Chris Jericho’s WrestleMania 31 Status, WWE Wins Multiple CableFAX Awards

– Regarding a possible Chris Jericho appearance at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, he posted a photo on social media of he and his son snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains. Of course in the case of Jericho, anything is possible, as he has used social media to throw people off several times in the past.

WWE Tops ESPN and Turner Sports Winning Two CableFAX Awards

STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE has been named the winner of two 2015 CableFAX Digital Awards: “Social Media Dream Team,” honoring WWE’s social media department, and “Best Smartphone App,” for the WWE App.

WWE received the top honor of the night, beating Turner Sports, Discovery and OWN to win the award for Social Media Dream Team. WWE’s social media team manages 11 major platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Pinterest, where WWE has a passionate fan base of more than 460 million worldwide.

The WWE App, which has been downloaded more than 17 million times in 220 countries, was named Best Smartphone App, beating ESPN, Turner Sports, Crackle, Food Network and MSG.

In addition, for the second straight year, WWE Vice President, Social Media Jayar Donlan, was named to CableFax’s Digital Hot List, which recognizes top industry executives.

The 2015 CableFAX Digital Awards honors the outstanding websites, digital initiatives and people in the Digital and Technology industry that are driving the digital media revolution.
