Nero, Wyatts, I know what they’re doing. Oh, they are copying. They are mimicking. They saw the greatness of The Final Deletion. I went out and I deleted Brother Nero, the man who was a thorn in my side. They tried to jump on it, thinking they could use WWE and McMahon and his money to produce some masterpiece that could blow away what we put together as Final Deletion. That is not what is going to happen because ours was truly heart and soul.”

Hardy noted that Bobby Lashley is next on his list of people to “delete.”

You can listen to the entire podcast with Hardy here.

Report: TNA Sale Negotiations On Hold While Dixie Carter Vacations In Africa

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKzHpRyAsRA

TNA’s longterm hopes for grown & sustainability rely on a competent buyer materializing – but that scenario is temporarily on hold.

Despite recent reports that a TNA sale was imminent, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Dixie Carter is currently on a two-week vacation in Africa, putting ongoing negotiations on hold.

If you’ve been following this story, you know the ongoing theme with a potential TNA sale is the fact that Dixie Carter wants to retain majority ownership. Briefly recapping, country singer Toby Keith was ready to sign the papers to buy the company, but Dixie Carter’s father Bob insisted that she stay on TV playing the President of the company. Keith had wanted to bring back Jarrett to run the company.

TNA is said to be behind on paying their staff.

Impact Preview For Tonight: Moose’s Debut, Monster’s Ball

Tonight’s TNA Impact Wrestling will feature the following:

  • The semi-finals of the BFG Playoffs
  • Monster’s Ball: BroMans vs. The Decay for the TNA Tag Team Championships

Plus, former Ring of Honor star Moose makes his in-ring debut for TNA. He recently spoke with Josh Matthews about his decision to join the company:

Matt Hardy Reveals Which WWE Wrestler He Wants To Face Before He Retires

While Jeff Hardy is adamant that he wants to face The Undertaker before he retires, his brother has a different WWE star in mind as a future opponent. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Matt Hardy revealed that he wants to step in the ring with none other than WWE’s Bray Wyatt. Hardy, somewhat in character as “Broken” Matt Hardy, said that he has “fondness and appreciation” for “the Bray Wyatt.”

“I see that he is driven by a higher power, much like I am driven and motivated and inspired and given strength by the Seven Deities,” Hardy said. “I respect how he doesn’t walk the normal path, he carves his own. I would love, one day down that road, to show up in WWE and have a match with the Bray Wyatt. I would love to bring him to my battlefield and delete him–that would be my honor.”

Hardy and Wyatt had a brief Twitter spat, following WWE airing a “Wyatt compound” segment that some felt was in reaction to TNA’s “Final Deletion” segment.

Jeff Hardy Wants His Final Match To Be Against The Undertaker At WrestleMania Inside HIAC

TNA star Jeff Hardy recently spoke with LA Weekly about his guest appearance at the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of the Jugalos event. Hardy revealed his dream retirement match is to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania – inside Hell in a Cell.

“Man, I want to Swanton off the top of the cell, onto the commentary table.” Hardy said. “Then, I want to climb the cell, cut the fucking cage, when Taker’s back in the ring, and Swanton though the cage, miss, and then Tombstone 1-2-3.”

He also revealed that his TNA contract expires in February 2017. While the ideal scenario would see him wrestle his final match in a WWE ring, he’s unable to work a full-time schedule at this stage in his career and he’d be at peace staying in TNA.

“Matt and I are doing some great stuff in TNA right now, so I’ll be happy to stay here until the end if that’s how it works out.”

Impact Wrestling Viewership Increases For First Thursday Night Show

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGNQTO0RCLQ

Impact Wrestling debut in their new Thursday night timeslot on Pop TV this week. This week’s show averaged 362,000 viewers, which is up from last week’s 358,000 viewers on Tuesday.

TNA moving the show to Thursdays was partly due to SmackDown debuting on Tuesdays this week. Impact Wrestling usually suffers a drop in viewership when they change broadcast nights, so this slight increase is good news for TNA management.
