Asuka defeated Ember Moon at NXT TakeOver:Brooklyn III, but suffered a collarbone injury during the match. Asuka then relinquished the NXT Championship and NXT General Manager announced that he had been negotiating with RAW GM Kurt Angle and SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan to find Asuka a landing spot on the main roster.
It was then announced in a vignette that Asuka will join the RAW roster. WWE has aired a couple vignettes on RAW recently to hype the Empress of Tomorrow’s RAW debut. The following was aired on this past Monday’s episode.
WWE has just announced on Twitter when Asuka will officially be making her RAW debut. She will debut on WWE’s TLC PPV next month on October 22nd. Asuka will definitely have her eyes on the RAW Women’s Championship, which will be defended tonight at No Mercy in a Fatal 5-Way match between Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Emma.
