AEW vs. NXT

Viewership data is in for Week 9 of the NXT vs. AEW Wednesday Night War.

This week, we have a split between the two shows, with NXT scoring its second consecutive victory in total viewers, whileAEW had the edge in the Adults 18-49 demographic. AEW actually bested NXT in every demographic group except Adults 50+, where NXT had a significant edge as they usually do.

These episodes aired on the eve of Thanksgiving. The real story this week is AEW’s dropoff, which was far more significant than NXT’s.

WWE NXT Viewership

NXT on the USA Network averaged 810,000 viewers, which is down from 916,000 last week. In the 18-49 demo, they drew a 0.24, down from 0.30 the previous week. 

The episode featured WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) defeat Dominik Dijakovic & Keith Lee, Candice LeRae defeated Dakota Kai, WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush defeated Akira Tozawa, and Finn Balor defeated Tommaso Ciampa in the headliner.

AEW Dynamite Viewership

AEW Dynamite on TNT was watched by 663,000 viewers, down from 893,000 the previous week. In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite pulled in a 0.26, down from 0.39. 

Dynamite saw Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent) (w/Orange Cassidy) defeat Lucha Brothers, Kenny Omega defeats PAC, MJF (w/Wardlow) defeated Adam Page to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and AEW World Champion Chris Jericho defeated Scorpio Sky.
