UFC 137 Official Weigh-Ins

UFC 137 weigh-ins took place this afternoon at the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada as the fighters took turns officially weighing in for the pay-per-view event scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, October 29, 2011.

A shoving match was quickly intervened as B.J. Penn and Nick Diaz became heated during their customary nose to nose face-off, both men made weight at 169 pounds and 170 pounds respectively. Diaz quickly left following the scuffle, not staying for the post weigh-in interview. Penn remained on the stage, however he gave quick one-sentence response in his interview.

Tyson Griffin was given an hour to drop three pounds as he came in slightly too heavy, at 149 pounds, for his bout with Bart Palaszewski who made weight at 146 pounds.

Roy Nelson played to the crowd drawing laughs when the 252 pounder wore a fat suit to the scale. Preliminary-card fighter Tyson Griffin, though, wasn’t wearing such a suit but still came in three pounds heavy (149) for his bout with Bart Palaszewski. Griffin has an hour to drop the extra weight.

Stay tuned for a full photo gallery of the proceedings later this evening.
