Adam Cole was in the main event of this week’s episode of NXT which managed to beat AEW Dynamite in TV ratings for the first time since the Wednesday night wars began.
Cole recently had an interview with The Wrap after the numbers came out and during the interview, the NXT Champion was asked about his thoughts on their victory.
Replying to it, the NXT star first claimed that he doesn’t “focus too much on the ratings,” but later acknowledged that winning is cool and he went on to say that they had a blast with the guys from Raw and SmackDown joining their show:
“We’re just mainly focused on trying to put on a really exciting, cool show. And last night’s show was just an absolute blast, with the guys from ‘Raw,’ the guys from ‘SmackDown,’ the matches that happened, it was just a really, really cool night and so I’m glad so many people enjoyed it.”
Adam Cole competed in a ladder match against Dominik Dijakovic on NXT this week and won the bout. His win in the match helped him earn the advantage for his team in the upcoming WarGames match.
