During his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Chris Jericho revealed an interesting WrestleMania match he had pitched to the Boss Vince McMahon involving the WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels which didn’t get approved.
According to Jericho, he had the idea for a match between him and the Former Wyatt Family Leader Bray Wyatt for WrestleMania XXX back in 2014. The match would have seen Michaels being in his corner for the match and the Wyatt Family on Bray’s.
However, this match wasn’t approved by Mr. McMahon because apparently, Chris read the room wrong while pitching the idea and it didn’t work out well for him:
“When I went to pitch it to Vince I read the room wrong and made some mistakes. Not only was there somebody else in the room, but he was also hungry and eating. It just led to this whole deck of cards falling, where had I pitched it under the rules of knowing my audience; I could’ve got it through.”
It’s worth mentioning here that during the same interview, Jericho also revealed that the finish of the US title match at Battleground was botched and WWE had to fix it two nights later on SmackDown Live.
After Chris Jericho’s idea wasn’t approved, Bray Wyatt faced John Cena in a one on one match during the PPV and Shawn Michaels ended up being a part of the pre show panel on the event.
