Arda Ocal (@arda_ocal) of theScore Television Network caught up with Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake. Beefcake appears more open in this piece that in some interviews in the past. Highlights:
Pat Patterson giving him “The Barber” and how it spawned from a simple rib.
Watching Hulk Hogan play baseball as a kid and who decided to try wrestling first.
Memories of the “Barber Shop”:
“The one I did with Andre The Giant is probably my favorite because I watched him my whole life. It was the best interview segment that I ever saw him do. It makes me proud knowing that he was excited for it. He didn’t like doing interviews. For him to step up the way he did was an honor to me. That’s a show of respect in our business. That huge man stepped up and wanted to do a good job for me.”
What gave him the will to live after enduring a near fatal para-sailing accident, both his parents dying and a divorce in the early 90s.
