WWE Will Reportedly Give SmackDown A Cinematic Quality On Fox

WWE is expected to use a range of new cameras for their debut on Fox, giving SmackDown a more cinematic aesthetic.

WWE is aiming to implement a more “cinematic” aesthetic to their programming when SmackDown Live debuts on Fox on Friday, October 4th.

According to WrestleVotes and later corroborated by our own source with WWE, the goal is to give SmackDown Live the cinematic sheen we’ve seen from WWE Network programming such as the WWE 24 and 365 specials.

They will achieve this new look thanks to a range of new cameras that WWE has invested in. The promotion will reportedly shoot the blue brand with this new equipment when they debut on Fox. WWE are said to be very happy with the results.

Star-Studded

WWE and Fox are hoping to make an immediate impact upon their October arrival. Many celebrities and marquee former WWE Superstars having been invited to the show, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The hope is to give the debut a glitzy sense of importance, making it feel like a major sporting event. This could be a contributing factor behind using the Staples Center in Los Angeles to host the night’s show.

The move to Fox comes only two days after All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut their show on TNT.

WWE’s efforts not only allow them to put their best foot forward in terms of presentation but also acts as a means to try and make AEW seem less impressive by comparison.
