Bret Hart became a two time Hall Of Famer when he and his late partner Jim Neidhart were inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of The Hart Foundation earlier this year. However, the induction also made some headlines due to the unfortunate incident with a fan who tried to attack Bret during his speech.
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the WWE Hall Of Famer and former World Champion talked about a number of things and he also revealed what were his immediate thoughts after the incident. Per Bret, he had come to honor his friend and his immediate focus after the incident was on finishing his speech:
“I came to the Hall of Fame with a real purpose to honor my friend and speak on his behalf about our accomplishments together, and I was not going to let someone ruin that moment, as soon as that disruption happened, my immediate focus was on finishing my speech and saying what I had to say. I’m glad that did not ruin the moment for Jim.”
Continuing on the topic, Bret Hart talked about Jim Neidhart and said that he loved Jim. He said that Neidhart was a team guy who liked the different styles they had. He claimed that they had a magical relationship and Hart then went on to speak about his time working in a tag team with Jim at length. You can check out Bret’s full interview at this link.
