Viewership data is in for Impact Wrestling’s premiere on Destination America and it looks like TNA is going to have an uphill battle head.
Wednesday’s 2-hour Impact Wrestling broadcast averaged 263,000 viewers. This translates to a 0.2 national cable rating.
By comparison, the final first-run episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV back in November drew 980,000 viewers.
(Update: There’s a report from f4wonline.com that states Impact Wrestling drew 368,000. This number includes the replay show, which did 105,000 viewers. The original airing did 263,000).
Despite the fact that Impact lost the majority of its audience in the Destination American premiere, Impact was still the most watched show on the network this week. Changing nights next week (when Impact moves to Friday) also won’t help matters, but it will take several weeks before we learn what the new ‘normal’ is for TNA’s flagship show.
