WWE announced on SmackDown that Brock Lensar’s opponent at SummerSlam will be none other than Randy Orton. It will be the first encounter between the two legends in nearly 14 years.
Orton has been out of action since undergoing shoulder surgery earlier this year. Having battled chronic neck and shoulder injuries in recent years, Orton will have his hands full when he squares off against The Conqueror. Lesnar of course must first go through UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt at Saturday night’s blockbuster UFC 200 pay-per-view.
WWE SummerSlam 2016 takes place on Sunday, August 21st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Once again, SEScoops will be on site for SummerSlam and we’ll have exclusive coverage all weekend long.
