Fans Split As WWE Omits Hulk Hogan From Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is in the history books, and the show was a nostalgic blast from the past for older fans. Alongside Jesse Ventura who provided commentary, WWE Hall of Famers Tito Santana, Koko B. Ware, Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine, and Jimmy Hart were in Uniondale, New York to go with the event’s retro theme.

One name fans didn’t see at Saturday Night’s Main Event was Hulk Hogan, arguably the name most synonymous with the show’s original run. Not only did the Hulkster not appear, but WWE made sure not to include any clips of the Hulkster during the show’s retro opening package.

On X, fans shared their reactions to Hogan not being featured in any way at WWE’s first Saturday Night’s Main Event show since 2008. Some were disappointed to learn that the Hulkster wasn’t featured.

While some fans believed Hogan should have had a role to play, many fans were pleased to not see the controversial Hall of Famer.

Hogan made racist comments that resulted in him being removed from WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2015, though he was reinstated three years later. More recently, Hogan has been vocal about his support for President-Elect Trump, with his comments in August about slamming Kamala Harris being met with a backlash.
