On Prichard’s Something To Wrestle With podcast, he revealed why King of the Ring was cancelled. Prichard stated that Vince McMahon simply didn’t like it. Prichard also said that the summer months were the slowest time of the year for the WWF when it came to revenue. The WWE released a new video today ranking the top 10 guest referees that attacked one of the Superstars in the match.
Finn Balor posted on Twitter his New Year’s Resolution. It is a photo of him dressed as the Demon King hovering around the Universal Championship. Balor became the first Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Unfortunately, he was injured during that match and had to relinquish the title the following night on Raw. It is clear that Balor will be focused on recapturing the title he never lost when he makes his return.
