Backstage News On Top Matches For WWE Clash Of Champions

Clash Of Champions lineup is coming along

WWE’s next pay-per-view event, Clash of Champions, is quickly approaching now that SummerSlam is in the rearview mirror.

WWE has yet to officially announce any matches for the show but has started a few storylines while continuing previous programs on television this week on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live.

First up are the new programs that are believed to be booked. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks is penciled in for the show.

Also, The Revival vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E and Xavier Woods has been pitched by the SmackDown writers, but not confirmed. WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has not approved the match to be added to the card yet.

It was reported earlier this week that Universal Champion Seth Rollins defending Braun Strowman is expected to be booked as the main event of this show.

Regarding programs that were started prior to SummerSlam include Randy Orton once again challenging WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ali, and Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan.

WWE presents the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event on in that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be officially announcing matches for this show in the coming weeks.
